Dear Mr. Gupta,

Would like to share some thoughts on the phenomenon that is IPKKND. It is not every day that one comes across a show making history on Indian television, but I can assure you IPKKND has made just that, HISTORY!!!

Never in the history of Indian television has a hindi soap caught the imagination of people's minds from around the globe as IPKKND has. IPKKND is not just a show to many of its fans, it has become a religion. People live & breathe IPKKND. People have spent many a waking hours analyzing, discussing, thinking and yes even dreaming about the show.

So you can well imagine after reaching such heights, the utter dismay of the fans to see such an epic show being deliberately neglected by its makers for months on end. Things have become so bad lately, the creators of this show seem to be deliberately, letting this show glide into oblivion with utter mindless OTT comedy routines for its female lead. Repeated request for better & sensible tracks have fallen on deaf ears to the point the makers of the show put up an Open Letter to it's viewers saying that "the show has run its course" and to send them ideas for future tracks. Which were instantly given by the loyal viewers which have been ignored so far.

People have invested a lot of equity, both financial & emotional in this show. So it hurts them immensely to see their beloved show being given such a step-motherly treatment by its makers. Things have gotten so bad that the show's heart & soul a.k.a. male protagonist (Barun Sobti) has decided to "take a break" indefinitely.

In light of all this, we as loyal viewers would like to request you to step in and help salvage this show and retain Barun under the helm of a new PH who would be sensitive to the demands of the show's storyline, characters & the likes & dislikes of its viewers.

As Barun Sobti has clearly asked for some leave to take rest, take care of his health & spend time with his wife & family, please make it possible for him to get his much deserved rest so that he can come back to the show with a bang being well rejuvenated.

Please also bring back all the original supporting cast who were meted out a raw deal by the PH of this show as they will bring back the wholesome effect the show had before.

Hoping to hear some positive news soon.

The only message from my side:

Please retain Barun at any cost...if required change the PH. I want to see only Barun as ASR with Sanaya a.k.a Khushi. If it is really not possible to retain Barun, please end the show with SARUN on a happy note.

I'm sure you are aware of the huge fan following for the show IPKKND, its lead actors (Barun & Sanaya) and the entire cast. We viewers have been let down by the PH which shows in the way the actors of the show have quit and left a beautiful love story incomplete and will have a shoddy end probably.

Our request to you is bring back Barun, (a channel such as yours can definitely strike a good deal with fantabulous actor like him to woo him back and retain him), Akshay, Deepali & Abhaas. We as viewers can foresee that this team will work wonders if given good tracks. So please do everything possible in your capacity to revive this epic show with the original actors esp. Barun.

Please Sir...pass on the reigns of the drama to another competent production house, retain Barun and Sanaya as the leads, bring back all the old cast and crew who left the show and please continue on the show for another 1-2years with good storylines and plots.

Thank you for airing such an epic drama for the past year in Star Plus and for bringing to me a once in a lifetime show everyday at 8pm for me to fall in love with it everyday and not even miss a rerun of it. Millions of us breathe, sleep, dream, speak only about Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon everyday. Thats how special and close to us the drama is. We are unable to see the show without Barun as Arnav...and this is how we would fight if Sanaya was the one actually leaving the show. I hope you would give all the viewers a good news very soon!

P.S. Please do take a look at the Forum32 open letter if you have the time. You would understand why fans are angry towards the PH 4 Lions and want a change of PH.

in addition, what PH would publicly declare that the story has run its course. also, sidelining the most important aspect of the show Arnav and Khushi's love being ridiculed. what kind of story line is the PH following?

please sir, you can make the difference. we, the fans have created history. please help us

I am an international viewer, a mom and working professional. I have not watched Indian serials for the last 15 years.I accidentally bumped into the show Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon and started watching online and then subscribed to Dish Network USA to get the Hindi Super Pack. I'm paying 40$/month just to watch IPKKND.

This show has touched and inspired people in different ways. On a global scale kept us close to home, our culture. So I'm extremely disappointed that half of the cast is leaving and the show is falling apart. I don't know who is responsible for this but the PH seems disinterested in continuing the show and the set and cast's wardrobe is getting worse day by day.

Its also not just a show, there is whole another world on Facebook and India Forums, You Tube, Daily Motion. People have been inspired to do things they have never done in their lives, edits, VM's, write FF, OSes, poetry, networked. People have invested more time and effort on the show than the 20 minutes of the show.

