Should Roger Federer only play against top seed players?Should Tendulkar not play against other lesser talented palyers?
Should only good at par teams and at par individuals compete with one another
No, only 'at par' teams and individuals should not compete with each other. But I don't think your examples are valid because one needs a certain amount of proficiency in tennis or cricket to participate in tournaments. Yes, Roger Federer can definitely play with a No 100 seed, but he shouldn't compete with someone who has never (or rarely) played tennis before or doesn't have the skill-set to play tennis. Would it be fair for him to play against Sachi Tendulkar in the Wimbledon? NO! Because Sachin cannot play tennis!

With this in mind, I do believe it is wrong to have someone who dances for a living, aka Isha Shervani, in the same show as someone who has never danced before, aka Bharti or maybe even Shibani, or someone who really cannot dance, aka Talat Aziz or Jayasuriya.

I thought JDJ was conceptualized as a competition for non-dancers to showcase and, more importantly, improve their skill set. This show was not meant for a fantastic dancer to gain publicity. I love Isha. She is the best, and has the highest chances of winning, but it is totally unfair for the other amateurs to compete with a professional dancer. She should either be a choreographer on this show or Colors should start another competition to judge ONLY good dancers, in which she can certainly participate. :)

The one person who has truly impressed me is Bharti. She is vivacious, flexible and extremely entertaining. Her best quality, however, is her ability to laugh at herself. Great work, dear. You may not win, but you have left a lasting impact on JDJ's viewers.
