But can you all help me on one thing? esp. those with arranged marraiges?When you had the meeting you said 'yes' because there was nothing to say 'no' or u said 'yes' 'coz u really found out something in that person to trust him completely ? If that's the case then tell me how to recognise the person so fast??😕

I'm asking u 'coz I'm really being difficult for my parents😈 I'm not against arranged marraige but I'm just not comfortable with that tea tray & staring looks & what r your hobbies & what r ur expectations & what's ur education & what's ur ambition & etc. etc.etc.

I mean I understand u have to try to make ur marriage successful & mode of marriage is not important but that's only theoretical knowledge😆actually I'm searching 'love' in 'arranged meetings' which is so difficult so ur experiences please..

After reading Rupal's post.. I have a question...

Is this tray thing still going on, where the questions are asked to the girl.. I have also heard that there are some get togethers/ gatherings were the singles come and talk informally. How is it these days?? Just curious...

And rupal, you must have read I had a love marriage. But when I first met my inlaws it was similar to the meeting that you described. I too was invited to my husbands house and they asked me several questions. They asked me my hobbies, I was doing by Masters that time. So how long I wanted to study. My husband wanted come to US and my parents wanted us to marry before he leaves. They didnt want him to stay in US alone and seriously thought that he would ditch me after going steady for 6 years.

My in-laws didnt like the idea since he was only 24 and was 23 years old. Finally they agreed and we got married before we came here.

I had a love marriage but still the first few years were extremely difficult for me. So I think even if its love or arranged marriage getting adjusted to the new family is the same experience for all of us.

Yeah Jassidevi, tray thing is still going on..of course there are informal ways too ..but the bottomline is trying to find out maximum about that girl in that one meeting....they are not wrong in doing that but there is something very uncomfortable about it..I don't know I really don't understand may be something is wrong with me....😆but you can do anything for the person you love but everything is dificult with a stranger !!

yeah, I understand human being is such a complex thing that even after staying togther for yrs u can be strangers..I mean u can discover the new qualities every day but before that at least there should be some enthusiasm or willingness to undergo all that..so I find it difficult to get it only after one meeting😕

in the early mornings at about 4 am i used to wake up suddenly to see him sitting in front of me and looking at me sleeping!!

i used to say; what are you doing ?? sona nehi hai kya??

he used to say:: shhhhh!!! don't talk!!i am thinking yeh pari kaha se aa gayi mere ghar me, mere jindegi me!!!😳!!!!

when ever he was siting beside me and may be i was doing some works , he would always open my hair . i always tie up my hair , but this was his habit!!i got irritated : what are you doing??

he used to say: you look beautiful in open hair!!i will always do it!!!

if he ever knows that i have told these to you, he will kill me!!!hahahaha!! don't tell him!!!😉!!!
