Maybe she is restricting herself from being perfect so that she doesn't receive the flak of being a trained professional dancer and being given advantage which is unfair? Quite a possibility because every dance performance she did in DID with or without a partner was excellent. So it's weird how she and Tushar doesn't have any chemistry together as a couple. Like Max said, they stand apart individually but not as a couple.

Also I found it weird that Remo gave Shakti 10 inspite of her legs being bent in some portions of the Laal Ishq performance knowing how strict he is with legs being always straight during a performance.

^^ solo and partner work or group work are diff,

solo is all about standing out which both shakti and tushar does

partner work is about complementing each other. Punit-Lauren would be a very good example of good partner work, as lauren despite being a good , trained, professional dancer managed to be in sync and create chemistry with punit.

group act is all about being a limb of the group as whole body and dance as one body.

IMO, even bigger fault was the loss of footing after a relatively simple step and limitations on expression.

The song is such that proper expression would forgive any fault. and both Tushar who should have taught and shakti lacked majorly in it.

Anyway, as long as they stay till finals and give us some outstanding acts.

It takes time for everything and I am sure Shakti & Tushar will work on the couple thing and moreover I have seen a clear improvement in their performances too :D

I am glad that you pointed this out.

Looking at the last season I had high hopes from Tushar and Shakti in terms of their performances. However so far they haven't given any performance that will be memorable to me.

The first performance had quite a bit of flaws in my opinion. Shakti's footing was too heavy for the tango and the song just wasn't clicking. The choreography was mediocre give or take a few lifts and tricks.

But they were lacking the chemistry that you need when performing a dance like tango.

The second performance I had hoped to be all classical. Somewhere I thought Tushar's choreography on Ekta passed this choreography. He should've stuck to teaching Shakti a pure Indian dance form and not a fusion of contemporary in it.

I do agree that so far they have kept their choreography pretty safe...but my problem is that even when they perform within their comfort zone they are not producing quality dances. They need to step up their game because I see so many things that Shakti can improve on and it would be nice seeing her learning new things.

I'm all up for experiments as long as they make the effort to attempt it.

We are not practical in asking contestants to come out of their safe zone..Some of members here are trained in classical dances, Do they think contestants without Indian classical dance knowledge will learn Indian classical within 3/5 days(out of 7 days 2 days technical rehearsals, 1 or 2 days for choreography concept thinking), is it practically possible, it's easy for us to say they are playing safe but practically contestants are right in doing so. Not only Indian classical it's practically impossible to learn any new dance form within 3 to 5 days and perform without flaws and match their partners.😛 Coming to partners compatibility issues : I saw some video of Shakti-Salman performance, I found they were much compatible there. As I said the problem is Tushar can't match up fast dance moves with his partners be it Sana or Shakti, if we want compatibility between them then they always have to go either for contemporary or Chaau where Tushar matches or outperforms his partners.😆 Mouni-Puneet: Here also the problem is with Puneet, he is good with his partners when he is in his comfort zone or else his partners outperform him.. He was good with Shibani as she is not much trained like Mouni, Lauren.. I didn't find much compatibility between Lauren-Puneet also, I can easily identify the flaws(Where Lauren outperforming him) when they were performing together. He is also good in slow dances than fast dances. From challengers performances I can very well see the difference between Salman-Lauren, Puneet-Laureen compatibilities. I'm following Jhalak from 5th season, whatever I saw I have found 3 choreographers Shampa, Deepak, Salman(Savio also comes but this year there is some what problem, Those kids from 5th season Avinash-Darsheel how compatible they were even though they were kids) ) are compatible with their dancing partners irrespective of their dancing partners dancing skills ..Rest of the choreographers compatibility depends on partner dancing skills. On lighter note, last season people have problem with judges scoring on couple based as it's celebrity show and they have to give marks on celebrity skills and this year complaining about lack of compatibility between couple, IF is very interesting site.😆 I respect and like choreographers efforts but at the end of the day in Jhalak they score on celebrity skills, so as long as celebrities give best performances I don't have problems, at the same time I enjoy couple dances who have compatibility like in this season Deepak-Sophie.😳 It's my personal view and I respect others views.😛

I haven't seen previous performances of shakti, only those in jhalak. She is a very good dancer.

so far i enjoyed their performances .. but agreed with some of the points pointed by many of you .. I also think Tushar Mauny would be better pair over shakti Tushar. ..

Since shakti is an experienced dancer she might be playing a vital role in choreography ... IF Tushar do the choreography alone I think we can see some thing more than what we are seeing so far .. This is just what i feel when i see their performances ...

Well one more thing they have delivered just 3 performances .. so i would like to give them a chance before jumping in to any conclusion ... after all both of they are absolutely fine dancers ...

comparing amar and shakti to tushar and shakti is bit duh ... because what we see in TV shows which are edited and with several retakes ..and they are working together from DID times .. Tushar is a way better dancer compared to amar in my opinion ..

Not only TV shows but Amar n Shakti danced many times in Dance India Dance which is a reality show.

Tushar n Amar cant be compared :) becoz they have their own capabilities.

Yes and also the fact that they share a personal relationship while Tushar and Shakti are still getting introduced to one another. Comparing those two as couples and as individuals is quite unfair
