^^^ or maybe he really wanted to give a tribute to his mum ... and when he heard the theme for next week , maybe this is the first and only relationship that came to his mind ..
Actually I am thankful to the channel for not exploiting it .. yes IMO they didnt expoit it .. they could have by making the host question ankita about sushant's loss , how she feels etc ... but I am glad they just left it at that , sumit directly went to the judges for the scores ...

I felt as if they knew they were gonna get some sympathy points by doing this. And if it hurt Sushant so much, then he should've just chosen another concept. But no! he went ahead with this. this shows that either they were hoping to get sympathy from the judges for his story or to impress the judges by doing something that hurt him to show them how strong he is. either way, i feel as if they knew it was gonna have an effect on the judges and it will be an advantage.

i don't think they wanted to get sympathy points... they don't need it... i believe sushant was actually very emotional...

Completely agree.....Honestly I've seen ppl exploit emotions in many other dance shows based on their history.....Sushant comes across as a guy who loves to express his emotions, his thoughts through dance....like artists express themselves through their art.....it's not like he runs around talking about losing his mother to gain some sort of "sympathy vote" all the time....I found it to be a very genuine EXPRESSION of soul, of emotions....like everything he ever wanted to say to his mother was pulled out from within him.....

Ofcourse everyone has their own interpretations and it's fine if ppl want to judge him based on his dancing technique....but it's rather sick I feel to cheapen his feelings over the loss of his mother by claiming that he "exploited" those for this performance. Let's atleast respect the fact that this person lost his mother.....no matter how cynical and skeptical ppl want to be, let's atleast give him that much respect....not too much to ask for.

as i said, it was either sympathy they wanted or they wanted to impress the judges, not by dance but on an emotional level. no one said he wasn't emotional. my point was exactly that. He WAS emotional and i felt he used this to his advantage. but regardless, i also did not feel as if it was out of this world, and certainly not a 30 type performance. sushant is a great dancer. i never denied this. but last time, it wasn't as great.

nureat, i couldnt have said it better. i am posting this comment in support of your statement.
also, sushant who is capable of getting 30's before this perf., had NO need to use this emotion and "exploit' it to get votes. i am sorry, he has already proved what an amazing performer he is.

again, i liked how sumeet didnt ask, any questions to sushant related to his mom passing away or how close he was to his family and all.
another thing after his performance, the guy couldnt get the strength to ASK for votes. which according to Rapier was his intention all along.
so in that span of time and at that moment, he was REALLY emotional.

mona mentioned that sushant personally chose this theme as a tribute to show his mom how far he has come along. its okay to critise the dance in itself. but i would ask the forum members to leave it at that. to take the discussion to a personal level, and cheapen the emotions by questioning it is unfair. please remember, this person has lost his mother,
tommorow if a student did a debate or a gave a speech about the wonders of his mom who passed away, will anyone question it " did he give the speech to gain brownie points?".
if so, what has the world come to, and what have we become?

i think you are being little rude to him.... i don't find a reason why he needs to do all those things.. he is an excellent dancer.. best in this season and judges are already impressed with him he does not have to do emotional atyachaar on judges to impress them all he needs to do is dance well which he does...

i m not a sushant fan i m saying this as a neutral viewer

Mother is someone very very special , no one would use their mother this way to gain points ...
I too lost my mother 4 years ago , Sushant's performance bought tears in my eyes ...
It is a loss that can be felt by those who have gone through it ...would never wish it on my worst enemy ..
That boy was not exploiting his grief at all , he was giving tribute to his mother and that is a very very natural thing ..When someone as close as your mother leaves you , you always wan tto hold on to her in whatever way you can and that is what he was doing .I find it very nice the way he always gives tribute to his mother in his own way ..

Madhuri and Malaika don't seem to have knowledge abt all the dance forms..they are just ok...maliaka has been roped in to show her cleavage and Madhuri is there coz she is a big celebrity..sony brought them just for TRP...remo has dance knowledge but there shd be more knowledgable judges, like Vaibhavi or Terrance.
