Ok i was a silent reader for long time! Not because of lack of want but simply beacuse i could not as i was travelling all over country taking exams and it was difficult from phone! But i read the stories as gave me much needed respite! The break and distraction! The moment i got free i got on a comment spree!!

So pls writers dont write like' silent reader shoo away' or silent readers get lost! Arey yaar they are not dogs or beggars!!

Some are too shy to write, some are not very good with word!!So please encourage them to come out but dont treat them as a despicable category!! Sometimes i dont feel commenting if the writer is too harsh on readers n literally threatens not to update n all!!

Now many writers do appreciate comment, they read, they express gratitude!n m grateful to the, but Some dont even bother to like! Some donot reply to PMs !and then i think y did i even bother to send a pm appreciating their work!!

- this happened with me.. i spent my entire day in reading the story and writing the comment (that was the second longest comment i wrote on this forum) and all that write said was thank you...!! and i never read her stories again... which was a right decision because she has discontinued her stories..😛

So though i understand writers dilemma too as they cant reply to each n every comment everytime! But once in a while just let ur reader know that she/ he is appreciated!! Else they feel their comments are not valued and they stop reading!

- if a writers take 10-12 days to write a chapter why they can't add one more day in replying the comments and delay their updates...😕

Plus some writers sometimes even fail to recognise you as your reader! So i have had mixed experience here!!

And yes i do agree with all the points put up by shruti! But i do understand writers problem too to some extent but i guess it should be a two way process!!

- i have always supported a writer pov.. have spent 2 years in that.. but in that process i forgot that i am reader and recently the kinda attitude writer's are showing towards there reader.. it's high time to speak out aloud... people here generally don't speak infront of the writers because they want to be in their good books.. i don't belong to that category...⭐️

N pls respect all the readers! Even if a single reader is reading it your purpose of taking story to the people is getting served!!

I nowadays wait for few updates before I read and comment for those who takes times and its not because I want to be rude but because it easy for me to understand the story. Yeah I am little bit slow.
I know that the writers have their personal life and we should respect that and the writers should do the same. It not like all the readers have nothing else to do.
I never expect any kind of response from the writers because that will make it easy for you but lots of people wants response from the writers and stops commenting because they will come to think that the writer doesn't value their comments. I will say here is that dont except anything from the writer then a regular updates because they are doing what they can. Just read and say what you think and move on.
Then there is some writer who they are close to some reader and some can take this in wrong way. Here you have to understand that there will be something they share with each other and it cant happen with everyone.
Some reader can fine some writer rude and that can also be a reason for being a silence reader. Dont like the writer but like the story. Its hard I know.
I have stop reading some stories because I felt that the writer didn't value me a reader. Stop reading but dont read and not comment.

Like we all know that the writers are giving their free time to writer story to us and that too for free.

okay i do understand this.. but why a writer don't understand this that even a reader don't get any monetary benefit..?

Maybe they have their reason but the only thing we can give back as reader is a comment so why not?

I know and understand the silence reader but I would tell them to come out and say something and trust me its more fun.

Why will a reader comment on your story when you have gala time with your friends ignoring the comment of other just because you don't know them??

Why will a reader comment on your story when you take ages to update a chapter?? Yeah real life is more important then even a reader also have a life beyond IF.. You have one story to write they have 100 stories to comment...

Why will a reader comment on your story when you keep them waiting when you can easily post a Note?? Do you people check their patience ?? or Are you checking your fan following??

I have seen here people set rules for other keeping themselves in the exceptions..

These reasons are enough to hurt a person and then few readers are forced to turn as the silent one..

No, i am not a silent reader i was just trying to think from their POV...
