Hello Hi, Bye Bye...

It's been one whole year today, since DC made its debut on India Forums.. we have seen loads of ups and downs in DC, in the show... Some episodes we loved, some we didn't.. yet we are back... right from the beginning, 'cos it's the magic of this show and the love from you all ... that makes us want to come back day after day ! 🥳

Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang

The Introduction of The Raizadas !

The episode started with Khushi Express which landed in Delhi and banged straight into Arnav Singh Raizada's Mean Machine !

But much on that later. This episode also introduced to us the Raizada - Hogwarts - Mansion, and its various zoo members !

Devyani Singh Raizada - The Soft, yet stern Matriarch!

Mahendra Singh Raizada - The subtle, witty pillar of support !

Manorama Singh Raizada - The colorful and loud; walking-talking makeup kit -- And her Hello, Hi, Bye, Bye !!!

Too many pics of Maami you say... but then wasn't she present everywhere !

Various Prakash Brothers - And yes, there used to be a time when there were more than one servant in the multimillionaire's mansion !

One scene that got my attention in this episode was the chat between Arnav and Nani.

Small talk was never really ASR's forte, and his Nani knew that, yet the smart lady knows how to tackle him. All she did was to give him a smile and look expectantly, and he had to start talking.

Even Later, it was Nani who knew how to get things out of Arnav.. when she discussed Khushi's rishta with NK during Payash wedding.. Push the right buttons, and he sings like a canary ! 😆

The episode also saw Anjali trying to make Arnav dance to her tunes, as we have seen many a times during the show... As much as he loved his Di... there were certain things he wouldn't do... even for her ! Like wearing a Kurta Pyjama... but later he did... not for her, but for his Khushi's Khushi !

The Bing Bang Theory !

Kyun Paisa Paisa karta hai,

Kyun Paise pe yeh Marta hai...

The words keemat, aukaat, money... that's all Arnav Singh Raizada knew when he met Khushi Kumari Gupta.

It all started with 25,000/- and a 1,000/- Rs tip at that... which went up to 100,000/- and add another 300/- to the sum total ... it didn't matter how much Khushi owed to Arnav in monetary terms,it was ultimately about the challenge...

"I Promise you, I'll pay it all back to you !" - Said KKG

"Khuddari ki baatein bahaut sasti hoti hain, aur paisa bahaut mehnga !" - Taunted ASR

It is all about the money, honey ! Or so they thought. But that's how Devi Maiyya made sure Khushi Kumari Gupta and Arnav Singh Raizada will meet again and again and yet again !

Welcome to yet another edition of Reflections, If u have read my penultimate DC (when the show ended) u would know all about how DC came into being ... Thank you Star for giving us a chance to keep the fire burning ...

DC became ur place on the forum thanks to so many people finding it the spot to come & fall in love with the show ... thats precisely what we want to do this time around as well .. to borrow a line from the king of romance .. Yash Chopra ...

Come fall in love ...

EPISODE -007

An incredible start of an incredible series ... the first 5 days of the show ... gave us the promise of some magic .. & today we know the magic was not just dust .. but huge flakes which has us in its grips even a good few months after the show has ended ..

Episode 7 ... if you got the story in EPISODE 2 ... you got the SCREEN PLAY in Episode 7 ...

Honestly this morning i thot i will do the 2 min watch of the episode (fast forward to just the gist) .. but the moment i switched it on .. i was stuck .. watched the whole 22 mins ...

I am going to break this episode in 3 parts .. the 3 most important parts of the SERIES ..

Reflect on these 3 parts .. & you get the entire screen play of the show ... 😃 ( seriously wondered thru the show why people bothered to predict on this show .. the show was outlined for us within the first 7 episodes 😉)

PART 1 ---

"itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai
ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai...

They met ... they fought .. they parted ... then they met again .. they fought .. they parted ... then they met once again .. the fought & they parted ...

Was there a pattern here .. ofcourse .. dint NK say it right ... ISS WAR KO KYA NAAM DOON ...

I will take u back to an earlier post of mine .. where i asked u guys .. what would've happened if Khushi instead of ALL GUNS BLAZING at Arnav when they met again would meet .. Broken & lost .. ?? do reflect on that ... most of u will get the answer to the BIG ques i asked in yesterdays DC .. WAS ARNAV REALLY PREJUDICED ???