On the web you will see enormous amount of pages dedicated to this show. I can easily equate the obsessiveness of this show to TWILIGHT, Harry Potter etc.So you have golden goose in your hand that you are killing softly.

Please investigate the issues with the show and take necessary action. Please reinstate the entire cast i.e Akshay Dogra, Deepali Pansare, Barun Sobti and other actors and bring glory back to the show.

If Barun Sobti has to leave PLEASE END THE ARNAV AND KHUSHI LOVE STORY LEAVING FANS SOME BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES.You can continue the show with a parallel track. But please don't ruin an epic love story.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our views.

I am in love with this show. I never thought that one day I would be so crazy about a fictional character that I will again and again write to channel to save our show. I am a working professional and don't have time to watch soaps. IPKKND is the only show which I watch. This show is different from regular saas bahu soaps.

Believe it or not but this show has changed my perception about Indian television shows. This is not just a show for most of us. It has become a part of our lives. People are learning Hindi just to watch this show. Thousands of us have been inspired to write fan fictions, poetry, and many others are making amazing Video Mixes (VM's). This show has changed millions of lives.

I am extremely upset because half of the original cast has already left the show. It is really heartbreaking to see that production house is ruining such a beautiful love story. This a fairlytale love story for all the fans of IPKKND across the globe.

Arnav and Khushi (Barun and Sanaya) are the soul of this show. No one other than Barun Sobti can play the role of Arnav. We just can't see anyone else taking Arnav's place. Barun is a talented actor and we love him.

Barun deserves a break. I am not against it. We all need break from our work. But we never quit our work just because we need a break? In all his interviews he said he needs a break. I am not sure why Star Plus and Production house has an issue with it.

4 lions is the worst production house. In forum 32 they openly said that "they are run out of ideas" really??????? They have done the same thing with their another show Geet hui sabse parayi.. I guess at that time fans did not protest. But let me tell you that IPKKND is a different show and this time we won't let you take us on a ride.

One of your creative head compared Arnav (Barun Sobti) with Gopi Bahu (Gia Manek) which I think is insult to all the fans of this show. You should never compare. IPKKND has a international fanbase. The way Star plus has handled things from the last few days it has really disappointed its viewers.Customers are the boss. If we can make your channel number 1 then we can take it to the bottom also.

Here's my request to you.

1) Please retain Barun Sobti and original cast (Akshay,Deepali, Abhaas, Mamaji etc).

2 Change the production house. We will never watch any show by this production house.

If you are unable to retain Barun then please end this show with Barun and Sanaya only and give it a graceful ending.

4) Don't make mockery of such a good show. No need for unnecessary tracks. It's a love story, bring the magic back.

I know you can make a difference and I hope you will not disappoint the fans of this show.

i am an iss pyar ko kya naam doon's viewer from u.k. i have indian serials on and off some time but never followed them until ipkknd came. i do not know what happen to me ...i am a buiness woman and mother of three grown up kids...ipkknd is a story which every body want to happen to them or their sons and daughters...its like a breath of fresh air...in love stories people do fall in love with characters and their faces as well...same thing happen with ipkknd...we did fall in love with arnav and khushi but also with barun and sanaya

in our mind we can not separate barun from arnav and sanaya from khushi...some stories rise above their creators...same happen with ipkknd...it was simple love story...but some times simple thing becomes important in our lives ...and other thing how ph handled the serial is bit dodgy ...how they build up the story ..how they butchering the story now is not acceptable ...how they handle thier main lead and support cast also is not acceptable

...we want entire cast back...and ipkknd back to its full glory...we know that it can still happen with right ph and with its original writers...if star plus intervene then this beautiful love story will remain a beautiful...otherwise our hearts will be broken and will never mend

WE WANT BARUN SOBTI BACK AS ARNAV AND THIS BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY BACK TO ITS FULL GLORY...I HOPE YOU AND STAR PLUS WILL TAKE THE RIGHT DECISION

dear sir am writing behalf of NEWZEALAND fans .sir me and my friends subscribed SP only for ipkknd. We all love this show because of sarun .but now days we are all very disheartened and unhappy with the PH even SP also not giving any clear ans. We were shocked with the PH open letter on fr-32 about running out the course about the show. We hat all this off screne politics.please sir retain BS .end the show with sarun . If BS gonna to leave show will dead. Change the PH. We just want our BARUN SoBTI back. If he quit we all decide to unsubscribe the channel.
