Ani clearly and unequivocally accepted his love for Jhanak, showed the intent to marry her and stay with her forever....showed the intention of leaving Arshi clearly too.....yeh kaafi milestone achievement hi tha for Ani regardless of how he may get backtracked in the coming days

I sincerely believe Leena ne bhade me writer hire karwake initial 250 episodes likhwayen hai!! Aur uske baad Wale abhi tak ke episodes khud likh rahi hai..kyunki now what is shown is Leena's signature style of storytelling! The first 250s were completely in contrast to what she generally writes for her shows...🤐🤐

High chances that Srishti will manage to paint BBG as some kind of creep who took advantage of her and got her pregnant....woh shakal se hi creep lagta hai toh won't be hard for Srishti to make people believe this

This is where Leena can play on the original perception of BBG as a bad guy and Srishti can spin some story about how bechari she was that she hid the EMA wala baccha so that apni family ko protect kar sake...lol

My point of disagreement in your response if I may call it that is about the justification given to Ani’s character for his behaviour post Jhanak’s rejection. My point is Ani reacted badly to Jhanak’s rejection but his actions are his own. He deciding to do PDA and go ahead with his wedding with Arshi were his own actions, to link it to Jhanak’s rejection is about giving the matter the effect not the cause. We should be able to distinguish between the two. To say I understand why he acted is one thing but determining Jhanak’s actions as a cause for his actions is imv a fallacy. Yes, she overarched her authority to tell him what to do but what he did is still his own responsibility, isn’t it? Which is why when aag happened, he immediately course corrected…What were his monologues after she left BH? He questioned his love for her… he felt he couldn’t safeguard her… he felt it was best she went away from BH!! He did not blame Jhanak for the issues.

My issue with the track was they used expedient methods to convey the distance between Ani and Jhanak. It was unnecessary… Ani’s choice of priorities itself would have been enough to drive the wedge.

I emphasise on intent because that is more than apparent in each track from Ani’s side. With Jhanak, I haven’t seen the maturity yet so her intent shines when calamity falls…

And one thing I want to say is I'm not justifying ANI's actions by any means but trying to tell that all his behaviour during that track was completely in sync with what his character was shown to be from the beginning....

I know they're his own decisions and actions but from the start he was shown doing many mistakes because of Jhanak's behaviour and repenting later and adapting himself to the scenario too and that's what he did this time too... But this time there was a whole lot of decisions he needed to take that too unwillingly, by being duty bound in the middle of tragic circumstances....

In my pov, He simply couldn't hold the fort down at that point and I might also say he didn't have enough motivation to do so too. He simply let go and accepted the circumstances served to him BECAUSE he didn't know to what EXTENT he should go on his feelings for Jhanak...

But RIGHT NOW that's not the case... Not at all...

And If this behaviour of his was character degradation they've been continuously degrading his character, since the day he learnt about Rahul and Jhanak's relationship ... We saw how brutal he was since then on various occasions...

Or I might say his character itself was written that way... Grey, flawed, complex with severe mood swings BUT with a few core character traits intact... He can lie to others, manipulate others about anything and say anything when the situation demands it... Even ILU to Arshi, because THATS WHAT SHE EXPECTS FROM THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND HIM...

But he couldn't lie to himself and his actions always align with his truth at that particular time... And to prove to himself and everyone he's telling the truth he'll go to extreme lengths also because he HIMSELF KNOWS HIS WORDS HAVE NO VALUE...

Thats what I understood about him till now...

And in all this noone thought he is getting character degraded from the beginning of the show and actually came to love him so much, then why question him during Aag track? When he was hurt the most and his feelings were brutally thrown back on his face, won't he react? He is a grey, flawed person, after all...

If this is the logic you are giving, then even his convo with Arshi this week is totally justified...she EXPECTS him to share a room with her, live with her even after he confessed love for someone else....so even now so he gave her that only...simple. It's all part of his flawed character only, so phir toh kisi ko bhi koi problem nahin honi chahiye, simple

Just because someone EXPECTS something from you, you will go overboard giving empty platitudes and you yourself don't consider your words to have any value but then expect that Jhanak should believe your earnest confessions? When you render your own existence fundamentally insincere, you can't expect anything from anyone then.

