Sandhya over-confident - Page 2

why am i being misunderstood here???? i said there is nothing wrong in being confident....i have nothing against that...my point is that sandhya has got the concept of confidence all wrong !!!

i so respect confident and respectable people like urmila matondkar, or shabana azmi or konkona sen or sudha chandran(who isnt a sweet bahu but is a dirty vamp in some tele soap)...lara dutta, sushmita sen or simi garewal(yo name a few)...these are all confident woman who are very good in whatever they do yet they do not make it a point to blow their own trumpet whenever given a chance...like on reality shows or on koffee with karan or rendevous with simi garewal etc...their attitude is sooo likeable unlike sandhya's (i didnt wish to give examples but am only giving them as u have assumed on your own that i am againt women who are confident and talented...)also pls note i am not a fan of any of the ekta shows...

sandhya is so full of herself...and i have noticed this problem with her even on her interviews before jhalak...like the one with archana puransingh.

I agree with you.Lets face it ppl, being confident and overconfident is different. When one thinks that they are better than others, that is being over-confident and when they think they are the good, that is confidence.

Sandhya in one way or other tries to prove that she is the best and others are not up to her. There is nothing wrong is saying that she does not want to change herself for votes but the way she said obviously shows her attitude and her overconfidence.

People in India or outside India always like Women who are confident but never women who are over-confident. Shabanaji is appreciated by everyone because she is Confident yet dignified in the way she talks and portrays herself. That is what you need. Confident and dignified persona. Not overconfidence. Over confidence will never be appreciated and there is no point is calling overconfidence as confidence and then crying that confident women are not appreciated.

About Prachi, her innocent and bubbly nature is liked by many, disliked by some. Her Bani image really does not give her fans as Bani's character has been really butchered and many dont appreciate Bani's character. It is Jai Walia that is more appreciated in Kasamh se. So, dont make a big deal about Bani winning the show. If ppl like Prachi it is because of her, her personality and her hardwork and the way she portrays herself.

Sandhya is technically a good dancer but her performance are not really entertaining. Her expressions are really not good which makes the whole performance a bit thanda. Compare it to Prachi or Jay's performance, they make their performances entertaining. Remember ppl, this is not a talent hunt show. This is an entertainment show.

I don't think the discussion should be about confidence v/s non-confidence - all the particpants are achievers in their fields and confident men and women.

The tussle is between *irritatingness* and pleasant manners.

Even I feel the same for Sandhya..She is technically the best dancer in the show now 👏 and no doubt about it 😃 but if u see her overall performance then its not as attractive as Prachi or Jay's performance 😛 because Sandhya lacks in the facial expression department very badly and a good dancer has to hv everything perfect going for her from dancing to even her facial expressions which is also a part of dancing 😊 ..

If u see Dancers like Madhuri Dixit or Sudha Chandran then u can see that along with their body ,their face also shows all the correct emotions along with the song,and thats what u call perfect dancing 😃

Also Sandhya's arrogence can go against her in the voting department because its not a reality talent hunt show but a reality Celebrity dance cum game show 😉 wherein not just dance but everything from your overall behaviour and personality to interaction with other contestents and judges to overall Popularity among the junta,everything counts 😃 and unfortunately Sandhya lacks in all these Departments ..

In fact even though Sandhya right now is the best dancer in the show but as a common public I prefer to watch Prachi or Jay's dance not because I m their fan(I don't even watch their serials 😃 )but I prefer watching them because I like the way they conduct themselves on the stage without blowing their own trumpet 😃 ...Public does like to watch Simplicity and the reason why Mona won last year 😃

And to b very frank its not a talent show because whether u win it or not,all celebrities hv already made their mark in their respective fields 😃 ..So its not a question of searching a dancing talent because Boogie Woogie is already there for it 😃 ..JDJ is all about a Competition among famous celebs and who can stand at the top in the midst of so many pathholes 😉 😃

im a huge fan of sandhya since da day i saw one of her ekta's soap which aired like 6yrs back..in jhlak also i used support her most nd wanted her to win..bt i do feel dt she lacks interacting wit da audience unlike prachi nd jay...nd her expression is weired wen she performns which reminds me kashmira shah frm nachbaliye..both r technically good dancers..but thr expression spoils da real enjoyment of thr performance..evry time dey look way aggressive wen they perform...but jay nd prachi they both enjoy wat ever they do & which makes thr performance more appealing & brings audience in thr feet..👏

im not a fan of jay or prachi as i dont watch thr serial.. bt in jhlak thr performance made me to like dem...still i like sandhya nd hope she wont gets out soon😊

What are your parameters of 'right type of confidence ?', this is the first time I have heard something like a right concept of Confidence. Either you are not confident, confident or over confident, there certainly is nothing about confidence which is concept oriented. So lets get that straight and agree that you are questioning her confidence.

I do not see anything wrong with her confidence. She has a mind and speaks it loud and clear and those who have a problem with that should stay away and not listen to her. There is no doubt that she dances better than all of them, even the people who are esteemed judges have given her the best dancer tag and the points to show. The same was the case with Shweta salve.

Just to please people they cant start dancing badly and then act dumb and beg for votes, can they ? As far as the faces go, well I agree to her expression not being correct but that again does not link it to confidence. Here the topic is about her confidence and all people can do here is not get over her facial expressions while dancing !

People here are pointing out names like Shabana azmi, konkana sen, sushmita (oh puhleeez !!!) Sen as being confidence. I dont know what 'right kind of confidence' do they posses. Sushmita is such an attention seeker and keeps self praising in all her interviews (she did not let sanjay dutt speak a word when they were on koffee with Karan). Just throwing some off beat names does not make them right confident and sandhya as wrong confident.

When Hrithik says in Stardust that quote 'he has the best male body in India' or when SRK proclaims 'I am the Best' without an iota of modesty, its taken well and they are labeled as role models or Cool Dudes. BUt in a Dance contest the most consistent scorer (as per judges) even dares to think that she dances better than others and she immediately becomes arrogant and 'wrongly confident'. What a pseudo & hypocritical world we are living in.

Helloooo, what is the need to move onto me personally????? You have no right to make comments on me! I was simply answering the topic question - it seems that you have no confidence, since you can only right two lines and try and insult someone in teh form of a debate!

I was making an observation - I also said that I don't dislike confident women. There is a difference between confidence and over-confidence, and Sandhya is over-confident. It is not a nice trait, whether it is in a man or a woman.

She is over confident, full of her self and thinks she is the best out of the all even tho IMO she is so repetitive and needs to try something different. She's got her attitude wrong from day 1 esp during the days when prachi came back as a wild card. She needs to keep her mouth shut if she wants to win and strt doing something we havent SEEN.

👏👏👏 Agree with u 110% Everytime i see Sandhyas perforamance i always feel as though i watched it last week...😕 The waltz was the only different one i saw...😕 Yup her attitude has been bad from day 1 and hence the reason i dont really like her...

I think tht she is over confident and it gets very annnoying....There is a big difference between over confidence and just being confident and Sandhya has crossed the limit in just being confident....😕

Anyways i dont get why people compare her with Shweta and Prachi with Mona cos Prachi is much much better than Mona😕😕 No offence to Fans...😳

Honestly, we should stop passing character statements about contestants. How do you know she crossed the limit in being confident? I find Prachi irritating. Should I go ahead and make a separate post stating why I find her irritating? I know there is no point doing it and I don't want to hurt her fans. This is a dance show, and we should concentrate on that. BTW, I think Mona last year was far better than Prachi this year. Mona has that "X factor" in her, which is lacking in Prachi. "No offence to fans." This is my POV.
