Hello people!
Ever since IKNMP promos were out i was very intrigued and looked forward to a seemingly wonderful show. I ve been watching a couple of scenes and episodes on and off; following the show without becoming too attached to it :-P

I have one question to all you viewers out there. Is such a scenario possible? I mean, a divorced couple hating each other so much, unable to move on etc. kinda situation would probably last for a couple of years after marriage. Life makes you deal with it and you eventually move on! Imagine living in a shell for 15 years. Obviously both Nachiket and Ragini would ve met many suitable partners. I understand that you were in love and stuff. But, nobody holds on for so long right? And its not like they had to break up without a reason that they are holding on.

From Ragini's POV, if N had cheated or something, she would not harbour feelings for him. That too for so long. It would take time to for her to accept and get over it. But once that phase is over, there is no reason she wouldnt move on. From Nachiket's POV, Ragini never trusted him and blamed him for many things. He too is hurt and would eventually move on. A soft spot for an ex would naturally be there no matter what; but the issues would ve been long gotten past right?

The very fact that they still are affected is probably what makes their love story deep and existential despite all the issues. The issues still hold cause of the depth in their love for one another. (?)😳
I think about their story in this angle and my heart melts. Love like this too exists apparently. Beyond reason. Love that brings problems and magnifies them; but trivialises them at the same time. Its probably unreal too. I cant imagine holding on to someone who I think cheated and have any sort of feelings. I d move on; as would most ppl. That s the advice we would give our friends too. This brings me to ask another question - should we stop rationalising in the matters of the heart? I dont mean trivial aspects. But major issues. A friend was cheated on. And that person asks for a second chance. Wouldnt you advice your friend to forget him and move on? Are we wrong in trying to help by doing the "correct" thing?

I am just curious to know your thoughts regarding these questions.

PS: This is just me thinking aloud. I did not intend to hurt anybody in any manner. If I have, I apologise. Cheers :-)😊

Thanks for the post.
In real life, we would definitely move on in life, ceteris paribus

And if its a friend involved, we would also advice the friend to move on.

All this makes me think. Am sure when Neil and Ragini separated, they might have also not thought about the possibility of not moving on in life. maybe at that point, there main concerns were about the kids. Of course, they would have met other potential partners along the way, especially Neil, given that Pam is enthusiastic about getting his brother settled once again.

Now what held them back from taking any steps.

It would have had made more sense IMHO, if Nivedita was somebody from US - somebody with whom the Khannas have been socialising for long. Doesn't cut ice with me, when I think of the Nagin waiting for Neil for so many years. Also if she is out for revenge, she would have taken some steps interim, and not waited for 15 years. Had she been planning for so long? Then it has to be an airtight plot, which I am already hating.

The key to the suppressed and unrequited love maybe lay in the past, when we come to know the exact reasons for the split. What made them go on separate ways?

great topic.
.
in my opinion the reason they have not moved on is they were and are in love but each party thinks other is to be blamed for their break up.
.
could be circumstances (might be MU or delibrate plan by Pam?? or someone else) made them break up but they are not aware of it and blaming each other.

A lot of factors would have caused such a huge impact that led to the divorce.

Otherwise, parents with 4 kids will not consider divorce as the first option. Am pretty sure both are equally at fault for the present situation.

What they term as hatred is their love for each other actually. It's just that they don't see the inevitable in front of them, and are busy digging trenches all around them.

Hi!
Welcome to the forum.. great post..
Usually, you would move on .. as other people too have mentioned but I think there are some kind of people who find it extremely difficult to do. I think the key thing here was that they did not actively pine for each other or hope to get together when they were away - I doubt they thought of each other all that much as well..

But somewhere in their mind, they had closed that chapter of marriage and togetherness because they were so scarred of their experience together.. it is only when they came face to face that their feelings came to the fore .. that is because they did not adequately resolve the issues when they separated.. which I think is a perfectly valid way of thinking about their relationship.. they just needed a trigger..

Hi awesome topic ...well there are so many strong reasons here and I personally have seen people whose. Still love but situations fail them to stay together...

But yes we suggest them to moveo on...but do u think its easy with kids in hand????

Any new partner in life expects to have their own bilogical offspring... But dp u think physical bonding and emotional thickness will re build it??? At least ur soul will reject coz soul body brains knowns there are two blood shared offsprings pf urs in other part of the work...one day they might come to u and if they question u moved on... What will the parent say??? If Ragini is wdow without kids justified of moving on...after giving 4 or 5 kids to a man moving on or dreaming of Tleast another man coming close is ruled out...not only from Ragini persay even from Neil s persay they cant move on... Separation always happens between hubby wifey but not between mother father...coz their genes gets blended mingled that's why couples can feel each others presence...

Am not taking of western culture here but am sure they too value alot...

By the way haven't watched episode yet am unwell dearies am supposed to be giving WU but family strictly is asking me not to sit n watch but couldn't refrain from peeping in and writing here...

Love u all

Shakti
