For me more than the inconsistency in the character, the track is the real culprit. Because Khushi's character has been deformed earlier too. We have seen that during the contract marriage track before the kidnapping. One day she'd be all worried about why ASR married her, and next day she would start with her OTT comedy. After Heer-Ranjha act, there were couple of brilliant episodes when Khushi tried to stay away from ASR, and him missing her; and immediately they started the whole 'Swami' act. Her character has changed along with the sudden turns in the track several times.
ASR's character was consistent for long time though, and recently they have changes that too. Earlier we all got the impression that the whole suhaag raat thing was a joke ,and he was only trying to annoy Khushi. That's what came across through his smirks and 'yeh ladki to bilkul paagal hai'. And suddenly he became serious. The comedy in those episodes is all of a sudden replaced by the drama this week, and the remarriage talks. We knew that Khushi's concern will lead to them going through all the customs, but this whole drama was certainly unexpected. And guess we are in for some more drama by Garima's reaction today. Suddenly, Shyam is also back in the picture.
Basically, sometimes nothing is happening in an episode, and sometimes everything is happening at once. Thanks God, at least Anjali is not crying about Chhote-Khushiji's love now. But wasn't she crying and all sad when she ran into Buaji at the hospital? I was preparing myself for some more fast forwarding in the next episode, but nothing of that sort happened. Though I am glad about it, there are many such loose ends. It seems like the CV's bank their ideas for the future, and if they have accumulated ore than they can handle, they bombard us with all they have.
