Hi Kavi,
Thank you and apologies for a delayed response.

Yes, Arnav's introspection and resolve to set right the wrong and ease the pain he has caused Khushi is commendable.
Khushi understands his cruel words/actions and has already told him, but her fear is for the future.

<font color="#0000FF">"And", she paused and inhaled deeply, struggling to hold the pieces of her crumbling face together, "And if I do decide to get back with you, how will I believe, how can I believe, Arnav, that every-time I make a mistake, every-time I hurt you unintentionally, every-time I do something dumb, you wouldn't set out on this deliberately destructive path again...hurting me..hurting yourself? That you wouldn't be compelled to draw comparisons between me and La..your past? How can I believe that your cynicism will allow you to keep faith in my love, in relationships, in us? I'm afraid, Arnav. I'm afraid for me, for us, because I don't think I will be able to take this pain again. I'll die...".</font>

My thoughts about the proverb you quoted...
To err is human - totally agree
But to forgive is divine - forgiveness is multifaceted, depends on the grievance and not to be taken lightly. Only God is divine.
Bygones and starting all over again; The past, good and bad is responsible for making us who we are today and should not be selectively "bygoned".
I believe what Arnav said,
<font color="#0000FF">"Let's make memories...Let's make enough happy memories to help us live thorough the painful ones".</font>
I want the "not nice" I did to lurk around...way in the back... so I never repeat it again.

As Jen said, this phase of Khushi and Arnav's life is that of "realizations".
They love each other, but since love alone is not sufficient for a happy successful relationship they need to and they will spend time together to really know and understand each other.
Also, TRUST once broken or damaged takes time to rebuild.

Kerrie, I love..love these lines..."I want the "not nice" I did to lurk around...way in the back... so I never repeat it again" Brilliantly expressed.

😊

Not entirely.
First - Khushi was not having an "affair" with a "married" man. For it to be called an "affair", Arnav would have had to be "connected" to his spouse. He was legally separated.
The "love" equation is also not the same. One is "parent/adult child" and the other is that of a "lover".

Iike I said, it was just a random thought that cropped up in my mind earlier today...And I can clearly see where you're coming from. Bit of an apple and an orange kind of a situation :) Situations that lend themselves more to contrasting than comparison. The only similarity I can discern(from my omniscient vantage point) is a 'perception' of "broken trust' in both equations. Whether the trust is really broken remains to be proven over time...

Good morning Jen. 🤗
Keeping it brief since I am on my way to airport.
I will say the "line" was not crossed, so for Sujata I will say "disappointment" with her daughter and for Arnav a plea of "misdemeanor" or maybe even "temporary insanity".

GM Kerrie 🤗 Have a safe trip! And I love your points :) In the next chapter, we'll see Khushi trying to find her way through the back alleys of Arnav's mind and come across some honest lies! :)

Ah! Jen, thank you as always dear. 🤗 You're too sweet, to call my lame words brilliant. Love you too. ❤️

I was super exhausted when I wrote that comment, wasn't even sure whether my words were making any sense or not.

I would like to know what thoughts went through Arnav's mind that sleepless night if possible. What was he thinking seeing Khushi so hurt... Now that she has actually put forth in words her worst fear for that night.

Also, the title about the next chapter seems to indicate that Arnav will somehow not totally fess up to Khushi about the tiny desire he had felt that night only to make Khushi feel better... Is that so? Will he gloss over the truth?