Ok today am in a mood to blow some myths ...

Go back to the dargah episode ... Khushi met Arnav .. he has no adverse reaction on seeing her .. he doesnt start firing ... till KHUSHI starts in on him ...

Again watch episode 7 ... Arnav is shocked to see the lady who sets his heart going DHAK DHAK ... but is quiet till KHUSHI comes out all guns blazing at him ...

Now connect this to the first HOT TEA throwing incident ... she throws tea at him .. & then comes to apologise to him .. the moment he sees her crying & apologetic .. he crumbles .. he is LOST ...

Note everytime Arnav is mean to Khushi & is extremely rude to her ... he stops & looks back at her to see the reaction of his words on her ... this was a pattern as well ..

Now connect this to Payal's dialog when Arnav brings Khushi home in a faint after the guest house incident ... She says .. WHY R U DOING THIS .. U R DOING THIS SO THAT ONE DAY SHE WILL BREAK ...???

Now once again i will ask u guys to watch all these epis .. & come back lets have a discussion >> WAS ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA PREJUDICED ??? OR WHAT MADE ARNAV TICK ... WHEN HE WAS PRESENT IN KHUSHI'S PRESENCE ...

ok ok .. just cause i am a sweet person .. one more clue ...

When Khushi leaves Arnav while there is 12 days remaining on their marriage contract .. & Arnav pays the rent on Buaj's house ... he tells khushi ... " TUMME EGO NAHI HAI KYA ??"

Ok back to the scene in hand ...

superb in its meaning .. & intensity ... Arnav Singh Raizada .. a self made man .. runs a highly successful business ... which he built from scratch ..

DID HE JUST CHALLENGE KHUSHI ... did he goad her into paying for his car repair ... OR DID HE LEAVE A DOOR OPEN .. FOR THEM TO MEET AGAIN ... like he did after the dargah episode ...

Now reflect on the famous OM SHANTI OM dialog i have listed above ... when these lovers met on a starry night in Lucknow .. their fates intertwined ... they were meant to be .. HE WAS LOST In rose bud lips ... she clutched & held on to the man who would complete her ... he let her go that night .. with one regret .. HE DINT KNOW HER NAME ... but the next time he met her .. he made sure she would cross his orbit again ...

Now focus .. was that Arnav's way to find out the girl who had fallen into his axis .. & made him loose his orbit ... The TV report would expose the name of the girl right ... KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA ... 😉😉 ( this is a reflection of layered writing at its best)

YES they both wanted to be with each other .. whether they consciously admitted it to themselves or not ... she kept picking up on his challenges .. ( there is a payal dialog in this episode .. where she says .. USKI WAJAH SE TUMHARA CHAIN CHINN BHI GAYA)

The entire Universe conspired with DM to get these 2 together ... because these 2 wanted to be with each other ...

Perhaps the most revealing dialog of this segment was by Khushi ... " HUM YAHAN GHAR BASANE THODI NA AAYE HAI" ... whoops ... a serious look into KHUshi's mindset 😉 .. hence when i watched the Lucknow leaving episode ... i got the feeling of "bidaai" ... it was bidaai surely ... 😃

PART 2 ---

A few DC's back .. i had asked you .. WAS ARNAV an Aethist .. or was his belief so deeply burried that it did not find space to surface .. & the day he opened his heart .. he let the "faith" inside him come back to life ??

Please reflect on this ...

IPK was a story which had many layers .. if u watched it & understood only the surface layer .. it blew u .. but if u delved deeper & saw the layers below .. u were mind blown by the deepness & correctness of characterisation .. THIS STORY MIGHTVE been a LOVE STORY ... but this LOVE STORY ... was narrated thru the eyes of ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ... ...

Now back to the above segment ...

I so loved the look of Jayashree T ... here her eye make up is less intense .. she looks so much better here ... Loved the Arnav here as well .. he is a 14 year old boy wrapped in a 27 year olds clothes ... the TRUE essence of IPK ... after this episode u will see Arnav go head on head with NANI .. but this episode showed u the true relation, respect & love he felt for her .. which was once again brought out when he comes back from his kidnap track .. do u remember when he asks his nani to make the puri aalo for him or rather Khushi .. he was back to the 14 year old boy ..

