And that is precisely the mistake! 😆
The numbers provided by lata55 are assuming that he was the TOP... not just top 3!
Put him down to number 3 (because he was NOT number 1), and the total becomes 7 (and Karan Bhai's becomes 10 😃 )
And if you go with the rest of the assumptions made by the topic starter, a score of 7 is low enough to get a contestant in the dance off 😛
This point is being made over and over again... and so I'm putting it in bold writing to hopefully avoid more needless debating about this point -
The initial post CLEARLY assumes that Mr Ram Kapoor is number 1 in the votes - it doesn't suggest top 3, it CLEARLY shows number 1!!!
It DOES NOT matter if it has not been explicitely written that he got the highest votes... but if you give him a voting score of 8 (the HIGHEST voting score), then it DOES conclusively show that you are assuming that he was number 1!!!
And so there really is no room at all for misinterpretation!
Top 3 is fine, no one would argue with - but number 1, sorry, but it's highly unlikely!
The judges scores are a big factor, and so if the scores are low enough, then it can almost guarentee a place in the danger zone... and that's probably what happened with Mr Ram Kapoor also!
God bless.

^^^ You seem hell bent on stating the fact that Ram was not #1 in votes. As far as I know neither of the hosts mentioned who was #1 so how can you be so sure. The topic starter made an assumption given that the hosts said Ram got more than Parul and Baichung, and so that leave Ram and Karan for the top spot. Since Karan has been getting #1 votes an assumption can be made that he retained it, on the flip since Ram who was ties with Parul the last time and was beaten by Baichung in votes, got more than both, so an assumption can be made that he might have gotten more than Karan. Since Karan got 3 points more from judges it cannot be conclusively said that he got more votes than Ram unless it was specifically mentioned by the hosts, which it was not. I personally think that Karan probably got more votes than Ram given the voting patterns, but I don't think unless mentioned by the hosts specifically you can say 100% for sure that Karan ws #1.

The topic starter made an assumption, which has chances of being true as we were not told for sure who go the most, so I don't see the point of endlessly going on about it. She felt that votes don't count and made an srgument.

Can you say with 100% certainity that Ram Kapoor did not get the most votes? Did the hosts mention that fact? Did I miss something? Did they say Karan got the most votes?

Meghna,
The hosts definately did not say who got the highest votes. They just said that Ram got higher votes than Parul and something to the effect that Baichung got lesser votes this time. They never at any point said who got the highest votes.

M3ghna,
I'm hellbent on only one thing in this topic - to clear out the misconception that I made a misconception!
I applaud you for honestly stating the obvious - that the topic starter did indeed make Mr Ram Kapoor out to be the one that got highest votes... but the others that have replied to me have made out that I've (somehow) made some kinda error in my interpretaion of the obvious!
I'm not here to kick up some kinda fight, because that would just be silly!
Anyways, whether the guy was number one or not, we probably won't know... but yeah, I do agree that it is more likely that Karan Bhai retained the top spot in voting - I mean, maybe even he had an increase in votes also. We cannot tell for sure.
The topic starter's calculations upon which she bases the theory of Mr Ram Kapoor being clearly safe relies heavily on the assumption of him getting the highest votes... but anything less than that makes the whole thing far less questionable - if even questionable at all!
The extremely low score from the judges is what I personally believe was the biggest factor in the guy being danger zoned.
God bless.

Ram's elimination is certainly a fooling of his supporters.. there is no doubt about it.. i am not against ram, as i really enjoyed him in the sets..

Thanx for clarifying.....I am neither a fan nor a hater of Ram. I loved when he was there and i still enjoy when he is not there. But still do not think the channels are fooling supporters. I do not understand why on earth would the channels remove the contestants who are getting them higher votes. They dont care about talent....they only care about votes. Now because the format was of 50-50 they had to remove him. no fooling involved.
the voting system is introduced ONLY so that the channels make money.......keeping your favourite in or out is not their priority. That is the reason i said "if you do not want to vote for your favourite contestants then it is perfectly OK. Why waste money?"
