Welcome to yet another Reflection, let me at the outset thank each one of u who made the DC anniversary extra special ... as they say .. sharing your joy increases the Joy ... So Thanx.

Tonite ... after a rocking 7 episode haul ... the serial breathes a sigh in its 8th episode .. if u get the deeper lining of the episode you will probably love it .. otherwise its a pleasant watch anyways ..

So todays Reflection ... to give u an insight on todays episode .. i want to actually take u back a couple of DC's ... a chance line by Girloffire .. set me off ... she said .. the 2 men .. Shyam & Arnav "DESTROYED" Khushi's life .. i did comment on this then .. but the thought refused to leave me .. it made me wonder .. how many in the forum thot this ... SO .. lets play our fav game .. LETS BUST SOME MYTHS ...

Did Arnav & Shyam DESTROY KHUSHI's life .. . or was it?? that... SHE WAS THE CAUSE OF their DESTRUCTION ... ????

Recommend u catch hold of ur remotes now ...

So lets fast forward to Shyam's ultimate Reveal ...

Khushi & NK enact the "love story" of Anji & Shyam .. so a supposed chance encounter leads to love .. OR WAS THE ENCOUNTER CHANCE .. ?? nope if u understood the between the lines of that enactment .. it was clear ... IT was a planned encounter .. a encounter planned to NIP THE BUD .. to catch Anji ... a woman craving for attention & love .. a woman with strong abandonment issues ..

Now forward to Shyam's outburst .. his outburst is clear .. his greed made him plan this .. a brilliant plan .. he ingratiated himself to the Raizada family .. became a solid pillar to the family .. became their port in a storm ...

So this was careful planning of lets assume 3 years .. 2 years of marriage ( thats where the story starts from) ... & probably 1 year of courtship ..

Now one sunny day in Lucknow .. the man meets his MARK ... he meets KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA .. & all is lost ... he falls in LOVE / LUST .. & there goes his plans ... his obsession with KHushi costs him his RANI SAHIBA .. or better yet it costs him his KINGDOM .. SHANTIVAN ..

Now connect the dots .. didnt u ever wonder .. during both exposures of SHYAM .. why did KHUSHI LEAD the exposure ... Arnav & Anji each on both occasions just come in the end to pronounce the judgement .. BUT THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN was banged in BY KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA ... The real NEMESIS in the carefully planned life of SHYAM MANOHAR JHA ...

Now lets look at Mr. ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ...

If u get Arnav .. u will know how Khushi successfully .. waylaid his plans for his lIFE ...

So remote in ur hand once again please ...

From the start of the serial .. there is one aspect of Arnav's thats drilled into the viewer .. Arnav's disbelief in the institution called MARRIAGE ... now lets forward a bit .. Lets go to one of the famous NOK JHOK segments of Khushi & Arnav's post marriage ..

Khushi tells Arnav " Humne aapko itna majboor toh kar hi diya ke aapko humse shaadi karni padi" ... 😃

Now lets go the engagement of Arnav & La .. Arnav finally looses the battle with himself & tries to KISS KHUSHI ... when he is jerked back .. he is shocked .. ( will explain all this later) .. he cant believe he lost CONTROL ... cause he knows what a KISS TO KHUSHI MEANS ... a KISS TO KHUSHI Means .. HE HAS OPENED HIS HEART TO HER ..

He quickly goes & proposes engagement to La ... to avoid KHUSHI & the question in her eyes .. which in the next moment he regrets .. Cause at no point was he intending any marriage or engagement to Lavanya ...

Then comes the terrace reveal of the supposed illicit affair .. the base of the MU of IPK .. the moment he sees KHUSHI in the arms of SHyam .. he marries her ... he TIES HER TO HIMSELF ... he succumbs to the EMOTIONS SWIRLING WITHIN him from the time he met her on a Stage in LUCKNOW ...

There .. Arnav Singh Raizada had a plan .. he did not believe in marriage .. but one day he met KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA ... & well what do they say about ... THE BEST LAID PLANS OF MICE & MAN ...😉

Shyam was the negative character in the show .. hence his destruction was "punishment" .. while Arnav was the hero of the show .. HENCE his destruction was .. " FALLIN OF HIS CAREFULLY CONSTRUCTED SHIELD"

OK now simply connect this to tonites episode .. & u will get the deeper meaning of the episode down pat .. 😉

EPISODE 008 --

No analysis today ... but a simple observation ..

Its the calm before the storm is about to hit .. thats the episode 8 for u .. i wrote this a couple of times in the past as well .. KHUSHI is amazingly non chalant about the man who saved her life .. she is not gushing with gratitude .. she is just about friendly ... & theres a reason for that .. KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA .. ki Sui .. Arnavji pe tikki thi .. her chord got stuck on Arnav Singh Raizada .. note through the episode she only talks about him ...

Now since all of us have got into this P&P .. was Arnav Prejudiced discussion .. let me just high light one thing from this episode for u ...

There is a dialog of Anjali ... when she is with Arnav on the pool side ..

