I was just watching few of the early episodes of IPK when Kushi had just joined Arnav's company as La's Asst. You look at the ruckus she was creating in the office, her appearance and nature and you can't help but wonder how ASR would ultimately fall for this Ajeeb girl. (Some of us would say he had fallen for her already.) How could they fit into the same frame? And then I see this scene where an Angry ASR drenched (courtesy Kushi, who sets off the fire alarm by lighting the diya for Devi Mayya) meets Kushi at the parking lot. Kushi is confronting him at the pretext of wanting to know his address so that she can return the money she owes him (Actually, you were plain attracted to this Laad Govnr weren't you Kushi? Of course that did not dawn on you until much later ) The scene ends with ASR tearing off Kushi's duppatta that gets stuck on to the mirror of his car. You realize it was not sparks that were flying between the two of them, but fire.As audience we were mesmerized watching this incredible chemistry between two people who looked just perfect in a single frame together. Wouldn't we have wondered that ASR being ASR should have been angrier at the girl standing in front of him unless he too was incredibly and unconsciously attracted to this girl. (Imagine his irritation if he were to realise it then. )You forget that in the real world two such diametrically opposite people are unlikely to ever come together .We were left wanting for more, waiting eagerly for the next episode where these two would b found in the same frame, such was and is the charm of ASR and his Kushi .
I have seen many romantic soaps which operate on the premise that opposites attract, but none that I have seen have dwelled on for so long in my mind.A good many of us keep watching Arshi scenes again and again just to feel their magic again. Sarun as Arshi were just perfect, incredible actors who brought to life two incredible and unforgettable characters of Indian Television. See what they have done to us,they have brought us to this forum, reading and writing about scenes which have already been analyzed and interpreted countless times. How many new stories have they inspired and how many new writers and WTH is happening, I actually wrote two paragraphs. Arshi magic I guess. Thanks for bearing with me even if it was just old wine in well…. not so new bottle.
