OR WHAT MADE ARNAV TICK ... NOTHING IMPORTANT ... liar liar pants on fire ..KUCH KHAAS TOH HUA NA ... isiliye u paused ...This caught me big time .. cause it was just after Nani asking him to pause .. he paused .. he FELT HER .. but he was not yet ready to accept HER ...PART 3 --"aapke haath mein chatri hoke bhi aap bheeg gayeaap yeh apne paas hi rakhiye ... humare paas devi maiya ki chatri hai "An incredible dialog ... an incredible setting .. an incredibly deep meaning .. the brilliance of this one dialog seriously made me wonder .. just how many layers of IPK did i still have to unearth ..Yes Shyam Manohar Jha had his "chatri" ... Anjali Jha ... but his greed to amass more .. made him leave the 'shade' of Anjali .. & become vulnerable .. He had Anjali .. he wanted Khushi ... & he wanted both of them at the same time .. but by wanting Khushi .. he left himself open to exposure ..the exposure of his true intent .. his GREED ..Her own PERSONAL UMBERELLA ... ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ... now when u connect the dots .. doesn't the brilliance of the script writing of IPK blow ur mind away ...

I am so glad you asked the question regarding ASR being prejudiced...Below is an edited version of what I had posted yesterday... Dunno if you got a chance to read it...
ASR makes so many biased, erroneous and prejudiced statements about Khushi ...Tum jasi ladkiya...Auukat... Hassiyat... All based on the first encounter... One can be forgiven for mistaking that he truly is prejudiced against people of lesser means or social status...
Like you, I too personally and very strongly believe that this version of ASR does not gel right... He is after all a modern, cosmopolitan, liberal man... His world view seems very elegratarian ..yet he spouts these antiquated sentiments... I think this was done to suit the story line rather than his true character...
If you read my post... And I know you did...😛... The reason I wrote it from ASR's perceptive is coz I have had the toughest time trying to tie him to these words... So the only way I could do it was to show a conflict within him...even as he speaks them...He truly can't be the person who holds anyone below him merely on the account of their monetary standing...He, however, is completely intolerant ... Does not suffers fools at all and incompetence even less... He yells at the Prakash brothers or Aman not so much out of class divide as he does because of his inability to cope with incompetence... He would be a horrid but completely fair boss...
So to sum it up... Yes I agree with you that he was not prejudiced, but early on was portrayed as one...
Absolutely loved your take on the chattri...I missed that one completely...
