Debate: Mallika’s dislike for Jassi

It was one of the major themes of JJKN that Armaan Suri's fiancee could never stand his secretary. One reason was , of course, that Mallika wanted Pari in that position so she could give her info about Armaan's girlfriends.😉 But at times it does seem that she is getting carried away in her unreasonable dislike. (I'm referring to those episodes when they had still not deviated from BLF) : like when she helps Pari to steal Jassi's report; or when she shouts at Jassi for handling her engagement party arrangements ; or the countless times when she belittles her in the office.

Could a subtle woman's instinct have warned her about the havoc Jassi would soon be wreaking in her life?😕 Was her dislike justified in some ways? Or was it the result of pride and snobbisheness....and the tendency to judge people on the basis of looks?

I don't think Mallika's dislike was justified in any way. I believe the basis of her dislike was based on the fact that Pari didn't get the job while Jassi got it. Also, even Mallika starts finding Jassi is far more smarter than her which in my opinion Mallika was unable to handle. I think it got really hard for Mallika to even think there could be someone more smarter and professional than her who is a loser in terms of looks. Mallika is very selfish character so she could not possibly think of someone like Jassi (whom people found to be really ugly and she isn't too modern either) could get more attention or appreciation than Mallika (who thinks she is all dignified and modern). I believe Mallika only belittles Jassi so that Jassi will never forget what her 'status' is. Furthermore, I don't think Mallika wanted Jassi to ever think she is better than Mallika at anything whether it is regarding work or manners. I really don't think at this point of time there's any instinct kicking in at this point in the serial. So in conclusion, Mallika isn't incesure of Jassi because of havoc she is going to create in Mallika's life but rather because she can't stand anyone being more smarter than her thus gaining more respect than her from all the employees and employers.

Perfectly said and agree completely . Mallika loved Arman like crazy since childhood , they are both professionals and partners in GM wanting good for the company .

One thing one always fails to notice is that Arman appointed Jassi only to make sure that Pari doesnt get the place .........he wouldnt have otherwise , it was only coz he knew why Mallika was pushing so hard for Pari that he made sure that Jassi got the job.

other than that , she was insecure coz Arman always overruled her and supported Jassi whether right or wrong. I mean he was spending more and more time with Jassi than her . Everytime Mallika and Arman get together , Jassi interrupted them ( it happened so many times) .

Any woman wouldnt want her engagement organised by the person whom she dislikes the most . I think thats understandable although what she did was wrong , in a way she was just sooooo upset that the person she disliked organised her engagement moreover Arman again lied and made her believe that it was he who did everything.

Everyone are ignoring the main person who made Mallika what she is , Arman. It cannot be ignored that he played with her just like he played with Jassi . He did love her at some point and then pretended to love her coz her vote was important to become the chairman . He was willing to even infact go ahead with the wedding even when he truely loved Jassi .

I think Mallika's actions partly should be blamed on Arman's betrayal to her love and loyalty to him.

conclusion, she was a wonderful dignified woman whose life was ruined by Arman and her love for Arman.

I think thats one point I dont agree.Shoukd Arman have married mallika and just forgotten jassi and ruined Three lives??I would call Armaan a loser than.

He had to stand to face many bitter truths including one that mallika was not his love...and his relatioship with her cannot continue.He had to hurt her now to save her from being more hurt in life after wards.

Im sure in Blf Marcela too must have moved on Life...and found herself a worthy partner!!😳

but what he did was wrong still. It doesnt justify the games he played with her .Yes it would have been more worse had he gone ahead with the marriage which he was willing to do if not for Mallika's refusal to go ahead with the wedding .

But still it was wrong of him to play games with her, keeping her in the dark abt his feelings for Jassi , trying to pretend that he loved her , lying again and again .

I would still say that Arman was responsible for Mallika's actions and feelings. We cant deny the fact that she lost her soul, body and heart to Arman and he too accepted it when he wanted and then betrayed her behind her back. Why didnt he accept before the whole world that he didnt love her and loved Jassi .