The subtle underlying meaning of the picturisation was truly mind blowing ...

Now i would recommend watch this segment closely .. cause the basis of IPK was actually told to us in this episode & this segment ...

let me list the dialog .. u wont need an explanation after that ..

Nani : Jiss raftaar se aap chalat hai .. uss raftaar mein swayam ke alawa sab kuch dhundla nazar aavat hai

Arnav: Nani mujhe sab kuch saaf saaf dikhai de raha hai

Nani: Galat jagah dekh rahe hai aap .. sirf aage nahi .. nazar ghooma ke peeche bhi dekh lijiye .. har peedhi aane waale peedhi ko kuch seekha ke jaat hai ... par raftaar thodi dheemi ho tabhi sahi aur galat ki pehchaan ho

Wasnt this the basis of the MU at IPK ... ??????

Arnav sees Khushi in Shyams arms .. hears her say .. "agar yeh rishta aapke liye kuch mayne hi nahi rakhta toh chhod dijiye Anjali ji ko"

he jumps to conclusion that SHyam & Khushi were having an illicit affair .. which is further fanned by SHyam .. who realises this is the conclusion Arnav reached .. remember Shyam was privy to the growing closeness of Khushi & Arnav .. he knew they were going to be one sooon ...

Arnav quickly ties Khushi to himself ... by marriage ...

Now had he reflected on Nani's dialog ... stopped a moment .. lessened his speed ... he would probably have drawn a parrallel with his DADS life ... what his dad did ...

Cause wasnt SHyam a recreation of Arnav's dad ... ??

Now reflect back to the middle of the road MU clearance by Khushi .. she too tells Arnav .. " par aapko shaadi karne ki itni jaldi thi" ...

Tha base of the IPK MU & the Clearance of the same was listed in this episode ..

Now lets go to the BIG ONE ... the clearance of the MU .. Arnav did not need anyone to prove to him that KHUSHI was innocent .. HIS HEART TOLD HIM THAT ... all he needed was KHUSHI telling him the TRUTH ... she told him the truth .. but at first ARNVAV was still running in the same speed ... the moment he was in seclusion ... when he was kidnapped .. THE moment he got a moment to REFLECT .. & LOOK BACK ... He trusted his KHUSHI ... he connected the dots .. found the parallels ...

Thats the day .. Arnav foumd his faith once again ...

Go 2 the episode when Khushi lies dead in Arnav's arms .. if u notice the back drop .. it is a temple ... he beleives that day that they r one .. a pragmatist .. belives that they can hear each other ... their hearts talk ... he beleived that day .. that there was a DIVINE CONNECTION ...

YES ARNAV FOUND HIS FAITH & BELIEF again that day .. & what did it take ...all it took was for him to slower his pace .. & look back at life ...

So this is Nani's part of the dialog .. now reflect on Arnav' s dialog .. he says he can see things clearly .. YES HE COULD .. he wanted KHUSHI tied to him .. the entire Payash marriage track was all about Arnav's possessive streak ... which culminated on the bed after KHUSHI's faint .. where he told her .. " kahin jaane ki zaroorat nahi hai .. yahin baithi raho"

Yes Arnav saw clearly what he wanted .. & he went after it in his way .. HE TIED HER IN ... but kept a exit clause for himself .. knowing NO WAY IN HELL he would let her GO .. ...

Reflect on the scene when Arnav tells KHUSHi after she wants to leave him... have u thot what u will tell the family ... SO ditto arnav .. when he proposed a 6 month marriage he had no intention of breaking it off .. hence he always pretended ( hardly pretend) that theirs was a LOVE MATCH ... cause Deep down .. ARNAV BELIEVED THEIRS WAS A LOVE MATCH ... ARNAV BELIEVED IN KHUSHI'S INNOCENCE .. hence he thru the series refers to her innocence time & time again ..

NOW the best part of this segment ... immediately after nani & arnav interaction .. anjali comes upon Arnav .. she offers him the kurta ... but then she senses all was not well with Arnav .. she asks him what happened on the way ???

NOW pause here .. since Arnav Pauses here ... he stops to think .. he wants to say a lot has happened .. but he just whispers .. "kuch khaas nahi" ... NOTHING IMPORTANT ... liar liar pants on fire ..

