yeah, this is a big one. forum is not half as active understandably, but some of us have been here, never thought of leaving. and on this thread, both the nahiiin and the yesyesyes speak of that same ipk jadoo and nasha. whether we agree or disagree with the show or particular episodes, etc., we are all still in skd. teehee.

oh.. ASR ... grr...Arnavji and Khushi bhabhi are also Barun / Sanaya fans??! Got it.. got it..

ASR reminiscing.. mehsoos.. ehsaas.. was I watching Simran of DDLJ.. "andekha anjana"..

Oh IPK is DDLJ of TV... literally!!

but no ordering Prakash brothers around around for cofee?????? and that too b/c biwi ji says so?? this from the man who reminded her to "Watch the tone" whne she joked ppl will think he is a jorru ka ghulaam?

nahiii understand...not accepting! this is where he was when the show ended an my compaints was thatl... fine the man found love but anger runs in his blood...cant just shut is off...just as sanka runs in hers...planty of opportunities for sanka to drive ASR to angery and move things along with out him totally giving ups himself...
and Sobi...he sure wasn't as top of his game...atleast i know my paagalpan over his acting int he origional was in fact valid...maybe just not much material her for him to run with it...

after all this i want to remain optimistic dammit! it was the first epi and this was more of a recap so hoping more of just a regular epi and no ASR talking to us...we mehsoos him much better through his 10000000000000000000000 expressions!
the angry being the most appreciated...thank you very much!

to add though i did like Sanaya, she was more into the skin of the character...enjoyed her sanka.

Wonderful thread.. well I missed all the fun when the show was on air.. so now I too get to relive it with so many of you and boy, I am mighty glad. The dhak dhak, the rabba ve.. everything has us swooning and why not!! Ha I enjoyed today's epi so much that Satruday seems far!! 😆

me no real fan of ddlj though i watched in 1995 after a big stay away from hindi movies and thoroughly enjoyed it.

i am also only getting it and getting it.

my feeling: ipk is a classic, and like a true classic has its uniqueness, its identity, its body language. stay with its dna, if at all you wish to do anything again.

pitch seemed totally off. and how the badly done up so called rich man's home had me feeling strange. my asr, khushi ji's asr... he doesn't like holes on walls and flowers on headboard. and was it tea that was served to him early morning? adrak wali no doubt.

and why is it that the white waistcoat, despite my lau for his bhastecoats didn't feel like his thing at all. ah the problems of falling flat for a man who doesn't exist.