You are painting a picture of Ani as a person with no fundamental integrity since day one so we shouldn't expect any now also. That's surely a different way of looking at it and I guess for me that is more fundamentally detaching. It kills all the layers and internal struggle they showed in his character all along if as per you you are saying he himself considers all his words meaningless, period

Arshi has lost her trust and love doe him gradually when he started taking stand for Jhanak. But they didnt break off, because od the family involved in their relation. Also Anirudh being a man who doesn't wnat to break his commitment given to a girl. This is where I always felt if Tanuja was good maa, he could have opend up to her , his confusion , how he was feeling unhappy with Arshi, hia growing fondness for Jhanak, how he wanted to break the marriage. If she was his support, he would have broke the marriage with Arshi Irrespective of Jhanak's yes . He has the courage, but lacked moral support .

Back to the aag series.... I understand that is one of Anirudh core character, standing up for what is right . If Jhanak was wrong, she should be punished. He was with the same stand when Shristi was proven guilty.... And that same characteristics was shown in Jhanak death track too... He stood against all and wanted to punish everyone involved in her death even of it is his parents...

That is Anirudh for me.

@bold: That's due to lack of support from his own family and not having trust on anyone to open up about his confusions and feelings as you said...

I take that also as one of his core character trait... It's hard for him to open up and also to let go due to his moral code...

But now, what he's doing is not at all in sync with his character till now...

People always blame him for Aag track, but this is like absolute disaster if they don't give any sort of explanation....

I would disagree....even the Fahmaan wala show is being shown in quite a toxic and abusive way.

I had heard from many people that the original Ichhe Nodee was one of Leena's least toxic shows so I was surprised when I saw few epis of Rab Rakha and saw the level of abusiveness being shown between the sisters there....that sister Adrija is like Arshi on steroids going overboard over every little thing....few epis back she slapped the FL so brutally and then pushed her so hard that the FL was bleeding from her head.....Leena is full on showing physical abusiveness so casually across all her shows and if this is what she shows in Bengali shows also, I'm amazed that anyone can call IN a non-toxic show

Even if ML didn't have an ex hanging around in that like in all other Leena shows, they still showed him way too casual with the PL and allowing her to jump around him in the name of casual acquaintance also....the entire rishta confusion was so lamely set up that it makes the YRKKH Gen 3 version of it look like a masterpiece in comparison. Leena's execution is wayyyyy poorer in her new shows even compared to maha toxic Jhanak.....lol after watching Jhanak, when you see her tropes repeated in other shows, it's even more unsettling and repulsive to watch cuz they don't have a basic anchor of a heartfelt connection like they did with Runak. It's just shallow half-baked jodis and upar se itna ganda cheap toxicity.

Has Leena always been such a shallow writer? Like her characters mouth very caricaturish dialogues without showing much thoughtfulness as personalities.

Actually I clearly stated that the reason he gave those empty platiudes is because he wanted to manage Arshi AND he wanted to try to believe them himself....

Why?

BECAUSE HE'S IN SUCH CONFUSED AND HURT STATE, WHERE HE WAS STILL QUESTIONING HIS FEELINGS AT THAT POINT DUR TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS BRUTALLY TOLD HE WAS WRONG TO EVEN HAVE THOSE FEELINGS BY THE SAME PERSON WHOM HE HAD FEELINGS ON AND OPENED UP TO!

He didn't know to what EXTENT he can go for his love for Jhanak, especially after such a brutal setback at that point.... You can call it a form of self preservation, if you will.... Or another way to put it is taking the the most peaceful and simple way out... Or Like he accepted DEFEAT...

But now, he CAME OUT OF HIS SELF PRESERVATION MODE, after he got HA AND almost died himself ...

He completely put his heart out in the open for everyone to see... Including Arshi... And he decided to FIGHT! And he DID FIGHT very hard too....

How will they justify his dialogus now? How will they justify his DEFEAT now?

I didn't watch Rab rakha...I only can tell that it is based on ichhe nodi...in eechhe nodi the ML was quite strict and never entertained the PL....but yes...Adrija character was verbally abusive there also...but physical abuse I do not remember clearly though..