KUCH KHAAS TOH HUA NA ... isiliye u paused ...

This caught me big time .. cause it was just after Nani asking him to pause .. he paused .. he FELT HER .. but he was not yet ready to accept HER ...

PART 3 --

"aapke haath mein chatri hoke bhi aap bheeg gaye

aap yeh apne paas hi rakhiye ... humare paas devi maiya ki chatri hai "

An incredible dialog ... an incredible setting .. an incredibly deep meaning .. the brilliance of this one dialog seriously made me wonder .. just how many layers of IPK did i still have to unearth ..

Yes Shyam Manohar Jha had his "chatri" ... Anjali Jha ... but his greed to amass more .. made him leave the 'shade' of Anjali .. & become vulnerable .. He had Anjali .. he wanted Khushi ... & he wanted both of them at the same time .. but by wanting Khushi .. he left himself open to exposure ..the exposure of his true intent .. his GREED ..

While KHushi did not need Shyam .. she did not need his HELP .. his PROTECTION .. his MONEY ... his ANYTHING .. cause DM .. had given her .. her chatri .. ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ...

Now note .,. whenever Khushi was in need of Money .. she never took the help of Shyam ... but it was always inadvertently Arnav who stepped in & solved her problem ... whether it was Babuji's hospital bill .. whether it was marriage of Payal .. whether it was saving babuji;s shop .. OR WHETHER IT WAS SAVING KHUSHI FROM SHYAM ...

Her own PERSONAL UMBERELLA ... ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ... now when u connect the dots .. doesn't the brilliance of the script writing of IPK blow ur mind away ...

PHEW bahut kuch likh diya ...

But that was the beauty of IPK screenplay writing ... the way the scenes were intertwined with one another .. u know when i sit & reflect now .. i am ashamed at the number of times i pulled up the Direction team on continuity .. TV is a writers medium .. while movie is a directors medium .. YES Direction missed the boat a couple of times on IPK .. BUT .. the story & screenplay .. was down pat .. the continuity maintained was MIND BOGGLING ...

KUDOS .. Team 4 Lions ... this is your BEST YET ...

Third Encounters of the Close Kind:

'Twas a year ago that Director's Cut said Hello Hi to the world of India Forum.

So first of all,

Happy Birthday To Director's Cut.

Party On, Gals!!

On to the episode. Khushi and Arnav clash/bang/collide with each other yet again. This is the third time that they meet/clash/bang/collide.

I always said that in a love story - what makes it special are the experiences that are shared, after that first meeting or moment of awareness. Each experience provides a glimpse or glimpses into the other's character. Each sentence, word and action providing color to each other. As they interact and share their moments together, their understanding of each other grows. Good or bad or ugly - they reveal themselves to each other - and to us the viewers. This is the essence of a love story. How the two arrive at their destination.

Arnav in Khushi's eyes is all about money. His buzzwords are paise and aukat. His demeanor is arrogant. Yet as he drives away - there is a tinge of bitterness in his words

"Khuddari ki baatein bahaut sasti hoti hain, aur paisa bahaut mehnga".

He knows how much value the rest of the world places on money. With nothing to measure her worth against, he for now, lumps her with the rest of the world. One that HIS money can buy. He had yet to understand fully explore the innocence he had glimpsed in her back in Lucknow. But it lurks there under his words as he hands her the money to repair her scooter, holding her hand as he slams the money down. As if it were his right to touch her so casually.

Both have unconsciously focused on the other as someone outside the norm. Someone who is starting to grab their attention. Someone around whom their thoughts are starting to revolve.

Khushi admits "Dilli ne chain cheen liya".

There Akash, in perhaps the only time he shows his understanding of his brother notes: "usne gaadi se zyada Arnav Singh Raizada ke dimaag pe dent kar diya". I always knew Akash Singh Raizada was smart - wish they'd shown it more often. (This is my favourite Akash Singh Raizada dialogue, by the way).

Herein lies the beauty of the writers of IPK. The story of Arnav and Khushi moves forwards, unseen by others, yet intense in each encounter, each meeting pushing up the love-hate factor.

