So now that I am done with this serial, although I loved all Arnav khushi scenes, but there are few scenes which I absolutely loved..

Arnav taking Khushi to his mom’s garden before their wedding was such a beautiful emotional scene.. I absolutely loved it… their expressions, dialogues, everything was just perfect.. his vulnerability.. I never came along here with anyone, but you today.. you are my wife and my mom’s bahu…

Also when Arnav throws Shyam out of the house, their bedroom scene..when khusji is unable to look at him in the eye, and he understood, and he consoled and hugged her….and then he took her to bed, and as he was about to leave, she hold his hand, and then he sat down, until he thought she was asleep. Then after that, stairs scene… these little scenes were soo important and nice.. but then next day..he, in anger said those hurtful things..that you are responsible for di’s condition…but it was those scenes, before this, that made us beieve that he never meant those words…

Mami jee was also an interesting character.. I absoluteley hated her till before kidnapping track..and thought of her as one dimensional negative character.. infact i read somewhere that she was a grey character..and I thought she was out an out negative but later.. I also kind of started to like her

Other than Arnav khushi, i loved NK, lavanya.. Nani jee, i thought was super rude to lavanya initially just like Dadi jee was to khushi but later though, she mellowed down to lavanya and accepted her, though.. but thankGod she was always super sweet to khush.

i liked Anjali too, for the most part.. though I think most fans dont like her..going by soem comments i read online.. but excpet few episodes, post kidnapping track.. she was always super sweet.. In that track, she got insecure of khushi, but it was because she believed that it was because of khushi, tht shyam was thrown out.. but after few episodes she did get fine..and overall, I found her to be sweet

My top Arshi scenes are from the Payash wedding phase. I can rewatch all those episodes multiple times... not only for Arshi but because everyone else was also given equal screen time. Those episodes have romance, humor and emotion... everything perfectly balanced out smiley27.

As for the other characters, I like almost all of them! Really! smiley36 Naniji, Mamiji, Mamaji (even though his screen time was too less), Anjali, Akash, Payal, Buaji, Sashi, NK, Lavanya... even Lakshmi, Hari Prakash and the invisible Aman smiley36. One of the only main characters I don't like much is Garima because I felt Pyumori'a expressions were too flat... even during the Dadiji track where she was being given ample opportunity... and that would take me out of the scene.

Of course, there are others like Dadiji, Sheetal, Babli... whom I can't stand at all and fast forward most of their scenes smiley11. Even Aarav and Masala Mama are just barely tolerable for me smiley24.

I actually like Shyam's scenes more than all of theirs smiley36. While Shyam is not exactly likable, Abhaas did an excellent job portraying him... and watching Villains like him is interesting as you're always wondering what is going on in their mind and what their next move will be. He could be sweet in one moment and give you the creeps in the next. He kept us on edge... and I like the fact that he could make us feel so many emotions (even if most of them were negative smiley36).

Oh yes.. Arshi scenes during payal Akash wedding phase were shch a treat to watch.. them finally getting to accept their feelings, especially Armav being open about it, and ofcourse who can forget Teri Meri fance performance.. cant get bored of it, no matter how many times I watch it.. Also didi tere jeth ji deewane always bring a smile on my face

Plys, i love Arshi scenes during their wedding festivities for the second time, also their emotional scenes during Anjali losing her baby track.. i loved Arshi emotional scenes then, and pfcourse their romance during their wedding functions.. its the resdon I got disappointed post their marriage because I anticipated and expected much, after their wedding

Oh how can I forget Arshi scenes during kidnapping track.. uff their intense passionate scenes when they met after soo long.. absolutely brilliant.. those scenes were

The scenes which I mentioned earlier.. like him taking her to mothers garden and scenes where he consoled her after throwing Shyam out.. i felt are much less talked about but I absolutely love them

Oh one more thing.. whoever came up with the title of this serial, was a genius.. there couldnt have been a more apt title for this serial, “Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon”

I don't think there is any scene of Arshi which is less talked about smiley36. But yes, I like those two scenes as well... especially the staircase one. I'm a fan of silent scenes - not everything needs to be said in words all the time... and with Arshi, their expressions were always enough smiley27. That scene is so peaceful, something that was very much needed after all the chaos from the kidnapping and Shyam's truth coming out. It was like they finally got to catch a breath and internalize what is really going on, instead of just jumping from one thing to another.

