I guess Jhalak is pretty boring this season pretty much sums up the first part of your post lol. And I agree. Kuch bhi hot nahi hai. This is so evident from the state of the forum itself. Usually jhalak forums arent like this.
But moving on Shanthanu is my absolute fav in the show and I am sad that he got in this season out of all lol. But the performance with suleiman just blew me away. And he finally got the marks he deserves.

But Nora was mindblowing yet underscored unfortunately. That is my only complaint regarding the episode.

I'm so mad that Shaantanu's in this season! With people like Salman and Karishma and Bias Dikhlaa Jaa, I don't think there's any scope for Shaan to win this thing.
Nora I started liking after the family performance! It was beautiful, and her aerial act was so good! I'm actually starting to like her now and I'm glad that she's not going to be leaving any time soon.

Feelin' it. 😛 LMAO, that's what Salman and his group did. All were throwing Antara around as if she's some object. It's Salman who's supposed to be the highlight of the act which I didn't perceive from the act.

I was not impressed, Salman continues to disappoint me.

Finally Shan and his 30. Though I do feel it was more of a recurrently deserved 30 from previous performances than a 30 for this performance alone. Some parts felt a bit low to me, but the ending especially was brillant. Shantanu dances like poetry, it's such a treat to the eyes that you never realize the kind of hardwork that must have gone behind it. I doubt it's Alisha's choreography though. It looked far more like Macy's choreography than Alisha's to be honest.
Nora deserved that 30. Though it did slip at one point I think, so I don't know if Ganesh cut the marks for that. When you do something like an aerial act, the transitions should be smooth to the T. 'Cause a little bit of deviation shows. Nevertheless it was a brilliant act, lacking partly in some portions of full-out dance, but that's how aerial acts are as well so fair enough.

I actually beg to differ on Salman's act. I've disliked all his acts so far except the one with his wife, but this one was at par, if not better. Just like aerial doesn't have full out dancing, acrobatics doesn't have full out dancing as well, because you have to make the formations at different points. It probably lacked full out dancing, but I was thoroughly impressed, especially on how they used the stage. I loved the jumping on the sofas to go up part. It was marvellously done, so smooth! It wouldn't be fair to say he didn't deserve that 30.

The rest so-so. Karishma I don't even remember her performance. Shakti was alright, I thought it was better than they made it out to be. Wasn't that bad choreography. They had some pretty decent lifts with that kid. Arjun was pathetic. Ganesh and Karan were a tad bit critical, fair enough, but they were also right in what they said. It might be difficult dancing in heels, but Arjun looked very, very uncomfortable. You're an actor, curtaining your discomfort should be the first thing you learn, be it acting or dancing. Surveen I didn't care enough to watch the whole thing, felt too off beat for me at some point so I just stopped.

P.S. - Yes this seaosn is still pathetic. And now no matter what they do, they won't be able to redeem it.

Shantanu was amazing. I am glad they pulled off dancing to the flute tiune well and dint go off beat like Surveen. It was beautiful and a well deserved 30.
As much as I dislike Salman, even his act deserved a 30 . What he did was difficult as well but pulled off nicely.
Nora was highly over scored. I couldn't believe none of the judges even pointed out the co ordination misses in her act and even in the last bit where she had to spin with her prop , she just couldn't do it and at one point her body was shaking badly and the prop wasn't even moving at high speed. Execution is as important as difficulty level and she is a dancer , so I din't understand what for she was let go with such high marks ? Had this been Shantanu they wouldn't have been so kind .

You noticed that too?! I didn't want to say anything because maybe it was just me being weird, but this is not Alisha's usual style, I know that for a fact.
See, at first she was doing okay performances, and getting overscored, and then she started giving us phenomenal acts, so now they're underscoring her. I don't understand JDJ's thought process, like, it's beyond me, hats off to them for continuously baffling me at every turn.
I know with non dancers it's hard to incorporate dance moves, and I'm not saying they were bad, I was impressed! Just pissed off by the lack of dancing, as usual. At least Salman's consistent.
Yeah, I was super excited for Suvreen and Shakti at first, now i'm like, bye!

Which is weird, because Suvreen actually had lyrics to go by, and Shaan had one instrument, so it was definitely harder for him.
It was difficult, but there was no dance. It was great, but there was no dance.
Um, Nora was blindfolded for most of the act, and as Ganesh mentioned, after taking a blind fold, people are a bit disoriented, and I din't see too much of that from Nora, so I say that was underscored.

Ganesh mentioned the disorientation bit but said she did well which wasn't the case. When she was spinning with the prop for example she wasnt blindfolded and in many places later. My thing is one should give marks for both difficulty level as well as execution. Nora's act lacked proper execution . The co ordination problems were showing more coz Cornell and Malkhit were doing it together perfectly. And the main point also being she is a dancer. I don't understand the judges. So harsh on Shantanu at times, but so lenient on other dancers like Nora and Salman.
