I have to say, I appreciated (in a sort of "oh, aren't you cute" kinda way) the way Arnav believed that he could sweep the rug right from under Khushi's feet while at the same time holding her so she doesn't trip and fall.
He needs to realise that he can't fix EVERYthing, can't do right by EVERYone. The world's problems don't need to be on his shoulders solely.
I once saw a podcast where this guy was saying something like 'how dare you deny me the honour of laying in the mud with you'. To me it is so profound because Arnav keeps doing that to Khushi. He treats her like this fragile doll who must be protected from the big bad world.
It's no wonder Khushi has sorta reverted back to the feeling that he never loved her and only saw her as a responsibility thrust upon him. And NOBODY can accuse ASR of not committing to his reponsibilities.
Oftentimes when relationships end, I find myself wondering 'where did it go wrong?'. Seeing pieces of a whole come together in this particular story absolutely breaks my heart because I cannot see how things could've gone any other way. More than any external factors (pitfalls which will always exist), I genuinely feel that these two idiots (Arpita nailed it here) must battle their default settings to come out of this ordeal, whichever direction it leads.
