This show looks like a never ending GATHA of why Jhanak cannot be with Ani.....sometimes I feel show ka main mudda hi yahi hai smiley37. End result main Ani ko hi bakrasmiley37 Bana dengay .

Bold - 😂😂😂 kehna mushkil hain..my own experience of itv watching is poor… so far there are only 4-5 serials that I have watched start to almost end smiley37smiley37 so you can imagine my experience and judgment 😂😂

if a serial doesn’t draw me in 2 weeks I am usually out…vision and writing is my first criterion followed by lead chemistry. I like characters that have neatly fleshed out traits. For instance, one stark difference between Ani & Jhanak is pride. Ani doesn’t attach a lot of importance to that aspect and Jhanak keeps that as the cornerstone of pretty much everything she does. Ani could stake everything and his pride to ensure Jhanak had a better life. Jhanak couldn’t appreciate the better life if it involved ignominy… Jhanak never understood what Ani prioritised in this journey and Ani never understood what Jhanak’s reservations about this kind of a journey were.

The problem and beauty in a contrarian way in this story is there is not much of an external conflict so stretching it will cause for degenerative plot lines and loss of characterisation. But the personality conflict from which the story derives its heft can be explored but it also needs to be resolved decently in time as a love story has a shelf life… the love can go on forever 😂😂

Jhanak’s outpourings of Didi jhaap is only a mukhota and I don’t see that as odd; Given her circumstances; being constantly having to use the back door entry for anything, she resents that position strongly. She is an adiyal of a different kind. 😂😂 but that adiyalpan also has hues… it’s like in at least 3-4 shades.

The Jhanak who was first brought to BH by Ani and the ways in which Ani had to work overtime in inventive ways to keep her there. It took her a long time and an understanding that Ani was attached/attracted to her to make her indulgent towards Ani yet not completely as she genuinely felt the relationship had no future knowing Arshi was in the mix. She indulged him but never encouraged him.

The Jhanak that left for Kashmir and the one that returned from Kashmir, as also the we see now, there is different kind of ziddipan 😂😂 but it has a common thread in that too… her place has to be from the front door!!

Maya made an insightful observation that she found Jhanak’s behaviour post intimacy strange or unacceptable ( story wise). This show posits the principal characters and gives them actions that are justifiable or explainable.. Jahan woh khade hain wahan se woh sahi hain aur agar galat hain toh bhi unki fitrat hain…

After intimacy,… it’s here that you see a Jhanak who has a different personality. Its unfortunate that for the sake of the twist, Leena did not reveal the post intimacy scenes… Surely a girl as young as Jhanak would have experienced something significant post intimacy but the narrative decided to gloss over it… What Jhanak went through is something I am analyse in hindsight …The night of intimacy, was preceded by the panditji cancelling the Ani-Arshi wedding, Ani’s plan for Jhanak -Rahul wedding, It had already caused a lot of stress where her dil ki baat zubaan par aa gayi

Also, the mental barriers she crossed mustn’t have been easy. She gave in to his entreaties even knowing that he may not remember much the next day. Such was the force of the love/attraction they felt that the long held inhibitions were forgotten. She instinctively knew his illness was exacerbated by her tongue lashing and she gives in to those suppressed feelings. The morning after, reality strikes… Ani is hesitant in both his approach ( he doesn’t genuinely remember ofc the dialogues were vague), and his conduct as if he was weighing in possibilities how to deal with the new reality of keeping Jhanak part of his life. As Ani was choosing words to handle this, the phone from Arshi comes and Ani goes on to the acting mode… taking the actions of the night as an aberration for Ani, she dons a mask and hardens her stance. To stake the relationship on a night of intimacy when she let go so many other giveaway signs… would have been hard. She already moved away earlier knowing that Ani won’t stake his relationship with Arshi so this dilly dallying scene she misreads as Ani of the yore ( do naav main savaar)

Ani knows Jhanak loves him and so gets her back to BH and reminds her of the promise, Jhanak’s reaction is baliistic ( like in the earlier phase - a sort of regression to the older Jhanak who was quick to take offence at every slight) Jhanak on the other hand sees Ani as opportunistic for the first time. Jhanak isn’t kind or understanding when she tells off Ani ( who has just about mustered the courage to air his real feelings to her) as she is still reading him as wanting to balance the relationships.