Yes.. that staircase scene was soo soo beautiful.. you said it perfectly..

Ok so, I finally managed to watch ek jashn episodes too, thankfully….from some ig page..

Few thoughts on it..

I dont know why they wasted almost 7 epis, only on recap…just oneAksah and mami jee scene..and only one last epi of Arnav khushi… i mean they could have used

this opportunity soo much better.. they had 8 epis.. they could doo so much more.. atleast we should have gotten more Arshi scenes together..when they had both barun and Sanaya…why did they rob us off such an opportunity and didnt give us more scenes of them together, instead of just showing old scenes..

one thing I found odd..was that Aarav wasnt even mentoned once..although other characters were mentioned.. did the CVs forget about Aarav?

Also..when Arnav took khushi to his mother’s garden, that rose that he brought for khushi on her birthday was already mentioned, and that he brought tht rose from that garden..but here, Arnav was surprised that she knew about tht flower…i think CVs forgot that..

Anyways.. i am obsessed…with this show… too bad, its after 13 years, that I watched this show..but it has been an excellent experience..I had watched many indian shows earlier, some of them Iwas a big fan of…and thee were two shows, which ended abruptly, all of a sudden, within no time…which caused heartbreak to me, and I had vowed not to watch Indian shows again…and I stood by my decision, until now… although I had neard abt Iss pyaar ko kya naam doo and tht it was very popular.. I never intended to watch it… i came across few scenes of it on my ig…and watched them… then i read its story on net..and came to know it wasnt a vry long show which ran for many years…..I thought to watch few epis..those were Arshi wedding epis… i wanted to know how did their misunderstanding relating go shyam got clear? I was like…ok..let me watch it from when they got married for fiirst time.. i dont want to watch whole serial …… but then i thought ok…I should try to watch from the begining..lets see if i find it interesting…and from then on…i got obsessed with Arshi… barring one or two epis of Sheetal track…like basketball one…i feel CVS remained true to Arnav khushi..which I loved… earlier shows which I watched… CVs always managed to ruin their own serial..

So now it tops my list of fav Indian serial

Have become a big fan of Barun..and Sanaya….And to think of it…Barun and Sanaya havent been casted in any othr project together, since… ..why havent the producers cashed on their chemistry and popularity? Its been13 long years.. they deserved another project together…

About Ek Jashn...it wasn't a very well planned project. Star Plus wanted something exclusive to bring the audience to their freshly launched OTT platform Hotstar... and knowing IPK's fan following, they approached the creators to make a short series on it. The creators and actors decided to do it to celebrate IPK 3rd Anniversary (acc to end date)... but Sanaya was already shooting for some other show / movie... Deepali (Payal) was pregnant / just had a baby.. and so on. They had limited time and the actors' availability was also a concern.. so they just make did with what they had. Personally I'm glad there was no mention of Aarav... although the other bloopers like that rose thing could have been avoided. I guess they just didn't have time to sit and watch all the episodes... so the writers went by whatever they remembered. They made the show over 1.5 years and it had been 3 years since it finished.... sometimes you forget little details over time. Kisi IPK fan se script check karva leni chahiye thi...hume sab yaad hai smiley36.

Sanaya was only on the set for a few hours if I remember correctly... that is why the shortage of Arshi scenes. Also, and this is something the actors have themselves stated in some interview for Ek Jashn... that doing romantic scenes with each other is hard for them now. Because the group is almost like a family... they find it awkward to do romantic scenes now.

Perhaps that could be one of the reasons why they aren't doing projects together again... added to the fact that almost all the time, at least one of them is occupied with one shoot or another. Since they both don't have dates available at the same time, they aren't cast together... so that's another reason.

Oh ok.. thankyou soo much for telling abt all this… ok now I understand why there was so less Arshi scene.... thanks a lot.. Yea.. CVs must have forgotten abt little details….Even i didnt like Aarav, just found a bit odd that he wasnt mentioned at all…but as you said, ek jashan was not a very well planned project..but anyways…atleast we got something.. Hoping that one day, we do see Barun Sanaya in a well made project again…

Let's continue here before we are told of for spamming the Anniversary thread smiley36.

Would love to hear your logics... I've found some flaws too (some of which are discussed in this very thread). So I'll tag a couple of other members who have been discussing and dissecting scenes with me. We can take it further together smiley9.
