Thanks ARSHI and Durga, Loved that line that remarriage was for some people who have problems with everything. For example you know- a catholic can not marry a protestant and muslims can not marry hindus. So they can go and have a civil ceremony and get married- which is of course valid. Now there are many family members we see who do not agree that this marriage is still a valid.
And as for redemption ARSHI how much more redemption was needed I did not get it. Usually when a couple fight they resolve and move on- they do not compile all the fights of a million hours back unless they want to break their alliance. So if we compile the fight usually they came to a truce afterwards and the mistakes were not repeated. Yes Arnav threatened to break Payash alliance- and for that he endured Khushi's 101 ways to torture ASR, he hurt her during Heer Ranjha and you made my life hell anywat so he took the initiative to break Khushi's silence by writing the letter through a kid and enduring her Swami antics. He hurt her by lying that he was faking illness and so he accompanied her to Gupta house. He hurt her by not believing her in suicide track and so during kidnapping he saved her from that rapist, told her he loved her, and gave himself up to the goons for her; He told her tum meri zndegi mein AaYi Kyun and so made the entire show of celebrating her birthday. Khushi left again to Gupta house and so he brought Gupta house for her, he threatened to tell her parents and evacuate them and so did the entire buying the golgappa and pearls thing, he told her to go out after bringing Shyam and we know how they both apologized. And Khushi was actually doing the same for him. When she upset him with that 101 antics, she cleaned the entire room, When she saw that he was waking at night to just watch her face she pretended to sleep and not notice and came back, when she made him sick she woke up the entire night, when she understood that he was kidnapped by Shyam even before knowing the content of the papers she tried her best to get the papers.
They usually always come to a truce quickly, the longest was I think after he told him tum meri zindegi mein Aayi Kyun for which she left to Gupta house. Lasted a good three weeks. However that is the beauty of our ARSHI they fight and after that they are looking for ways to resolve it. The complexity however comes when he resolves and fights like ASR and she does it as Khushi and they are poles apart. However that is also the reason we love ARSHI and IPK and we are not bored watching them over and over and over again

@ArshiHamesha I agree. The writers were so good at these loops. The audience would go mad wondering what happened or what would happen. @Samin You've explained all the happenings so nicely. They have been fighting and making up in their own way. Very well put.

hi all,

oooh i love this shadi wala discussion. love the temple wedding. consider it completely valid. have actually tried to find from net and other sources if this has validity i india. interestingly, given the circumstances, including the 6 months of cohabiting without anyone (family, neighbours) asking any questiona, etc., yes, it is valid. plus, asr said, twice, she was his legally wedded wife... chances are that's true.

the second one could have been a beautiful private reaffirmation... the need for mega wedding with him being taken to temple... uh huh i didn't get it. yes, we had some fab scenes thanks to it, but oh what belittling of a beautiful wedding. i want to write a story about it some day. but will i ever be able to capture sanaya barun's khushi asr? their passion turmoil heat love agony desire anger sexual pull, everything.

long ago, very troubled by this second marriage, i'd written a post and had some real interesting people popping in and giving their opinions. if you wish to see, here's the link.

Indi, just read your post mentioned above and also some of the comments. You've really written everything that I felt in detail. Some of the comments were interesting too. Really, by conducting the second marriage, the sanctity and purity of the first one is discarded and so is the relationship status of Arshi during the 6 months. I want to quote these lines from the post -
you may ask so what's the legal status of the marriage? my little reading tells me that the gandharva practice of hindu marriage (one of eight practices, all legally acceptable under certain circumstances) which requires not much more than a private ceremony between two people is still considered valid as long as there's evidence in the form of pictures and/or a period of cohabitation between the couple and acceptance by the family and neighbours of the marriage itself. in case some one wishes to challenge this, the onus is on them to prove the marriage is not legal. if the things i mentioned earlier exist, the law tends to judge in favour of maintaining not destroying the marriage
Even I was thinking of the Gandharva practice where the rituals are minimal, usually just exchanging of garlands. But, I had doubts if that practice is valid in today's times. Thanks for letting know that it is legally acceptable.

Hi Indi and Durga, All,
I have to say that I am going to disagree with you. I wanted a second wedding but I will say that all the rituals for the first wedding were performed although not in the normal circumstance.
I do believe that most probably they did consider this a legal marriage but after Nani told Kushi about what she considered the true legalities of marriage, the pheres, Kushi went into freak out mode. Kushi herself did not believe they were "legally" married and did they actually chant or speak the vows that should be spoken during pheres?
True, she felt bound to him as his wife, otherwise why would she continue to wear the mangalsutra and sindor after leaviing his home? Their marriage was consummated the night before their actual "legal" wedding, Kushi would never have done that unless she did feel she was truly married and Arnav himself said to Kushi that he truly considers her his wife when they visited the garden.
I think the whole wedding was done to please Kushi who is all for rituals, tradition and custom and bravo to ASR for showing his love for her by agreeing to it. I loved it, wanted to see it and was very happy in the end that it was a very private ceremony. Missed the suhaag grat though!

I always think of him as the Sun as he is "Dhoop sa"😉 but i like this other demention as he is cool beautiful blue waters underneath (but its not always calm b/c the storms like Khushi do tend to rais the tides 🤣). The whole line on Shiva, 👏 and there are no excuses for his anger, its there, it make him him as you say. just wish they stay consistent with that towards the end...sigh. Season 2, we must bring anger back!!! lets make that a priority pleeej. Love the comparison of hotwa and slimeball...so true and OH!!! good one hi-fi!

Okay Indi I really need for you to explain to me succinctly why he thinks of her as agold digger? Why does she feel she wants money? Is it his misconception from the first episode? Did she ever make him believe she was out for the money? I am really perplexed by this. Otherwise amazing as always. Hatesss Ssshyam, sssnake!

Nice light take above. the dream sequence was hillarious, complete with buaji, one of my faves😃 all in blue stuck out for me, ❤️ what you said in purple. La's bafooness more irritating but just gonaa try to ignore till she has some common-sense back. Mami's reaction to her blonde moments are a hoot to watch though!

OMG Sohara I just LOVE the Holi episode! Your review was fantastic and you had me chuckling with some of your comments!! Loved it!👏
