@AreYaar: I was beginning to think i was the only one who was actually liking the choreography this season because everyone's complaining how the most established faces are not present this season!
You're bang-on about the contestants being 'into' the show this time which is why I also feel the connection I had lost when this moved to Colors.
I see what you mean about the acting-based thing. Sanaya, Dipika, Kavita and the men, they are actors first and in the process of becoming 'dancers' via this show. I truly feel the lot this time is the best Colors' has had since it took over. Radhika is a dancer first and then became an actress. So I see why there is a difference. She has technique in her body courtesy her training but I don't find her involved in her performance at all which disconnects me as an audience. And in my school, that was not considered to be the sign of a good dance performance. Radhika is a good dancer but she is yet to give a good performance which is why she has disappointed me. But it's only been two weeks. I am not dissing her at all.
And for your last comment, I do agree with it. I hope for a lot of these contestants to stay for long. Not everyone from TV makes it too far but they're not one of the early-goers either. Still, the bottom two this time was two TV actresses. And if you're talking of Vivian and Sanaya, I won't hold my breath. They're going to go really far.
@MissDareDevil: I don't appreciate unwarranted remarks against physical attributes of any contestant in my post. If you really have an urge to reply, try discussing what this show is meant for and keep hockey sticks and golgappas out of it.
@--megs_arsha--: A lot of us expected more from Radhika. But it's only been two weeks, I am still hoping she'll bounce to her full form soon.
About Scarlett, well I don't really know about her much. All I know is I am probably looking forward the most to her performances. I don't see a winner in her either way.
Thank you for your reply!
@nine2: Hi, thank you, nice to see you again! And please do disagree! I love it when people disagree with me (respectfully of course), it makes for more fun discussions. Thank you for posting your DDT review since I didn't visit there this week.
I don't know much about classical (except telling a good performance from a bad one) so I appreciate the little insight into that. I see what you mean about the lazy hands though especially since it's the most common mistake those attempting classical make.
I agree, Sanaya's performance was missing a spark despite how much the act suited her. I am holding on to my patience though keeping in mind her injury.
Oh I had a problem with all the 10s given. But like you, I don't mind them being critical of Sanaya, they should be fair though.
Vivian felt overscored compared to especially Mohit and Radhika but if we compare his last week's 32 to this week's 32, I think it was fine.
I am actually more in favour of judging by capability but i agree there has to be some common yardstick as a base.
@spotlight: Beats me, I was wondering the same!
@RollingStones: Thank you so much for your kind words!
You so echo my thoughts on this week, I have nothing to add. It's okay if we disagree on Faisal, not everyone can agree on everything :)
@SheDevil: Thank you! I get what you're saying about Sanaya, I guess I was hoping for more specially after reading all those articles which basically gave me the impression that she did amazingly.
Rest I agree with everything you said :)
