some IPK folks, clear my confusion. did he call mamiji as mami during IPK or did he use both? And did he ever refer to his own ma as mother in IPK before? I have a feeling he may have done the 1st but not so sure about the 2nd.

i think it's one way in which we women for centuries have "managed" through patriarchy and the cultural results of it... we know our power is highly taken away, but by hoping we can change a partner, perhaps we try to get some sense of control in our lives... think, we are teh mainstay, the real power behind the so called power...

i am just chatting, what i say may be totally wrong.

what does happen, at least that's what i noticed, is that a certain evolution takes place over time. if you keep saying what you are pointing out is valid, the pati may after a long while (strong men, men who take the lead who go out there and get it done, like our asr, do not drop all their ways and convictions in too much of a hurry... they have succeeded with certain ideas and attitudes and they consider themselves smart enough to get most things... they do not run helter skelter to do things your way even if they love you beyond themselves... this i am pretty sure of... empirically tested fact 😆)... and as the years pass, there is a growth in his appreciation of your pov... and often the other way round too.

i don't think khushi wanted a smiling sweet "right" sounding man in her life at all... she is totally gone on his hothead gussa... her kick possibly comes from knowing she can give it back to him... see how she is raging? haha she definitely loves laad governor with all his takniki kharabi and given a chance she'd love to pour some mango juice in his shoes... that friction and fury, that getting after each other... all of that makes their thing for each other what ot is. if he becomes sweet... poor kkgsr.

that line about him calling anyone mother and giving her that status, yes yes yes... means much too him. won't come about in about of being sweet husband...

and frankly there is no need to... i agree with you, real relationships don't get hung up on who calls whom what.

these are just social norms and one doesn't need to follow them blindly. garima's take on relationship being imp and not whom you address as what, just said so much.

that was ipk... which is why i fell for it... a simple tv soap... so much in it.

especially the guts to be different... unique.

coming to ek jashn. thank god it ended. though it had two of my most favourite scenes as flashback. i married my husband because he had some qualities which i fell in love with. i wont say he hasn't changed a little bit also post marriage. we both have changed a bit to suit ourselves. but our basic traits remain the same. i can only say that i pity khushi if ASR has changed like this post marriage. this blushing bride called ASR is irritating as hell. she was better off with ASR and his pyaar bhara gussa and fell in love with him only. mrs kkgsr must be humming " socha tha kya kya ho gaya kya ho gaya"😭

on the second thought am wondering whose personal life did inspire gautam hegde to write this😆😆 is gautam surrounded with too many henpecked husbands😉

yeah, after so many years, you kind of just do what you please, i guess. i had a great time doing noting and letting the husband get the anni going. was fun. more whisky was had.
