That's a completely unbiased statement and I concur 😊

the only non trained dancers are Shaan, Sid & Drashti..

all the others have been trained at least in one form of dance..

That's true but don't you think nowadays most entertainers have at least some dance training?

these are all valid arguments - if there were only ppl with no dancing ability/talent and only popularity we would end up with a flop show bc this is not a comedy show or a drama show - it is a dance show and viewers will expect to see some good performances. And a lot goes into making a show successful and humour definitely helps - I found bharti and Manish really worked well last year and that is probably why the channel roped in Kapil (as a side note, I'm still undecided if this was a smart move). Also, where do you draw the line? Drashti has danced on award shoes and to an extent so has Sid (granted that the dances on awards shows are not complicated and a different calibre of dance is expected on a dance show). Nevertheless even Sid (arguably the worst dancer left in Jhalak right now or maybe not) has more dancing "experience" than lets say Shrikanth...I agree with Salman that in the end you want to root more for the people who have not had as much dancing background because of their other successful careers but can improve and give praise worthy acts.

i do want to add that this year we have an overabundance of dancers - last year in the finale we were supposed to have rashmi, isha, rithvik and gurmeet. Of them only gurmeet was the "non-dancer" bc he never had any special training, but except for Isha the other 3 all had other projects (ie: soaps they were participating in). This year the channel seems to have selected people on mainly their dance ability when it comes to the wildcards - in other words, you bring in dancers with the ability to spend 8 hours or more a day practicing their act and then they are judged against ppl without as much training who do not have the time to give either - clearly it becomes very challenging for contestants that are non-dancers. This is where the anger of having too many dancers comes from. I'm not sure about Mantra but last year all of the wildcards were involved in TV (ie: had another job); this year it seems like non of them do... (this is just my opinion - if its not true let me now (no insult to anyone))😛

What Salman has said, is really meaningless. I don't know why he said that. May be it's beyond his capacity to understand such things.

I support him because he is with Drashti, otherwise he is just a choreo/dancer what he even knows about organizing shows.😆 But I can never support this, even if my most fav person says this.

I think the popularity factor is even more advantageous. So a pro dancer with no popularity has the chance to create popularity by good performance. Wile our fav can maintain her popularity by improving dance. So the format is FAIR for me.

Listen bro, if all popular faces, but no dancers are taken in the show, it will be a TRP flop due to low quality of dance. Lets not forget majority of the viewers are not branded fans of any celebrity. Well they might take a side during the show, but very few follow them day and night. They are the TRP generators... Fans are common factors in every show...

If only fans would generate TRP, then popular shows wouldn't be flop... Fans don't leave, common people leave first. As fans we need to get the right ideas in our heads and not stop using our brains for blind petty fight...

Sorry if that hurt you. But I also want People from varieties backgrounds to make a show interesting and it's wonderful to see how people evolve and compete with pro dancers and how pro dancers turn popular figures.

Hope I didn't hurt you. Lets continue our support for our fav ...😉

Why would you hurt me? I have a mind of my own --- And I'm the last person to follow my favourites blindly. 😆

I did not say popular or less popular can join the show ... I said all the stars can ... even those who are good in dancing ... but professional dancers/choreographers can't. If they want to gain popularity they can do that too thru choreography. Like Salman did. It's not hard.

That's what Salman was trying to say. More than you and I, he knows how much BG dancing each of the contestants have.

Smart and cunning is what Salman is. Now he thinks this show is for people like DD, Sid and Shaan?Where was he in the previous seasons when he had Isha and Yana. No wonder this dude didnt win even one season...shows how great of a choreographer he is...just overhyped is what he is...because he a judge's fave student🥱

@Bold1: that's the spirit ... Blind following and supporting everything is a big problem. I'm happy you are a fan like me..😆

@Bold2: Still this is a choice of the individual. Who is he to say they can't participate? It's their choice if they want to be a participant and has that opportunity, why not? The show needs good dancers to improve others and for TRP. I think you didn't understand my point in previous post.

Ya no doubt he knows dancing background of other dancers, but not about the show and what makes a show popular... As a fan I'm really disappointed with his comment and these are the things give bad name to Drashti.

IMO: He should dance and better not talk about the concept of the show in that way, when people feel that he is trying o manipulate.

Everyone knows season 5 belonged to him and Isha. Was he overhyped then too? No!
& idk if you are judging his talent as a dancer or choreo, but i'm sure u know he won dance india dance. You guys make it sound like he sucks and is being given publicity for nothing. 😳
Give the guy some credit even if he isn't your favorite yaar

& it seems like everyone is putting words in his mouth. All he said is that the show is for people like Shaan, Sid, and DD. He didn't say there shouldn't be any trained dancers. Pros like Lauren and Mukti raise the standard and give non-dancers the motivation to do better in order to match up with them.

Idk what all the fuss is about over one statement
