History... Since Geet days which then continued into MB forum.
DD is loved by her fans... she's their princess. Just like all fans... all fans love their fav.
So what made them stand out more? The love of DDians for DD was as such that you could not crticise her for acting, expressions, clothes , make up, character onscreen. The minute you made the smallest crticism - your posts were reported and a bunch of ppl flew in to prove you wrong. Infact some also made personal attacks. And the lovely mods stood and watched.
Every actor/actresses has fans I agree and all of them cannot be similar. Not even all DD fans would be similar. But DD must have somethign they like, love or adore, there are so many people who is so protective of her and cannot take any criticism for her.
It is not hidden that there has been huge amount of trouble in MB forum as a result - things got very nasty. Tit for tat games started. Where as VDians were cool enough to be able to have fun regarding VD and RK. DDians were equally protective.
I wonder this coolness has gone where when a new male character was introduced. As far as I have seen this happened in his previoous show forum too where a new male lead introduced and there was so much objections calling him each and every bad name to that actor like now which is happenig in MB forum for the other male character.
Bec of the personal attacks - forum fights day to day things became crap. We all did many things to spite each other..
Some of us never made a secret of it that DD doesn't satisfy is as an actress and her expressions in scenes and body language is inappropriate most of the time for the character she is playing.
This was the truth which her fans considered bashing... just because you were adoring the male character 😳.
I remeber same thing happened on the other side too. The wooden expression (THE WORD WHICH WAS MOST APPROPRIATE TO DESCRIBE MALE LEAD) was used whenever, there is a huge cry from the fans of him too.
Although VD is my fav - I do not watch MB - Because of DD and her acting and her expressions. As a viewer who has watched a lot of cinema and TV - Both British and Indian - cannot see an ounce of talent in her 99% of the time. And when u watch a show - U are bound to go ino the forum and comment and break a few egg shells and the offensive crack will cause a thunder.. so best not to watch the show. If I can't stomach her acting - that's my issue.. I choose not to watch her, rather than watching her and daily making a post to criticise.
You and I are in the same boat in this. I started watching the show for DD but sadly the male lead acting was so bad, I just feel like vomiting whenever I see him on screen, his continuous shouting in each and every kind of scene with the same kind of expressions and same way of saying dialogues . So had to stop watching the show completely. And now heard he is geting worse day by day and his physique too is an insult for all the Superstars of the bolly wood since he was known to as portraying a Superstar's character. Good I quit the show. even for DD I cannot tolerate his acting. So I can relate to you really well here.
Things continued in the same pattern.. and along came a grp - that stated they wanted to straighten the Forum out and turn the fanclub into a forum. Some of them were genuine where as some of them came to chance pe dance.
No doubt to a certain limit they were funny... and entertaining. Esp when they called DD - Dexters sister.. BUT When a grp of lads esp are calling a woman Bra size double D... That's were it crosses the limits. For those shouting Vulgar vulgar today - did u not find these comments vulgar?
Maybe the originals of this grp in general meant good... but they did not conduct themselves in the correct way - as they went abt irking all different fan grps - but also concluded that DDians still needed that extra bit of attention still. Did they do this bec there was no other way of doing it? Or was it because certain ppl were using this grp and joining forces to take their on personal revenge... God only knows. (Bec I rem one member coming into criticise VD... as she always did with a passion).
I believe practice what you preach is appropriate for here. And about these things happenign as a DD fan I am not at all worried, because DD herslef never gave a damn about these things. She knows she has some loyal fans who will support her in everyway and it is not about a charatcer she portrayed she got fans. It is her personal life, the way of she hadnles her life, professionally and personally which was adored by fans. So some bashers saying anything doesn;t matter to her loyal fans either.
Moral of the story there... Weeks down the line.. Have things improved? Can one still comment on DD honestly. Are people being honest with their opinions on her.
For me - I still don't appreciate her acting.. though I did like her briefly in Geet back in the days.
BUT as DD - I wanted to give her a fair chance - If someone works in two shows and works hard esp as a woman then I'm not the person to kick their efforts in the teeth. If she wins I'll be happy for her... BUT Bear in mind if she is working hard - doesn't mean that others are not and I appreciate everyone's efforts.
Maybe when ppl gave their true opinion on DD - in MB forum - if fans had not overreacted - things will not have got to this stage.
When the opposite fan group is too insecure and unsure of their favourite's acting capabilities and limitations, this is bound to happen in anyway.
I hope that DDians will become less protective of DD, and that those who dislike her to the max - will also cut her some slack.
As a DD fan I promise you I would be protective of her and that is my right and my decision. Thank you for the advice though. This also better to practice on yourself in case of your favourite.
Coming to the DD and the articles and the show and channel.
