well lets see.....there are soooo many things my pati's done for me....

well there was this thing...this was when we were engaged....
i think he had just hit on a send-flowers-to-india website .....and when we were engaged...he used to send me a huge boquets of flowers every week ...yes every week..and they didnt come cheap......

as the wedding came close and the traffic of people who came home increased everybody started noticing the number of baskets and empty vases at home and started questioning my parents......

P.S. those cane baskets and vases were later on recycled as decorations during the wedding....heee heee

Okay for me..Mine was an arranged marriage...and our courtship lasted for 8 months..all the moments are so precious and even today when I think of those sweaty palms I used to have when he called..my feet turning cold and having butterflies in my tummy.My hubby was here in US and I was India and the best part was when I got a card each day in our mailbox ( he posted them the way that I can get one each day)..and each card was so beautifully written and love expressed in such a way that I had never dreamt of.

And even now he surprises me with different things like roses, beautiful poems and cute emails.

I feel like a 16 year old when I get one of these.

OK Peaches... here is mine...

It was my 18th birthday.. and he took me to a really romantic place near Pune my home town... He gave me the sweetest gift that I ever got from him till now.. I got my first kiss that day and it lasted for more than a minute...

He also gave me nice dangling earrings and a love letter which got into my mom's hand the other day and I was in big trouble..But that's another story..

I am so lucky that I could marry the guy I fell in love with... those days were just WOW...We have the date for each and every thing😉 we did for the first time...😳

Now, we are happily married for so long....that it feels good to remember those priceless moments we shared when we were teenagers...

Ok.. Back to reality got to take the kids for soccer practice after some time...Mom's Taxi service ... what a life..

Hey, Those earrings and love letter got me into deep trouble the next day... My parents were so mad that they went directly to meet his parents to ask them whether they knew anything about us...thats a long story...

I have saved all our letters in a tin box... Thanks peaches for starting this topic.. I have to read all of them tonight...

My story is a flop love story about one of my crushes whom I still can't forget, eventhough it's been two years since our highschool graduation. Anywayz, this is the story of how my crush was asking me out. To set the scene, we had a magnetic pull towards each other ever since we had met in orchestra class in 10th grade. I was fifteen and he was...sixteen😳😳!!! It was crazy how alike we were that we actually used to dress in the same colors!!! We even had the same kind of style in pants; he had the men's jeans and I had the women's jeans. Everytime I was absent from Orchestra class, he'd be after my friends and ask them why I wasn't there. It was sooooooooo adorable!!! I miss those days!!! After a year and a half, in October, a few days after my birthday( which unfortunately he didn't know about), we were matching our clothes like crazy!!! It was happening almost everyday!!! Anyhoo!!, I was sitting infront of him and he was sitting right behind me, and was flirting with me like there was No Tomorrow!! He came and sat right next to me and was like "Aabha ( sweet sexy voice!!)...can I ask you a question??" I answered "Sure!" I, being the stupid person that I am asked him if he needed any music sheets from me. Then he said "No!" " You ruined my line!!!" I was stunned and feeling hot and tingly all over!!! I was thinking "Oh no!!! What the hell have I done!!! Why did I open my BIG FAT MOUTH??!!!" He was about to ask me out and I just killed it for him!!! I still regret asking him for the music sheets 'til this day!!! I thank you for you time ladies and hopefully you'll learn from my experience and not open your mouth when the guy that you like sounds like he's telling you something important and worthwhile!!! He still doesn't know that I still like him and now I have no way of getting in touch with him!!! Oh well, that's life I guess!!!

Looking at all the posts i tohught i should also post my ... well i am not married yet.... but i have a BF.... here goes my part a little one ....

Once me and my gang of friends had gone trekking.... on pikes peak colorado.... and well i was there with my that time crush..... and we were walking... i am very scared of heights and so after going about half a mile up i was like i am not coming you guys go ahead.... everyone was trying to tell me to kind get up and start walking... i was like no... but then he came and he was like what is this you are like the youngest in the gang and you are saying this???????.... you should be the most energetic... i was telling him that i am energetic but just scared....😊 he was like dont worry we will make sure you come down safely ok... 😳and i was like ok...and we hiked pikes peak... ( actually went only till barr camp as it started snowing) ... this got us a little closer and we actually started thinking that theere can be something between us....😳

i always wanted someone who would kind of make me overcome my fears and he's just like that....😃
