Roshni turns to leave but he holds her hand firmly, she tells him that they cannot be together and to forget her as she has moved on in her life.

He refuses to believe that and asks her to look into his eyes and see the love in it for her and then deny that she didn't feel the same. He presses her hands on his chest and asks her to feel his heart beats, his undying love for her. Tears flowed down her cheeks and she closes her eyes. He wipes her tears tenderly and caresses her cheeks. Finally she regains her inner strength and pushes him back, she runs towards her apartment which was two blocks away. He follows her, but she gets inside and locks the door.

He keeps banging on her door for hours but she does not open them. Tired and cold because of being drenched in the rain he sits on the ground crying indefinitely. On the other side of the door, Roshni was too sitting with her back on the door and kept mumbling to leave her alone. She couldn't take it anymore.
Bin tere mera kya hai
Jisko sunu jisko kahun
Bin tere mujh mein kya hai
Jisko jiyun jis mein rahun
Next morning when she is ready to go to school after taking a bath, she opens the door to find him standing there all freshened up. He was looking happy and his eyes were twinkling with eagerness to meet her. He had flowers in his hand and he offered it to her. She ignores him and keeps walking. But he follows her and starts teasing her. He had changed, he had returned back to his old self just in one night because he knew that he would win her back soon.

Bin tere main sehra saa hoon
Bin tere main qatra bhi nahi
As she walks, a kid comes up to her and gives her a red rose. She takes it immediately; Siddharth makes a face as she did not accept his flowers. After a few minutes another kid walks up to her and gives her another rose which she takes it again but with suspicion. When another kid walks up to her, he hands her a teddy bear with a "I love you" written on it. She understands it that all this was Siddharth's plan. She throws the flowers and the teddy bear on his face and keeps walking, he pouts.

Roshni turns to look whether Siddharth was still following her or not, but doesn't find her anywhere. She gets sad that he left her alone. At night while walking back home she hears him shout "Roshni!! If you are not mine, then I don't want to live in this world" She looks up and sees he is standing on the roof, ready to jump off. She gets scared, and runs upstairs to save him. Siddharth grins as soon as she gets inside the building. When Roshni enters the roof, she sees him almost jumping. She strides towards him and pulls him, they both fall on the ground of the roof.

Main bhi tere haathon mein
kismat sa hoon, bikhra hua
She starts yelling at him and scolds him for this immature behavior. He just keeps on smiling seeing her concern for him. She screams finally that she loves him and she cannot live without him. He tells her that he loves her too, and tucks her hair behind her ears. She sees that a rope was tied around Siddharth's waist and he was just pretending to suicide. She smacks him on his chest for making her go through hell.

Just then the entire roof lightens up, and Roshni looks at her surroundings, it was decorated with flowers and drapes. There was a table in the middle and music started playing. Siddharth makes her get up and brings her to sit on the chair. He bends down on one knee and takes out the ring from his pocket. He proposes to her and she accepts it happily, he slips the ring on her finger and takes her in his arms.

They embrace each other tightly, not wanting the moment to end ever. Siddharth loosens the hug, only to cup her face, she encircles her hand around his neck and pulls him closer. The space between them reduces as their lips meet. They kissed with all the cravings that were built up inside them for the past few years. In this passionate moment, Roshni bites his lip by mistake. He jerks back in astonishment to look at her and grins broadly. "I like this new you" he said and rubs the tip of his nose against hers. He leans down to kiss her neck, she runs her fingers through his hairs and they were lost in each other.
So at the end they followed their heart and did not part because they had already left their families. I hope it makes sense 😆
