Hey everyone! Okay, so I was browsing through YouTube for last night's episode and stumbled upon something very strange for everyone watching Jhalak on Sony India. Of the parts uploaded on YT, two major chunks were edited out in the actual TV telecast I had watched, and since one of them relates very majorly to what is to come next week, I just thought I'd share it with those in India who only watched last night's telecast on TV. 😊

The first thing they unceremoniously edited out was the first part of the choreographer perfomances Madhuri requested, skipping straightaway to when the judges were brought on stage to join them. Before that, each of the choreographers did a solo portion on stage, which we really ought to have been shown since it was such fun...This was still understandable in some ways, but why in heaven's name they edited out the second bit I'm about to mention, is completely beyond me. 😕
At the end of the episode, after the Performance Of The Day had been announced, Sumeet and Mona asked the judges what they wanted the contestants to do next week. The judges said that this time they're going to put their hands up and lay off, and instead of them the contestants themselves will throw challenges at each other. Each contestant was then asked who they wanted to challenge, and with what. The final list of challenges for next week, then, has turned out as follows:
Mahi and Savio : Floor Contemporary, challenged by Yana and Salman.
Yana and Salman : Indian Classical, challenged by Ankita and Nishant.
Ankita and Nishant : Charlie Chaplin Style, challenged by Mahi and Savio.
Chang and Marischa : Robotic Popping and Locking, challenged by Sushant and Shampa.
Sushant and Shampa : Lindy-Hop without any concept, challenged by Chang and Marischa.
Looks like it's going to be an interesting week. Wonder what the second day theme will be, too...
Cheers! 😃

Oh GOd...........

Very nice............Hope next week wil have something to watch for.............
Thx a lot for sharing dear........
Looks like everybody will have a tough time.............😃

Oh what an excellent round!!! I really wanted something of this sort.... fabulous!!!!

I think Salman Yana and Sushant Shampa have got the toughest challenges. I remember Lindy-hop, Savio- Hard Kaur did it in JDJ 3. It is a very energetic, fun filled dance.

Chang-Marischa and Ankita-Nishant have chosen the challenges very cleverly. Brainy people!!! Everyone knows Sushant Shampa's strength lies in their concepts- so they have been told to dance without concept. And Yana might never have done classical dancing ever, and expressions are also important in classical dancing, so Ankita Nishant have given a good challenge too.

In any case, I'm glad that the challenge is about forms this time and not about themes. Looking forward to a lot of interesting dances in the next episode.

Thanks for the link Minks. (wow link and minks rhymes...😆

Same here Niki.... I love this round....
Can't wait to see Sushant do a lindy -hop..... though it should help that Shampa is petite and light, as from lil I know... Lindy Hop has lots of lifts and spins...

Also, would be fun to see a Charlie-Chaplin act ... I am sure that Ankita would excel in the comedy bit, just hope that Nishant gets the choreography right...............

Chang ki to lag gayi..... I am sure that Shampa has set the dance style for them, as I doubt that Sushant would have ever heard of the style... Poor Chang would have a tough time for sure......

Yana may surprise us, as she has been since the start of JDJ... Yana -Salman have given some great performances... hence I am looking fwd to their act..

Mahi --- if she is not eliminated next week, as she has the lowest score.... well, no lifts shall be fun to see......

Yes Lindy hop has lots of lifts and requires a lot of energy, good thing here is that Sushant doesn't really get tired in the mid of his performances. Madhuri remarked on it once.

Charlie Chaplin would be a very cute act I think.

Chang ki to lag gayi..???? Why?? Is robotic popping and locking a very difficult dance form????

I'm also looking forward to Yana's performance. She has grace and if she puts her heart into it, she can do the classical well. I badly wanted to see a classical act in JDJ. But I hope she doesn't do Kathak, cos one Kathak has already been done on the show. It would be really nice if she does something other than that.

Okay, so now I understood that floor contemporary means no lifts.... hehehe... thanks for telling...gosh... good one for Savio and Mahi!!!

@ Bold : Absolutely like this one..........Now,its really a challenge for Mahi.........Now,if she performs well.........Then definitely she will prove something is there in her that deserve her to be in the show..........Just not coz of votes............
I am seriously looking forward for Salyana's & Mahi's & Ankita's performances.............
These three sounds really really interesting for me than other two..........😃

k, just saw the video ...
Remo had an expression of "smart thinking guys" when anki chose classical for yana , and when chang said "no concept , no story " for sushant ..

And Sushant and chang pursed their lips , whereas marishca and shampa went "ouch" when they heard about the challenges given to them ...😆
Actually SuMpa were fine when chang said lindy hop .. but when he said "no concept , no story" .. omg .. it bugged them all right ..😆 ...

Sushant and chang seemed to have become really good friends ...
and they took real pleasure in setting these challenges for each other 😈🤣

@ Niki....... I don't know the technical interpretation of the dance forms... I am just going by my understanding of these dances... I could be wrong.... 😕 as in Mahi's floor contemporary might mean something else completely...

Chang's dance form... I have seen little of it and so far I have not seen Chang do a karak - form of dance so far... I just have this feeling that this one would be tough for him......its completely different from what he has done so far........

I am quite miffed with Sony now... why did they have to cut out these segments from the episode..?? 😡 I loved watching all the choreos dance..... Shampa was superb as usual !!!!!
