Thank you rhea, durga.
Oh yes now I recall Shyam throwing her phone and about the batua..
I can never trace the ins and outs of Khushi's phone. Asr threw it in the store room right, not sure when she got it back:)
Durga, yes no back up copies for anything when apparently what they were doing was nothing short of a professional investigation of a crude criminal case. About the passport great point. But they cant rely on anything that Shyam has becos they know he has the knack to make it disappear even if he has. They could have called Guptas too. Its unthinkable NOT having Guptas in the picture when they were the direct witness to his fraud for 6 months!
I was watching 288 just now, and its most obvious that writers certainly had different plans initially for the exposure as Khushi enters the house first not him or not them together. So they must have planned to keep asr's where abouts still in dark for family and she and NK trying to get the truth of his where abouts directly Shyam's mouth. Barun was not around too so fits the bill to keep asr away for those couple of days.
But then channel must have said they can not afford to NOT have the male lead in the picture any more.. hence all the last min stitching with the BD s and barun's single shots..and the ignominy of asr being silent! alas...

shyam snatched away her phone when he caught her hiding behind the drums... she had just spoken to nk.

and the will she got signed by shyam, she had carried in her batua, which flew out of her hand when she tripped and fell outside the place where asr was held captive.

indu, you may have just cracked the code. yay. yes, that seems plausible. and would have worked very differently, only thing, i am sure they would have had some ploy to make sure shyam was not completely eliminated...

but yeah definitely at the door something happened which never ever got revealed.

and that really messed up with the way they presented my asr, ha ha indu, he may be yours and sohara's but he is totally mine i hope you know that.

thank you for liking my rant while in "that" sort of mood.

durga,

good point about copies... and yes, the passport was still there in the brief case... but i think the idea was to show what a survivor shyam is... total snake. and being a lawyer, aware of the drama factor of a court room and its ability to sway the listener, he would go hell for leather fotr that tactic...

my real grouse here... though yes, nk and khushi come across as silly for not doing certain things, and it is obvious they have written it to show how no proof, whether available or not will work, and then asr will accept khushi's version without raising any question or demand for proof... my main crib is... the completely "off" presentation of the character called asr.

there is a particular point in 290, when everything inside me said, this is where he'll step in.

he didn't... and for an episode and a half he kept quiet.

ridiculous.

i think indu's reading of why they had to drag barun in may be right.

whatever the issues... writing really can save a situation. it failed.

it was also slipshod and tacky presenting the lack of material evidence angle. yes, that passport was there... at least they should have got that into the story an then let shyam find a way to wriggle out of it.

i understand, writers were under pressure, especially with constant changes... but still... these are terrible gaps. a little bit of calmly sitting and thinking may have helped them get better ideas. my pov, of course.

Yes these people have written Telepathy and now this...Shame Shame

Gifts were sent by who...these people who don't know anything under Shyam's instructions and if teh boss is Nikama then chailey bhi waise hi honge na...

But Nani was thinking about him...

Now the Lust of this filthy man who is after money and honey...It was totally heartwrenching for me seeing Khushi going through all as how hard it must be for a girl who hates the person who nearly destroyed her , her family and now she has to win all and that is why when she said...hum kissi had tak ja sakte hain...I love her...because that is her extreme for her love ...her Arnavji

Underlined...I am having different point of view...

Poolside is not only for romance but it also a place where Anjali's Hubby can sit, can use to come and go to her room, can make plans to kill the child , his own unborn child by spreading broken pieces of glasses...

hi faiqa,

thanks for reading the take... these are all getting more and more difficult to write about.

teehee, i love your diff pov on poolside.

and ugh i want to kill everyone for allowing the snake to get there... my heart rebels and wants to dangerously harm men who plan such evil... gah, that child thing... faiqa.. it was a sin i tell you to think up and show such a thing. and i mean sin in the most awfully terrible way. just for high so called drama and trp.

terrible.

i know indian tv shows some pretty gruesome stuff and that too casually... but this was unpardonalble. and in ipk?

so what would have happened if anjali had the baby... because shyam is bad, we must be shown that "good" anjali is not the bearer of his child?

the baby was anjali's child too.

and what sort of thinking is this. shocking.

you are right, it was standing at the poolside shyam flicked the switch.

Digressing as always.. Am watching ASR and dadi first episode.. how good is he? he is perfect... and even with dadi, when a show can get such great characterization of ASR, why couldn't they capture a perfect Khushi?

thanks, rhea,

tell you honestly, these are really difficult episode to watch, bland and written with a roughness, something crude. not felt work, just done work.

asr with dadi... undamnbelievably good from the very first shot.

his whole body language from the moment he sees her.

and yet at times a little need, like a grandson's, i fancied i saw that when he hugged her though warily.

and did you see the frown he opted for only for the dadi phase. it is there in indu's edits... the line somehow deeper. it is there when he walks up to dadi and says, khushi is bahu of ghar, can do whatever she pleases... it's as though his body has an involuntary reaction to dadi, the frown just a thought away, ready to appear the moment it needs to.

and for khushi, ah, it's that smile which is just there, triggered at the slightest.

now that i think, aren't we like that with people too. some, the moment we hear of or see, it's a nahiin and a frown or a scathing tone of voice in us, while others light up our happy response zones, so a smile or a chortle is waiting to burst forth.

for an actor to convey this... what is the depth of understanding i am wondering... maybe the director said this to him? maybe not? oh i so some day want to ask barun, how he acted the way he did.

and asr's take on izzat for dadi as elder... he does not say it sarcastically... he means he has respect but not in a way that you can walk all over people just because you are the elder...

how magnificent is he in that phase, angry and assertive with dadi and in contrast how tender and protective of his girl who is feeling awfully out of place and unable to handle this thing... khushi has grown up believing you must live in harmony with all in your sasural... and acceptance by an elder is a must, it reflects badly on you if you aren't... this makes her completely uncomfortable. disoriented.

loved that scene where he holds her hand and walks away. the look on his face when he realises her discomfort, the hurt in her and the tremulous feelings assailing... and that grand frown.

barun understood asr so terribly well.. and in these bits i feel his personal opinions concurred... elevating the performance.

ASR coming back home after kidnap is one of the most cherished moments. I recall most of us having their hearts filled seeing him enter that RM doorstep. RM was a soulless skeleton without him.
Here is my teeny weeny celebration welcoming the man..
Thanks Kate for the inspiration.

You have come, so did the light along with you,
Without you the flame was dying in the embers,
You have given me reason to live,
Life was mostly meaningless before this
