Overhype of salman and ISha! [DT note Pg. 16] - Page 19

I am a big fan of Isha and Salman and yes their performance last week was superb. Now comming to discussion, I would say a lot of credit would go for Salman as well to envision and constitute such choreograpy where he could use full potential of Isha. It is not always easy to use the full potential of an immensly talanted dancer until a choreographer can think it that way. The team is looking so great not just because Isha is a professional dancer but how Slaman is using her. This week it would be interesting to see how Salman user Karan and Isha to bring out another gem of a performance.

I Think Isha deserves all the hype she has been getting.

No, to be honest, a week is not enough to get back into form. Take my example. I stopped dancing for a year, and my teacher did not let me get on stage until I had practiced consistently for 6 months. Strength, stamina, flexibility take years to build and mere weeks to start losing so in that Isha has a clear advantage. Anyway, what I was trying to say about the other contestants is that they are more or less matched over all in their respective advantages and disadvantages. Where one lacks one has an upper hand. On the other hand, Isha has no disadvantages when judged on the scale of the other contestants if we are talking in purely dance terms.

I don't know how else to explain that "trained dancer" is not a blanket term. Isha's training is miles and leagues ahead of any of the other contestants and that is a fact, not an opinion. It is not about her being allowed to participate in competitions, nor is her participation breaking any rules. I am just not able to see what her role in the competition, considering she is not competing with the rest of the contestants. To me it is like comparing apples and an orange, when we talk about Isha and compare her with the other contestants.

I am not "blaming" her for being talented and hardworking as you seem to imply, only saying that the level of her work places her far above and beyond any of the other contestants. There is nobody to match her on the show, and with good reason. Nobody else is a professional dancer, who comes from a life entirely dedicated to dance. If she wants to compete, she should be competing with her equals, because really, where is the honour in beating people so thoroughly behind you?

Like I said before, I blame the PHs complete ignorance of her important work in the dance field for this. I wish they had made her a judge instead and had her do the "step of the day." It would have given the show some real credibility and been a correct appraisal of Isha's talent and position as a dancer.

yeaaah, sorry it was my mistake... i was a fan of isha since the beginning.. i even mentionned it many many times...

Please Bring Provu Deba and Shamak Davar here as a contestant as I want to see a real competition here. If it is a competition between celebrity then why does there is only one real dancers Isha? Bring some more real dancers like Provu, Shamak or even they can bring Shakti mahan.

hats off to salman and isha ,they r the best ,its unfair to say why they r in show,love their all performances.if its unfair for them in show then what abt guru who spread fake rumaours to attract votes and his popularity highest amg all otheres then that too unfair for other contestents.

I am Isha-Salman fan, but after reading her profile on wiki, I should also say she should not be in this show. She is a professional dancer. Show is for Dancing with Stars, not Dancing with Dancers. She should actually come as choreographer. Leaving everything aside, we are enjoying her performance every week. Salman's creativiry is performed brilliantly by her.
