This is a jab towards the makers of Jhalak because all season, they have been making stupid decisions, which is now costing them dearly because no one wants to watch anymore! Think I'm overreacting? Let me refresh your memory then.
Do you guys remember when Rangeela decided to telecast half the performances one week, and the other half the next week? Remember that which lacked any intelligence whatsoever? Oh, and how about their live studio audience, who's liking that? And let's not forget, ALL the wild card entries are kids! Oh, and the cherry on the cake: "Jhalak, hot hai!" If I hear the word 'hot' come out of anyone's mouth again, I will scream! And I almost forgot to mention everyone's favorite judge, Jaqueline Fernandez! She is such an amazing judge, best decision ever Rangeela!
Seriously, who the hell is running this show?!
But enough about all that, let's focus on something positive! Like... today's episode. First of all, Amitabh Bachchan was there, which was great. Seeing people lose their shit because he cut two bhindis was a the highlight of the episode, a real treat. Second of all, it was raining 30s today! Shantanu, Salman, maybe even Karishma because I actually can't remember for the life of me, what she got today.
Let's start with Shakti though. Um, I thought that Suchitra's choreography was actually really good, she used the kid (Aditya was it?) properly, made sure that he didn't overshadow the act, or they didn't overshadow him. And especially since that little boy was a non-dancer, it was good on Suchitra's part. But it wasn't a great act, I didn't enjoy it. And I also felt as though Shakti was a bit off today... I really, truly think that he deserved that 25 that he got.
Moving on to Arjun, first of all, hats off to him because even walking in heels, let alone dancing in them, is hard enough, and Arjun's never even worn heels before, so just for that, I'd give him something higher than a 24. Also, he went out of his comfort zone, Bhavna wasn't even there to dance with him, I think that he still did great! I'd give him a 25, maybe even a 26 to be very honest with you. And, I was super pissed at Ganesh and Karan because one, have either of them ever tried to dance in heels, with only a week to prepare? And two, what else could Bhavna have done with two guys who's specialty is to dance in heels? She choreographed it to the best of her abilities, I mean, the choreography wasn't anything special, but it wasn't terrible!
Now let's talk about my favorite... You know who I'm talking about... Shantanu!!! He finally got a 30, like it is about damn time! I honestly expected the judges to give him no more than a 27 or a 28 because they're so unfair when it comes to him, BUT HE GOT A 30!!! I am so happy right now, he's finally getting what he deserves! And today's performance was so good, especially Shaan's solo! Alisha's choreography was amazing, it was so beautiful to watch, and to listen to because of Suleiman, I really hope I spelled his name right, and I think the three of them made a great team! Also, I'd like to mention that at least Suvreen had lyrics, which is a good thing cue-wise. Shaan and Alisha had one instrument to go by, and people are underestimating how hard that actually is.
As for Karishma, she was good, as much I hate to admit it, I would prefer to see her getting a 28 or a 29, but I wouldn't scream and cry out in agony because she gets a 30 either. I feel as though having to work with such a big group of talented dancers who's coordination is as easy as breathing for them can both be an advantage, and a disadvantage. An advantage obviously because they're dancers, unlike some of the other IGT contestants. But the obvious disadvantage was keeping up with them, and that fact that there's SO many of them. I think Rajit is a great choreographer, and Karishma actually did really well, as much as I hate to admit it.
Suvreen, I've seen you do better honey. It's hard to perform with a live band, that much is clear, and both Suvreen and Sanam took a HUGE risk by giving Suvreen a solo portion. And they were off-beat, they had issues with the tempo... I think she deserved that 24 today. And I'm happy that at least she's aware of the fact that they had issues with the tempo, like Ganesh said. I just want her to come back with a BANG!
Moving on, I am loving Nora nowadays. She was great last week, extremely underscored! Um, she was blindfolded, while she did an aerial act, that involved her getting up and getting on that contraption, so a standing ovation for her please, ladies and gentlemen. I do not under any circumstances understand why Ganesh gave her a 9, she deserved a 10 from him, because that act is worth 30 marks, not even 29, 30 freaking marks! You hear me Ganesh Hegde?! I will literally swap marks with Shantanu, that's how good I think she was.
And finally, Salman the dancer cum gymnast zyada. Okay, I get that what he did was difficult, and if this show was not entirely based on dance, I would've given this performance a whopping infinity and beyond out of 30 points. But this is a dance show, and I saw zero, I kid you not, zero dancing today from Salman. I'm sorry, I'm so done with this man at this point. Like, I'm skipping his performances, no thank you.
Next week's concept seems... interesting. A little stupid when I first heard about it, but interesting. I'll be laughing my ass off nonetheless.