" tum humse kuch kehte nahi ho iska yeh matlab nahi ke hum kuch jaante nahi hai ... tum din bhar aise logon ke saath rehte ho jo dar ke maare tumhare aage muh nahi khol paate .. aur baaki waqt inn paid paudho ke saath bita te ho .. jo chah ke bhi tumhe kuch nahi keh sakte"

Now reflect on this statement ... & u will get ur answer on was Arnav Prejudiced ...

OK ok ..

NO ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA was not prejudiced ... yes sometimes he spoke dialogs which made u think he was .. but ARNAV WAS NOT ..

Lets look at Arnav ... he lives in a swanky house ... the living rooms main focal point is a MANDIR ..

In his swanky house .. he has a GOAT as a housemate ..

His mami was a house servant .. to whom Arnav was immensely grateful .. as she was the one who helped him set up his business ..

SO basically AR designs was founded on pure hardcore blue collar money .. The biggest thing about Arnav Singh Raizada ... A self Made man .. can never be prejudiced .. HE CAN BE PROUD & EGOISTIC about his achievements BUT he cant be prejudiced about those more unfortunate than him ... cause he was also at some point UNFORTUNATE ...

Now lets look at episode 1 .. thats where if u ever thot Arnav was prejudiced .. that myth gets blown over ...

A woman steps on to a stage .. ruins an event which was the culmination of a dream for this young man ... whats more .. not only does she step in the worng place .. SHE FALLS RIGHT INTO the event as well ..

Now a prejudiced man .. would not have stepped forward to HELP THIS DAMSEL IN DISTRESS ... he would've let her fall ... BUT THe KNIGHT STEPS FORTH & SAVES HIS DAMSEL ...

Now onto .. Arnav's ridiculous diatribe against KHUSHI ... Simply ask urself one question ..

Was it Prejudice .. or was it simply ... A DEFENSE MECHANISM .. the moment the girl fell in his arms ... he was lOST .. the careful PLANS OF ARNAV were put to paid ... right there on the first episode of the serial ..

Now with this thot in mind .. watch episode 2 .. the whole confrontation between KHUSHI & ARNAV ... & lets discuss .. if u still think Arnav was prejudiced .. 😉

OK ok .. so i am a nice person one more hint ... who arranged Payals wedding to Akash ??? rather who paved the way for Payal to marry Akash ??? Payal & Khushi were sisters .. same background .. or rather the same AUKAAT ... 😳😳

i have always maintained that arnav has been a misunderstood man throughout the serial. his anger has always been blown out of proportion and khushi's innocence has been cloaked in her goodness.

his anger notwithstanding he was always attuned to khushi and the dargah scene, the mandir scene all reinforce the fact that the streak of goodness was there, he just didnt want to show his vulnerability

Is this the day the Ghar ki Laxmi has come home??? She after all has had her bidai from her parents home... And now is on his doorstep... With bag and baggage

Di had said...Dianiha pown rahkiya..Vaisya aap shubh mahorat par aai hai... Kaam Ho jayga...She has come to heal your brother Di... Kaam toy ho hi jayayga...

Agape...Wide eyed...utterly guileless...carrying a burden... But one that holds treasures ( her Gathri) With her right foot forward...Khusi steps over the threshold ... to start a new chapter in her life...

Love the next scene as she sweaks across the floor to sink into the plush sofa...She is completely fascinated... Open mouthed ...Wide eyed blinks...like a kid in a candy store or in case of Kushi ...Halvai ki dukan... at the opulence she sees laid out before her...She effortlessly and unknowingly, proceeds to charm Anjali with talk of sangamarmar... Chmaday ki jooti... Heroine jaise Shaka...

I too have often wondered who Sanaya looks like ... Coz she truly resembles a whole lot of movie stars.. Madhuri in Jeeji tera jetji...Hema malini in the hut ... One brief close up when he asks her Tum ko kaisay patta challa ki mein mooseebat mei hoo ... But I think she looks most like the yesteryear queen ... Sadhana ...( Only lovers of old, utterly romantic Hindi black and white movies will get this reference ) especially in the scene where she is locked in the bathroom... Plotting Jeeji aur Jeeja jee ka karnamay!!!

But now for now she is lost in the bhool boliya..Wandering the halls...The lost Khushi sings her little ditty... Rah baatday mori Maiya ...And Maiya promptly once again...lands her in the right spot... ..Bakri ka kamra...his room... Just as she had deposited her a few days ago...on his ramp..

Di had stopped him from going to his work...not calling out for him as he was leaving ... safeguarding his mission...and now they pass each other as ships in the night ... their mehsoos of each other... not yet awakened again after that one first incident...

They do not meet...not just yet...Had he seen her... Sparks would have flown ...tempers would have flared...???

And so her first time in their home she is invited in and welcomed by his Di ... A true griah pravesh...

Just thought of this... Isn't it ironic that the only Muslim in the show recognizes the Ghar ki Laxmi!!! Love I P K even more...