This is my POV - I have not watched all the epi's.. MY POV could be wrong... And I don't mean to offend fans - nor encourage those that dislike her.
1. I disagree with KJO that she is almost if not perfect as a dancer. She makes a great effort - but still most of the time she has done a lot of lift work - and not all sorts of dancing yet. Even that is not 100 % clean.
Her lift work is good... and I'm awed by some of the lifts she does esp for someone who is not a prof dancer.
2. Her black dress. Many called it inappropriate. Yes it was short and I was amazed at her for wearing that - but as I watched the performance I could understand why it was tight fitted. At the point where Salman licked her leg - she was upside down - if she wore something loose - then it would have flipped backwards revealing alot more than one can bargain for.
Yes I know I kind of enjoyed that dance - I must be a behooda for that! 😳😛 BUT in all honesty - It was outrageous - and not something a family can sit and watch comfortable... just like some scenes in Indian soaps - you can't watch them in front of family.
BUT - It was her make up and the expressions that made it look vulgar. The make up artist puts too much make up on DD- and DD doesn't need it. They created a smokey eyes Chameli with the red mouth. They could have created the effect.. and made the make up less around the eyes to create a good balance.
3. When you have an Indian outfit as Indian - no matter how short it is ppl may not see it as vulgar - and the same for a western outfit. BUT the minute you make a mix and match - it takes away the essence of the dress and presents it something inappropriate. Yes her outfit did look Vulgar simple because of the mix match in style. Yet - I liked the fact that she wore cyclers underneath, in comparison to Sana's outfit.
There were parts of the seq - that was very nice like that statue twirl. I loved it.. BUT then there were some lifts that went a bit OTT... Esp the finishing one. I didn't like the scissors position in this dance as much as I didn't like the one in Laurens dance.
4. Her first dance - I loved it the one in the white/blue gown. She looked good and the dance was perfect for me.
5. Egyptian dance. DD looked nervous, There was no dancing. Egyptian act and concept was good. When the poll came down she became shakey too - it wasn't flawless,,. and the make up was too much,. The outfit - I thought was awrite - it was in theme.
These are her performances that I have seen.
BUT Still looking at these - I will say that Judges are over generous with her with the marks, I feel Remo is biased.. Madhuri - she's too busy mardaa - lying, and Karan Johar - surprises me - is he the same director ppl say looks for perfection till he fainted in Bole chudriyan making?
No other person is being promoted for their characters... Good for Karanvir - Warna bechaare ko Viraj ke naam ka torture mileyga 😆.
So it is obvious that colors are being biased - esp since DD is the only one dancing with the actors etc. Everyone is there to win.. but are they being fair to the other contestants? At first I thought maybe ppl are saying this for the sake of it - but it's true Channel is promoting the show MB - And DD bec of it. However.. they are falling flat on their face. You cannot expect to promote DD as MB - PPL will see her then in a negative light that their serial bahu is participating in dances which they find inappropriate. You can't then turn around and say - but wait that is DD not MB.
Either she has come as DD or MB... One or the other.. Simple. For me she is DD...
Just going back.. In my opinion why there is much hype on why DD's performances are tagged with the V word - are bec not just for her clothes or the act. BUT It's her expressions - as an actress in a show I feel that she doesn't give the right expressions - I feel that is her problem here too... the performance is not all abt dance - but being in the character.. and giving the right attitude. With DD her expressions are a bit more than needed and it takes the act on a different level. Just like Mukti - trying to be Sri devi - was just not doing it right and gave wierd expressions instead. Salmaan - has to work on doing something different... bec the way he is going if he was a proff in a college - I wouldn't want to send my daughter there - if I had one... INFACT - I woudn't even send my badtameez forum daughters there! 😛😳
I am happy Colors is promoting her like that. Last year Gia was kicked out of her show because in JDJ she would be showing with different kind of outifts and with a different look which would not go with her onscreen bahu avatar. And that was Starplus. So I am happy DD was in Colors channel, where they don't make these kind fo limitation nd banned her from doing something different than her onscreen character. if she is shown like Madhu in JDJ, it would be so boring for us DD fans. Personally I don;t like how her character has become in this so called BW concept story. So again to see her like that in JDJ, please nooo. Though I would have still watched her show for DD, I just cannot tolerate male lead acting. And finally I have to sacrifice DD's show, though I sometimes watch her scenes with her mom and other characters.
Now everyone in the show is trying to be sensual... Is that all that's left of dancing? Coz that would be such a shame.
Anywayz - this is what I think. U can share ur views too.

I must say very well planned post. First make some posts in the forum to get other members good will and portray yourself as a non biased fan who is neutral and suddenly put a bomb. This explains what you have done. Amazing and very clever.👏👏👏👏