It is also third time that Khushi meets up with Shyam Manohar Jha. Helpful. Suave. Kind. Willing to share her baer. He smooths her way. From Lucknow to Delhi. And now in Delhi, once more he reminds her that he is there at her service.

Unlike the abrasiveness of her encounters with Arnav, her encounters with Shyam are calming, almost soothing. Her agitation with the tycoon is quieted by his calm smile. He ingratiates himself with her, without her realizing it. She is grateful. She needs a friend, he is ready to give her that. So what was the meaning of his cryptic dialog:

"Pata hai kitney jatan karney padey inhe yahan par laaney ke liye? Dilli ka mehman banaaney key liye?"

Yes, he wants to make her Dilli's guest. And Khushi is quite happy with that. She hasn't come to settle down here, she's ready to leave now. If only if it weren't for the money she owed Arnav Singh Raizada and the stupid footage he released to the TV stations and ruined her life!

Trap you ? ... Real-ly?? This livid girl standing in front ... Pointing figures at you?? Her...?? The one wearing this outrageous outfit ...What are those shinny balls hangs off of her ?? And that thing around her shoulder.. What is that... A basta ?? Who wears that???

Now that I look closely... Peach and Red AND ...Green .. Obviously has not heard of Less being more... but still Curious ... Ummm...works if you squint your eyes just right ... Kinda Crazy But Cute ... Call Aman.. Maybe she can help with the next collection... No??? Okay Mr Knowitall...

And what is that she is riding on... Oh I see .. It is a Do Kodi ka scooter...Shouldn't you be asking if she is hurt or anything??? No??? Whatever...

But Look... She is accusing you of Nuksan!!! Saying things like ... Jo app nay kia hai us ki bharpai aap zindigi bhar nahi kar paaigay... Sounds kind of serious ... Shouldn't we at least listen to her?? I mean she does have a reason to be pissed... You did release those tapes after all...and that guy did say Itni badnami hui ki woh Ladki Shair hi chood kar chaligayi...

There you go !!! Explains her presence in Delhi !!! No?? I know ... I know ..I am an idiot!! ... A city of 20 crore... And she bumps into you... on her first day in Delhi...does seem a tad bit suspicious... But these things happen you know...

Maybe... Just maybe the universe is trying to tell you something... That you did wrong by her and that you need to fix it...You did assault her... Rip her pearl thing off... Remember???

Calm down...dude ...No need to snap my head off ... I am just saying what you should be thinking!!! I get it...Raizada...I said I get it... I wont bring up that night again...I know it hits a raw nerve... AND I apologize for saying that universe telling you crap...I know more than you that all that is all hocus pocus BS... I know what you did that night was an aberration... So not you... But isn't that more the reason you should fix it now?? No??? You are pighead!!!

Okay... Raizada ... Lets play along...Coz you are so goddamn rich and hot... I know you've had more than your share of money grubbing ... Gold diggers... But hold on just a moment.. Aren't the aforementioned gold diggers a bit more sophisticated?? A bit more worldly... A tad less Gauche?? And I am being kind here... Just look at her.. Isn't she adorable??? No?? You must be blind!!! Okay ... I know you don't do adorable... But she is really really really kinda sweet... Yes !!! Yes !!! I do remember... you definitely don't do Sweet either!!!

You really are making a scene.. What's gotten into you??? I thought you couldn't tolerate this kind of public drama .. Look around you... Raizada you are in the middle of Delhi traffic ... Spouting words like Paisa... Do Kodi ka scooter.. Aukat... I don't know you any longer... So unlike you!!

Dear Friends

Firstly i would be very thankful to you all for visiting my blog

i have made many friends

but there are things that happen in life

and the best laid plans get thrown away

do to illness i would be out for 6 - 8 months

hence

i wont be able to manage the blog

or the daily motion channel

i hope to recover soon and be able to return

but for now it doesn't look like it.

for now its closure time for me

get my health back

i have had a great time and some very unknow faces became good friends

Congratulation ladies on the 1^st Anniversary of Directors' cut!

Wonderful posts on the first page as always. Here are my two cents mostly on the basis of Ritz's post.

Payback. The loop started here but when was it closed really? 25,000. 100,000. 300. She always volunteered to pay back. She never paid. Did he ever ask? He did not.
