Exactly ... And its better to give them sometime... But they had to work hard as they have only limited time as this show will end in few months :) But even at the end of the show comparing those two couples chemistry is still unfair 😃 ...

Since shakti is an experienced dancer she might be playing a vital role in choreography ... IF Tushar do the choreography alone I think we can see some thing more than what we are seeing so far .. This is just what i feel when i see their performances ...

Well one more thing they have delivered just 3 performances .. so i would like to give them a chance before jumping in to any conclusion ... after all both of they are absolutely fine dancers ...

shakti is not choreogaphing their performances...in their 1st iv itself they said..that she comes directly from shoot nd tushar keeps evrything ready for her to take...they rehearse nd she goes back to shoot...its completely tushar's call...

Choreographing or not, contestants, especially the trained ones, always exert a great deal of influence on choreographers, good or bad, that much is an established fact by now. Just like Lauren influenced Punit's choreography last year.
Also people are saying this because last year there were articles about Mukti's choreographer and tShakti's intervention in his choreography which did not allow him to experiment, so people may have this doubt. In my opinion, she may not be choreographing, but she has a major influence on the choreography which is sorta disrupting their act a little.
No big deal. They just need to fit into each other's vision, hopefully soon.

Maybe she is restricting herself from being perfect so that she doesn't receive the flak of being a trained professional dancer and being given advantage which is unfair? Quite a possibility because every dance performance she did in DID with or without a partner was excellent. So it's weird how she and Tushar doesn't have any chemistry together as a couple. Like Max said, they stand apart individually but not as a couple.

Also I found it weird that Remo gave Shakti 10 inspite of her legs being bent in some portions of the Laal Ishq performance knowing how strict he is with legs being always straight during a performance.

Haha SB I doubt she's doing it on purpose..she's already gotten the flak, most people have seen her on DID. Not being perfect is fine, not everyone performance is..but it needs to be pointed out and on Jhalak, the faults are NEVER pointed out for the "trained' dancers. They are just "perfect" from the get go. They are on the other hand much harsher on untrained dancers for whatever reason, when in reality it should be the other way around. Shakti doesn't even have a voting problem like Lauren so I don't understand why they would be extra nice.

Woh toh I'm glad Tushar doesn't seem the type to let the 40's get to him and think everything is hunky dory.

I wanted to reply a few days back but forgot...totally agree with this, Himani.

What I'm seeing so far is a lack of flow in the choreography...it all feels very MECHANICAL rather than SOULFUL...and there is no point to dance unless you are dancing from your soul...and Shakti is definitely capable of it from what we saw of her on DID...but now I wonder if a lot of it was Terence magic too...he worked very hard on making her a PERFORMER who could EMOTE onstage along with dancing...

These days I find her lacking in the emoting aspect when I watch her performances...like the most recent one on laal ishq...very very mechanical act on a song that is SO soulful...I couldn't connect to it.

Well in that case I guess it was a good influence...Lauren is much more trained and accomplished as a dancer than Shakti...the level of versatility and energy that Lauren has is just mindblowing...give her pretty much any style and she NAILS it...so if she was the one influencing Punit, it was a damn good influence and they worked out a good rhythm.

In Shakti-Tushar's case, I just don't see that kind of tuning...they aren't connecting on a soulful level needed for their acts...they seem more hung up on the technicalities of each act rather than capturing the soul of it.

Shakti is very good but I feel like she's stopped GROWING as a dancer...when she came on DID, we never had seen a dancer like her on an Indian reality show before...now the expectations have grown over time and I'd like to see some growth in her as a dancer...even if she does the same thing over and over again, do it with that level of conviction and soul...I find that missing right now and I'm disappointed cuz I've liked Shakti since her DID days.

I just watched the Laal Ishq performance. The thing with Tushar-Shakti is that Tushar is a Chhau dancer while Shakti has contemporary training (which is equivalent to being flexible in our country. If you can split in the air, BAM you're a contemporary dancer ) and the resultant combination is that they're stuck in a congruent neighborhood of dance forms. Neither has the expertise to try something like, say, latin, hip hop or even bollywood for that matter.
I think the organizers need to go educate themselves about dance before they embark on a dance reality show venture. Shakti-Tushar pairing spells disaster from whichever way you look at it. She should have been paired with someone who has a different area of expertise, so that the choreographies could be a refreshing mixture of both.

Now all we will get to see are different permutations of the same mish mash of chhau and contemporary (or so they like to believe) to the point that the viewers will either begin to epitomize them as descendants of Natraj or pull their hair out in frustration. The judges will continue to shower 40s along the way because there is obviously no fault in their dancing. -_-

I can't figure out what is not working...but I miss this.

Interesting how in the beginning she says she's struggling with the expressions and emoting being in love with Amar. Terence magic is toh always there...for a lot of them...weirdly enough season 2 more than season 1,,,but that's another topic. 😆 She definitely has it in her; I just hope it comes out sooner than later. I'd hate to see her be another Isha 🥱 It's just so weird to see Shakti be MECHANICAL.
