you are really a story teller aren't you? i saw this visual when you opened the thread, you put it in right at the end i think. no exaggeration, my breath almost stopped and i stared, struck, at it... slowly through the darkness, the shadows of sheesh mahal came into view, to one side his eyes glittered, and a dominant asr fixed the world with a hard cold stare elsewhere... little specs flew across the visual like fireflies... were they memories, were they the passage of time? sheeshmahal became even clearer... how has kate managed to make this, i thought. the colours of asr, smooth, subtle, not too bright, yet the eye wants to see them feel them... a man and his whole life, his character, his mystery, his story...
you've gone way beyond the technical possiblities of a software or two in this one, kate. to the soul of asr you've gone, using a medium and some raw material... maybe because you felt every push of the button with your heart and imagination, maybe because you are so damn talented...
i looked at it and thought... wish i'd done it. that's the yardstick often used in my line to sense what's got that "it" in it.
thanks, kate... this will stay with me a long time. it gave me the clue to the horus i wanted to give faiqa. and though i may someday figure out the tools you used to create this piece, i know only you could have made this, because it was your story to tell and every bit of you yearned to tell it. thank you so much.
