You're absolutely correct! Out of all the characters in the show, Atharva is my favourite. He has his flaws, but as you've said, that's what makes him human. All he has to do now is work on his flaws henceforth. Even though you say he needs to back off & accept Vividha's refusal which is completely understandable & makes sense, I don't know, I do like the fact that he's encouraging her to think outside of herself & unleash her true self. What I love about his character is that he empowers Vividha, he wants for her to leave behind her naivety & rigidity which I like & start being adventorous & spontaneous once in a while. However, I do feel he needs to also understand Vividha's standpoint, that for now she hasn't seen the other side of her Father, she's still naive in that sense-she only sees the best in people, & Atharva needs to understand her position & that it's difficult her for too.
I'm also against Vividha getting married to his step-brother 🤢 & Atharva's future mental instability. It's saddening, because he's been shown to be a strong character, & that's what I really want to see in the future episodes, for him to build himself a career & achieve his dreams & really show Kalaish what he's made of-determination & a passion to achieve the impossible despite his poor status. I really wanted to see him make something of himself, & because the CV's have already decided on this aspect of the story I hope they show (because I'm not sure how severe his illness will be, whether mild or serious) Atharva overcome that, meaning, I want the CV's to show him conquer his mental instability & find himself in the process to how he was before, that'll really show his strong nature, whether he's able to do that on his own, or with the help of Vividha I don't care, I want to see him come out of it victorious & finally achieve his dreams. It's probably far-fetched, but let's see what they have planned. I just hope they don't ruin his character in the process.

Agree with everything you said. What my problem with Atharv's pursuit of Vividha is that he Is stubborn in his stand of marrying her. I want him to realize that marriage isn't a one sided thing. It takes two people to make it work. The day Vividha herself says that she wants to marry him, is when he can actually take a step forward. For now, he just needs to encourage and push Vividha to think independently, irrespective of his feelings for her and vice-versa. Right now whatever be the reason, Vividha doesn't want to marry him and he needs to respect her choice. His stubbornness to look beyond what he feels is right is one of his character flaws and hopefully along the way, he overcomes this character flaw. It is good that Atharv is assertive and firm, but in needs to take a step back for a while. For his own good.

I'm totally against Atharv going mental , especially for a girl. I'd rather see him building his life and achieving his dream. I don't want Vividha to actually marry his step brother either. Concepts like these have been done to death in movies and other tv shows. What I haven't seen is a story where love is used as an empowerment tool. I hope the creative's stick to that although I don't trust Indian tv show makers at all. So if they try to mess with Atharv's character down the line, I'll be done with the show.

Right now I just hope the love track slows down for a while, it's too overwhelming and too intense for a show that is just a month old. Again that's purely my opinion but for now I want Atharv's feelings for Vividha to take a backseat and him actually trying to fight back against Kailash and prove his worth.

Hi there! I think you've summed up Atharv's character brilliantly. He truly is the driving force in the story and it's a treat to watch him both as the actor and the character. I love how he believes in making his people strong enough to fight for themselves, irrespective of whether he is there or not. What's more commendable is that despite all the hardships he's had to face in his life, he has none of the bitterness you would expect (except for his father which is perfectly understandable) and he remains positive in his approach to life. Nothing and nobody can drag his spirit down. Agreed that his love for Vividha may jeopardize what he has set to achieve and you might question whether it's really worth it but that just goes to show he's passionate about the things and people he loves. No matter what is thrown his way, he keeps faith that he will rise about it all and that's why he doesn't make any concessions whether it's about his dream of a dairy farm or that of marrying Vividha.

I would totally hate it too if he went mentally unstable, it will be too painful to watch not only because of Atharv but for Sujata who has no one else but him. To think that after everything she's gone through, life decides to snatch the one good thing that she's got.

I really wish to see a stronger Vividha emerge from this, I guess that's the point of the show also. We are already seeing a glimpse of that with her constant worrying about Atharv and not being scared to voice it out. Still she's got a long way to go but hoping she fights back for Atharv just like he fought for her and doesn't simply bend in to the norms. That will make just JNDSD like any other show.

GAH this is such a beautifully articulate and well written post! And I agree completely!
Atharv is definitely my fave on the show for so many obvious reasons, but he's also one of the few lead males that I absolutely love.

Going on the flaw you mentioned wherein Atharv doesn't take Vividha's verbal no, as a definite no, I completely agree. I think the problem here is that Atharv has himself completely convinced about Vividha's feelings being mutual. Which seems like it might play a bigger problem in the future hinting at him losing his mental stability. If this carries forward in the chance that Vividha gets married and is forced to break things off, and Atharv doesn't convince himself to be over her, it could be what leads to his downfall? Idk but it's just a theory. He doesn't realize how intense he comes off. He's almost blinded by his own knowledge that he doesn't see the opposing side as a truth, instead he sees it as an inconvenience/falsehood. Like with Vividha's feelings he knows they exist, and so do we, but that's not what is important. What's important is that Vividha is saying no, even if her actions sometimes convey otherwise. But he sees her denial and no, as her lying to herself and therefore him. Which is of course true, but he has to be able to take her word for it and listen to what she's saying, because pushing her will only drive her away.

However Atharv I feel isn't exactly forcing his love on Vividha. I feel he's moreso getting her to see things that she would otherwise be too afraid to even think about. The whole betting on her hand in marriage thing was definitely yucky and so not needed but post that Atharv's pushing of Vividha has been very little about himself, and most definitely centered and geared towards her. When she told him in the last episode that she didn't love him we were pretty close to seeing Atharv walking away or letting her walk away from having said her peace, but AS SOON as Atharv was hurt and on the ground, Vividha's instincts kicked into high gear and she was being impossibly obstinate about Atharv, And he knows that, he sees it, all the time. Anytime she tells him to stay away, and then he goes away, she somehow always shows up again😆. I think he's trying to get her to understand whyshe does that and how that affects both of them, and yes I do think it comes off forceful. But not in the way that he's making him her end all and be all, because many times he's said she needs to be her own person before anything else. But of course that's just my opinion and I hope you get where I'm coming from!

Hey there! I agree with what you're saying and totally get where you're coming from :)

Well, I don't think he is forcing his love on her per se, but he's rather pushing her to think that she is in love with him as well. And yes Atharv probably doesn't realize that he is coming across as VERY intense (which is kind of attractive too lol)
What I want right now is to Atharv to take a step back regarding his feelings for Vividha. Atharv is impulsive and a hot blooded man, what he needs to do is calm down a bit, relax and see how Vividha reacts to her growing feelings.

I think the show is getting a bit too serious and sad these days and needs some light moments between ViTharv , or maybe it's just me 😆 and Vividha needs to stop her papa puraan asap 😆

@bold totally agree!

And I too hope to see a stronger Vividha emerge now. We already got the glimpse of that in today's episode where Vividha runs to stop Atharv and Sujata without caring about boundaries or restrictions. For the first time we see Vividha almost rebellious in her demeanor. Vividha is evolving, slowly but surely.
