@tannipartner: Thanks for agreeing with me on the arduous process of getting back into form. It sucks, doesn't it? Anyway. I guess my point is, that Isha does absolutely deserve all the hype because she is technically flawless, and the stuff she presents on stage is above and beyond what many have seen on such a platform. However, my one issue remains that she completely skews the competition and makes judging very difficult, even for judges who seem to pull scores out of nowhere. Point is, while Jayati might be better than say Darsheel one week, and worse the next, Isha will always be the best. If she doesn't win, the whole competition will look rigged, but then she might not get the maximum votes, so in the end the PH are discrediting their own product when it becomes clear that people are only voting for their favourites. Where is the competition when it is so unquestionably obvious she is the best dancer?
@NoComments: I have an issue with the PH for choosing a contestant like this, and I think it comes from their complete ignorance of real dance and real dancers in India (if you are interested you can read my complete angry rant on page 8 😆). I have a feeling they thought Isha was a small time actress, who happened to be a trained dancer, and did not fathom the depth and breadth of her existing work. The thing with Isha, is that I think she is the only contestant for whom things do not even out more or less, where the rest of the contestants do with their advantages and disadvantages. Because she is such a better dancer, she still comes out a head and shoulder above the rest, which is why I remain confused, on an ethical front, as to her role in the competition. Of course it is too late to do anything about this now...what is done is done so we might as well sit back and enjoy the quality dancing! 😃
