Wow this was absolute bindaas.. I loved the ending and concluding of all loopholes. Mind blowing :D how do you even get such ideas? This proves the versatility of your writing.

Ah so we delve deeper into the hidden and unknown. Shyam is too much of a self obsessed beast. So it doesn't come as a surprise to me that Khushi chose Arnav and I am still wondering what and how the society and especially the media would have reacted at her public break up. Since, the first time she was named a gold digger and now?! At least that time Shyam had kept her in an illusion of his love for her.. the second time Arnav had stated different reasons totally sidelining his love for her. So yeah but the article proves us wrong. So I am happy with that.

Yes, as you mentioned film industry is always brought under wrong scanning and this definitely served as an eye opener and I am glad you took this concept! And yes, how did you get the idea of Vaidehi here? And Arnav's dialogue was a kill for! The stage one.. but yeah hands down, that was the most controversial one too..

Overall I enjoyed reading this one.. and I wish and pray you have come here to stay! Thanks chaitu di for this wonderful OS and yeah aptly named! And yes I liked Aakash and Arnav's witty one liners :D cracked me up!

Huh? What did I just read? Although Shyam is a pest, I kind of felt for the guy, when Khushi tells him to let the trophy warm his bed. And literally walks off with Arnav. Actually, erase that. He deserved it. I hope he's happy with the trophy, at least managed to win something from Arnav. I don't think he's actually in love with Khushi, just married her to "show" Arnav and the industry. Man, but those must have been ugly times for Khushi. The media literally would have taken her to pieces. But they've lasted two YEARS!!! C'mon, C, we deserve to know how that bit came to be. part 3 , please :))

The name 'Quicksilver' - very apt for an industry where fates gets rewritten every Friday night. It was an intriguing two-shot with three equally maverick characters. Perhaps Arnav was the most normal of the three :P

Shyam: A self absorbed, narcissist actor who is wired to love only himself. An obsessive personality who can go to any length to steal the limelight from his arch nemesis, Arnav. He is doomed to a life of misery because, like all narcissists, insecurity will remain his faithful companion for the rest of his life. His own achievements will never satisfy him as much as his competitor's failures. Publicity stunts are a part and parcel of this industry but here we have a person who goes to the extent of marrying a newbie just to steal limelight from his competitor's high profile breakup. This was a brilliant characterization steeped in realism. Such people do exist and a lot of times they end up needing professional help. I, for one, felt sorry for him.

Khushi: Quirky and impulsive. A star struck fledgling actress who gets swept off her feet by an established actor and accepts his marriage proposal (Whether her career prospects played a role in her decision wasn't elaborated upon?). Soon after she comes face to face with what lies beneath the brassy sheen of stardom and glamor - her husband's extreme narcissism and obsessive competitiveness. The manner in which she serves just desserts with the aid of the very media whose fodder her wedding was reduced to by her husband was worthy of being a blockbuster climactic scene :)

Arnav: He might have found the perfect nectar in Khushi after flitting from flower to flower :D but let's just hope that his love/ their relationship doesn't change like quicksilver as well.

All in all, a brilliant, thought provoking read. Loved it 🤗 Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

Chaitali,

This was amazing. A story that has all the makings of Bollywood celebrity stardom, combined with our very own IPKKND when it was in the making...as Vaidehi. Loved how you envisaged the characters, how Arnav as Raghav and Shyam as Ravan in their present day avatars managed to essay roles similar to their archetypal warring selves in the myths...and Khushi proved once again that it is the woman who after all has the last word about whether she wants to continue her relationship with someone she finds so stressful...poor Shyam, like the mythical Ravan he was too bigoted, self obsessed and focused on the wrong goals...he lost only because of this huge fault in his character...as for Arnav, ah, even the hero needs to play his cards right...and that is what he did by assuring Khushi that he had no hidden agenda...had he done the contrary and told her he loved her, Khushi would have turned right away and left...loved that sleight of hand by Mr. Raizada.

This was awesome, and I can only hope you continue regaling us with many more A and K masterpieces!

Best,
