Your theory looks quite correct. If Arav was Arnav's son, and if she wanted to avoid telling Aarav about it, she would have never stayed in RM. As per spoilers she would tell khushi not to tell Arnav about it , it could be for 2 reasons
1. Arnav and sheetal never slept together .
2. She wants to influence khushi about sheetal's selfless love so that khushi may also get induced to do the same...