She is a case of once bitten twice shy!! in fact I find her pretty clear in what she wants - irrespective of what she mouths.. She wants Ani exclusively!! At the moment she lacks the courage to go after her heart’s desire. Her jhaap isn’t mahanta and any dialogues is all jhoot…or just meant to obfuscate.Call it whatever you want, I sense her withdrawal is about her lack of conviction that Ani can be free of Arshi….ofc you can already see her dropping pride in this track for the first time just like Ani who is vocal about choosing her. It’s a balm to her heart and her presence despite everything is a balm to his.

she will cotton on to his issues ( contract etc whatever it be that keeps Arshi in the mix) and perhaps one way forward could be how they deal with the problem. In the beginning I see her retreat but she will fight for her love. A big part of her courage could also be the BBG reveal and Ani’s part in protecting her could give her an understanding of what Ani staked in this relationship. That track could be about gaining courage to fight for love. She has always receded maybe she will take the lead when Ani is forced by circumstances to recede…

sorry for the long post.. just rambled.. I could be wrong about many things here though 😂😂😂

While I really enjoyed your interpretation of J's character growth, I cannot relate to J understanding Anirudh's part in keeping her father's identity a secret.. atleast in the beginning there are chances that J will not understand his pov... because Leena has shown multiple times that J is very sensitive about her mother's status...so when she will come to know about her father's identity, at the same time she will know that Anirudh knew it and he kept her mother's last letter a secret...I feel this will bring the biggest crack in Runak equation, atleast from J's side...

Coming to Arshi...the way things are unfolding, she is no more relevant in Runak equation..she will be kept relevant untill Anishit marriage is declared invalid, which will happen soon...after that due to Srishti and Vinayak's past with Urvashi, Arshi and J will be directly connected and not through Anirudh..how it will be done, that is yet to be seen...for that BBG identity reveal is necessary...time to time Leena will bring Arshi to create problems between Runak...but she will no longer be the dominant cause of problem between Runak...Arshi will be relevant in the story in her own right... that's why she is placed in the montage along with Runak..

@bold: This is so bang on! smiley32.....and actually explains a lot of the basis for conflict between themsmiley36....they both just view pride very differently as a priority. Even though Ani is accused of being egotistic, he has placed his pride on the line MANY times to uplift Jhanak and drive her to succeed....but for Jhanak, pride usually comes before everything - especially her own betterment.....lol she ties up any help from Ani with her vision of pride....I've noticed that this pride doesn't rise up as much when others offer her help...case in point how relaxed she is about taking endless help from AK right to this datesmiley36. But when Ani offers help, she ties it up with pride...there it suddenly becomes an ego battle that the help must be on the terms she decides or she will insult Anismiley36

Her name is being linked to AK also but she is cool taking as much help he offers regardless of the linking up....while in Ani's case, the pride comes in between any offers of help or support from himsmiley36

I don't mind long posts smiley36

Bold: ofcourseshe always wanted ani exclusively. Night before when she had to left for kashmir she made it clear to the audience too with something like taunting him ki " mai Aapki tarh nahi hu jo kisi or ka gift kisi or ko de du " ......clearly talking about him gifting himself to arshi. Jo gift jhanak ko milna chahiye tha.

my only problem with her was the way she shot Ani down without even hearing what he wanted to say. Thinking he's doing do nav ki sawari and all. Ani pe nahi toh ek baar khud pe hi bharosa kar leti ......that the person she is in love with can't be a philanderer smiley36.

Whatever Anirudh will do to get J back in his life, I will support now onwards..and this is not because of Anishit incompatibility, but due to the fact that he deserves to be happy..I mean look at his parents! Their son was about to die, still they are supporting Arshi and not listening to their son's pleas...I enjoyed the dialoguebaji between Bips and Ani when Ani sarcastically commented about Arshi's concern about his health...This Anirudh understands who are his real apne log...and he will fight to keep these people as close to him as possible...

While this track highlights the difference between J and Arshi when it comes to loving Ani in difficult times, it also gives a hint of the difference between Ani and Arshi when giving respect to their long time association...Ani sacrificed his happiness to bring Arshi back to normalcy after the aag incident...he even overlooked his love for J and disappointed her with his demand for sacrificing the trophy...On the contrary, Arshi neither felt the need to be thankful for his unwavering support during her tough times nor remained present in his difficult times...I still believe if Arshi remained by his side during this health emergency, he would have kept his feelings for J hidden and prioritised his adhi shadi with Arshi...but complete lack of compassion on the part of Arshi has driven Ani against her now..

It’s a strange dichotomy… she doesn’t see him as a philanderer…it’s a bit more complicated…if I can try to explain..She was deeply hurt and she lashed out not reading his attempts well… she expected more of the past do naav savaari…but you can see her being very upset at the PDA after pushing him to honour the commitment ( which was an overreach from her end in any case; she appropriated to herself the authority to tell Ani what to do with his life cos somewhere she believed he only loved her but can’t let go Arshi)

Where love is concerned, three is a crowd. Even if there are no complications, the crowding is usually resented… here we are talking about severe complications… situations, personality traits. So, if we see this from a person whose angst comes from identity etc also she deals with a character like Ani 😂😂😂
