Khushi has every right to be mad at him, but she has to be careful not to go too far.

CHAPTER 27

When the newly wedded couples reached the Raizada mansion they were received according to the custom.After spending a few minutes with the family,the brides retired to their rooms.Khushi and Payal were feeling at home as the mansion once belonged to them.Arnav selected her favourite room as their bedroom,the room where they met first.It looked different after renovation.It had a small adjoining room which opened to the garden.She walked across the room and opened the window.She stood looking out to the beautiful garden and the thick flowery bushes surrounding the mansion.Tears blinded her eyes as she recalled the sleepless nights she spent thinking of Arnav.Everyday she hoped that he would come and claim her.Tears now rolled down her cheeks.She told herself:love hurtsOh..God please give me strength,Don't let me lose my self respect,I love him and it is difficult to resist him.Help me please god,to uphold my dignity.She stood there watching the guests leaving ,then closed the window and came back to the room.She opened her suitcase and took her long night dress,went to the bathroom,took a quick bath and came back to the room.By the time she came back she saw Arnav waiting in the room.She was now aware of the truth,they were husband and wife and they shared the same room and things.He stared at her and asked:Why are you wearing this attire?it looks like a monk's robe.

Khushi,already annoyed at him,got angry and said:What is that to do with you?I'll wear what I like.

Arnav:Ok,cool down,let me take a bath and will come and talk.As he was moving with his towel to the bathroom,he purposely brushed her shoulders,and with a smirk went inside the bathroom.Khushi was now really upset.She sat on the couch and prayed:Oh..God,please help me,he is very handsome,I love him but please help me to resist.

He came to the room after a few minutes wearing only a small towel and he smelt awesome.Khushi quickly went to the adjoining room.She was very shy to see him in such a state.Her heart was thudding.To her horror he came to the room where she was sitting.She closed her eyes and said:Don't you have shame,change to some thing decent.

Arnav:Why Khushi,we are husband and wife.

Khushi:No,change and come,otherwise I won't talk.

Arnav :Ok,don't shout.

He quickly changed and came back.He spoke:Come to our room.It's very hot here.She reluctantly went after him.He went near her ,took her hand and led her to the couch.she was shivering at his touch.

"I am honoured," he said quietly, "that you have consented to be my wife. I'm ready to do anything to make you happy khushi.

Just for a moment Khushi looked into his eyes and she felt herself quiver at the touch of his hand and the depth of his voice,something which made it hard to breathe.

Then, finding herself afraid of the intensity of her own feelings, Khushi moved away and spoke lightly:How will you make me happy?

Arnav :Providing everything you wish,you want,anything that make you happy,Khushi.

Khushi:I was happy,very happy a few months back till you insulted my feelings,my lo...she was going to say my love but then held her words back...

Arnav:Forget it Khushi,I accept that it was my mistake,actually you know I was going to take you away without anyone's knowledge,but circumstances were not supporting.

Khushi:yes,excuses and explanations.If I was not willing to marry you what would have been your reaction and decision?

Arnav:Don't talk nonsense Khushi,why are behaving as though I'm a stranger.?today is the most important day in our life.Don't spoil it Khushi.

Khushi:It's not spoiled as far as I'm concerned.I have no intention of allowing you to touch me as you were ready to sacrifice me to some one else.You have no rights on me.I agreed to marry you only because I didn't want to cause any agony to my parents.We are husband and wife in name only.

She took an air pillow from her suitcase and a thick bedsheet.she spread it on the floor and lied down on it.

Arnav:Are you mad Khushi.Come and lie on the cot.I'm not going to touch you if that is what you want.

Khushi didn't respond.

Arnav:Khushi,listen to me.

He tried to lift her from the floor .As she resisted he lost balance and fell on her instead.His lips touched hers accidentally.They were still for a moment.

Arnav :Khushi,..

His touch and husky voice sent waves of desire in her but she pushed him away with much effort and stood up.

Khushi was hysteric:Mr.Raizada,I warn you

Arnav:Raizada?call me Arnav,I'm your husband.

Khushi:In name only,understand? I am your wife, but until it suits me I intend to remain your wife... in name only.

Arnav:Ok,You loath me know?And me,as a gentleman is not going to force me upon you.But If I'm Arnav Singh Raizada,you will accept me as your husband very soon.

Khushi thought:Loath you,no ..I love you more than anything else but I want to be sure that you love me as much I love you.

Arnav:Lie down on the cot,otherwise you will have body pain.

Khushi lied down on the floor without paying any heed and soon fell asleep as she was very tired but Arnav couldn't sleep as he was constantly checking whether she was ok and also lying awake thinking what to do to win back the confidence.

The post wedding photo shoot,the camera man asked Arnav to kiss Khushi on the cheeks.
