Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7: Maksim Chmerkovskiy's debut gets delayed!

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7: Maksim Chmerkovskiy's debut gets delayed!

The viewers will have to wait a little longer to see the new hot element in the dance reality show this season

Yes we are talking about the new addition to the judges' panel - Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The Ukranian choreographer, who won the trophy for Dancing with the Stars Season 18, is all set to join Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Remo D'Souza and Karan Johar to judge the 13 contestants.

However, a source from the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 told us that Maksim is not yet in India. During the press conference Raj Nayak - CEO, Colors said that Maksim could not make it due to some visa troubles. Our source further informed that the international choreographer will not be able to judge the contestants in the first week. He will make an entry in the third episode of Jhalak.

Besides visa issues, it seems Maksim is also busy trying to finish all his international commitments in order to take up Jhalak. Once he is done with his work there, the choreographer will fly to India and dedicate all his time to JDJ 7. Now isn't that disappointing?

Well we are waiting with bated breath and hope Maksim doesn't take too long to get here. Right,

hmm - he might actually be pretty strict - which can be a good thing or bad, lol. I mean, our three judges were saying they were going to be pretty strict this year, but they handed out so many 10s and 9s in the first episode! But, having said that - ppl might not connect with this judge - who knows, will be interesting to watch. And Karan Tacker getting an international choreographer - might be a blessing or a nightmare.

Honestly I don't know how I feel about an international judge. I'm not too aware about him. But if the contestants do a classical or Indian act, it'll be hard for him to understand the technicalities these particular fortes have. Hmm...Only time will tell how good of a judge he is.

If we can have someone as inexperienced and unknowledgeable like Madhuri and Kjo on-board, and have them give their "judgements" on ballroom, contemporary or hip hop- then I think people will be okay with an international judge making comments on Indian dance forms. At least hes trained and has the knowledge.
Bollywood dancing is a rage in the USA, almost every major dancing school has Bollywood classes. And I am talking about non-Indian dance schools. Most REAL dancers have knowledge about many forms. Most of had exposure to MANY dance forms. If anything this international judge will be the most knowledgeable and give proper marks.

Alright hold up. You always want to attack my posts, or at least it seemed that way for sure. Madhuri and Karan are not in-experienced. Biased, yes most certainly, but inexperienced definitely not. They are not as knowledgeable in certain dance forms, but Remo doesn't know each and every dance form well either. While Madhuri is best at judging Indian/classical, Remo is best at hip-hop. Ask Remo to judge a semi-classical or pure classical dance form, he's not as good. So don't even say inexperienced. Secondly, about this international choreographer I didn't say he'll suck. I just gave my insight. I may be wrong...he may be amazing. And again what the hell do you mean by "most REAL dancers?" Was that a direct insult at me or were you talking in general?

Im really excited for Maks to join jhalak as a guest judge, he is a awesome dancer and good judge. I feel it will be different for him to be in jhalak but why not give it a try, it will be something new and different.

As usual you missed the main point of my post. What I said was Karan and Madhuri are in NO WAY experienced in western dance forms. They may know about classical and those tapori type dances, but they are NOT experts on Western forms. If you think they are then I don't know what to say to you.
Remo's forte may not be those classical dances, but he does have a considerable amount of knowledge about it.
Besides, classical Indian dancing doesn't matter here. How often do you even see those kinds of performances maybe 2-3 times the whole season, whereas they do western forms EVERY week. Therefore an international judge would be more apt.
