Part 18

Arnav was totally upset as Khushi was on leave for a week.He tried to contact her but she didn't answer his call.He went to the flat and came to know that she was not at home.

Arnav went to a restaurant for dinner .As he parked his car and got out he saw Khushi coming out with Varun .Arnav could not believe his eyes.She was looking very happy and chatting with him and both of them left in Varun's car.

Arnav left without having dinner.

The next day she reported in the office.Arnav was waiting in his office.She went inside his cabin expecting a blast.He didn't ask her anything.Instead he threw the dailies in front of her.She got the shock of her life.

She saw the photograph of herself with Varun walking to the car park with the caption.."Mrs.Khushi Raizada returns to town as secretary to Raizada but seems refreshing friendship with exboyfriend,the rising star in the business world,Varun."now she understood why the staff were giving her odd expressions.

She was shocked and totally broken and with tears in her eyes she turned to go.

Arnav:Khushi...stop.Give me an answer and go. I won't disturb you anymore. We'll part ways.I'll relieve you.But I want just an answer.I know Varun was engaged to a girl and they broke their relation.You know well what happened two years back.Still you are in good company.Ok,you are childhood friends.But you didn't report for duty yesterday but were roaming with him.I owe an answer.

Khushi kept quiet.

Arnav:Do you have any other plans?

Khushi kept quiet.She was crying and biting her lips.

Arnav:khushi,tell me dammit.

Khushi's phone rang.It was Varun.

Khushi cut his call.

Again he rang.She cut it.

Again the phone buzzed.Arnav snatched the phone and looked .He saw Varun's name on the incoming call.He was furious.He threw the phone on the floor.Khushi was shocked.She took it from the floor and checked whether it was working.

Khushi left the room.

The manager and the staff were curious to know what was happening between husband and wife.

The manager:Madam,you didn't tell us that you are Mrs.Raizada.

She kept quiet.

Arnav was now in a dangerous mood.He spent the session in his cabin.He didn't call Khushi.In the afternoon he saw her going with Varun.That was too much for him.

Khushi reached her flat around 8.00 pm.She opened it ,switched on the light and she screamed at the top of her voice because she saw Arnav sitting in the living room.

Khushi:How did you get inside?

He was looking different.Then she realized that he was drunk.His eyes were red in colour

Khushi:Please go

Arnav:Why?You are expecting some one else?His words were not steady.

Khushi:Arnav ji..please go..

Arnav:Arnav ji..that's good.

Khushi:How did you come in?

Arnav:I've a spare key.Come..let me ask you something.

Khushi:Please go.Otherwise I'll scream.

He stood up.He moved towards her.She was very afraid.She fell on the couch.He leaned over her.

Arnav:All women are alike.Not trustworthy...They want only money.

Khushi:Please Arnav ji..you are not in your usual self.

Arnav picked her up in his hands and moved towards the bedroom.

Khushi struggled to be free.He threw her on the bed.

Arnav:Why do you resist me?You like only your boyfriend?

Khushi:Arnav ji,please don't say anything about him.

Arnav:Did it hurt you?

Khushi tried to hit him with the water jug near the bed.He pushed it away and said:So you want to fight,then fight let me see.You are entertaining your boyfriend .So why not me?

He caught hold of her and kissed her brutally biting her lips.He began to kiss her neck and tried to undress her. His hands were moving over her breasts. She cried bitterly.She screamed.He stopped.He stood up.He looked down at her and said:So you hate me.You've done with me.Ok..Good bye Khushi.

A reluctant,calm and composed Khushi reached office.Every one stood up when they saw her.She was embarrassed.The manager came and told that Arnav left town and will be back only after a few days.Khushi felt sad and depressed.She wondered at her feelings.
