what surprised me the most tia was he always cared about other people before him. he is an army officer from the core of his soul
agree...his character is definition of true army man.Originally posted by: EshaalYousufzai

The lines are indeed very metaphorical and needs elaborate explanation. However, I am trying to give a more or less literal connotation of the lyrics as below:
Fire geche koto boba tunnel-er gola chire alo
Ichhera chhute chole
Sharata din jure tumi ana gona korecho sei shure
Tar rong lege ache - Abujher pencil
Many of those lights have returned slitting the throats of the dumb tunnels
where the desires still keep running.
The colours from the pencils of the inconsolable are still sticking to the tunes where you keep visiting all throughout the day.

Bhalobasha baki ache tomaro amar kache
Jaa cheyecho dite ami pari na..
Amaro shomoy dale furiye aseche pata
Eto prem kache eshe elo na..
Your love is still remaining with me yet I am unable to give you what you desire
My branch of time has very little leaves
Alas, so much of love came so close, but did not come to me.
Jodi kono din tumi du haat diye jhinuk korao
nei ami... Sei olpo bhanga golpo guloy
kar sathe... Bolo shobdo chhure firbo bari maajh raate
Ami tomar kotha bolbo kake
I will not be there to listen to your tiny broken tales when one day you start picking up oyster-shells with both your hands.
Whom will I throw these words at when I return home at midnight?
Hete gechi ami ayu rekha dhore shara dite eto
Deri hoye gelo bole
Jonmo mirttu venge bhor bela tumi alo hoye foto
Ami jege achi esho
Proti chumbone sthir
It has been late for me to reply because I have been walking through the life-line.
Come to me, I am still with every kiss of yours and I am awake as you overcome the trysts of life and death as you shine your light of dawn
Kokhono nagordola olote palote shobi
Amader chire khelo jonaki
Amaro shomoy dale furiye aseche pata
Eto prem kache eshe elo na..
The fireflies consume the turbulence of the merry-go-round
My branch of time has very little leaves
Alas, so much of love came so close, but did not come to me.
