A lot of people have said what I want to say in a much more eloquent way, so I will keep this short.

Yes, Barun is not the best actor ever, but he is the best actor on hindi TV right now. His performance has nuances, subtlities, that you can dissect and analyze, his eyes are very expressive and he does know how to emote a myriad of emotions just through his eyes, and yes, he has that X-factor, that extra oomph, that makes me turn in to watch this show everyday even when the plot is crappy and stale.

Another thing that must be said is I have seen Barun grow leaps and bounds as an actor over the span of the last 1 year. When IPKKND started out, I thought he was the weakest link of the cast, but as time passed, I could see his growth as an actor, I could see how he slowly but surely started to outshine everyone else. For example, when the show started out, Barun's IF ranking used to be in the 20s or 30s I think, and gradually he climbed the chart and now he is on top, his was a slow and steady rise, not an overnight rise to fame, just like his growth as an actor.

I will also say that Barun is first and foremost a director's actor. He has said it himself and it shows how his performance is different when Lalit Mohan was directing him compared to Arshad directing him now. Yes, I do think LM knew how to extract the best out of Barun as far as ASR's mannerisms, the way he walks, the way he carries himself, etc. are concerned. No complains on the emotions front though.

All in all, Barun is the best of the lot on hindi TV right now, but that doesn't mean there is no scope for improvement, of course he has the potential to be much better and reach much higher. Here's to that!

P.S Yes, he can act better than Salman Khan. Bas keh diya.😆

RC now is the time to portray that stone face and stone wall at the same time😊

Views and observations are indeed commendable, welcomed and leads to a healthy debate one would hope in all earnestness

With BS's rather emotive face it would be rather difficult to call him 'stone faced'😆

I am still searching for where you may have unwittingly posted such a comment...yet to find it

I believe the stamp of 'not for the faint heart' must have been enough to keep them away. Don't change your stance for those who never understood it in the first place.

Its one thing to be a fan and be supportive and its totally another to be a blind one at that. When I follow an actor, I tend to always criticise them, because I feel they have potential and can improve all the time. Does that make me a hater or a basher, absolutely not.

So I'm a little surprised when people say Barun is the best actor in Tellywood and Bollywood. Comeon people we all love Barun, but if you dont appraise his skills fairly you are not being fair on him and his potential. If fans dont push the actors they support, who will inspire these actors to perform better?

Are you seriously saying that Barun is better than Aamir in Lagaan when he encourages each of the villagers to become a part of the team. gives them hope and encouragement? Or is he better than SRK (I'm not a big fan of his, but still) in Chak De, when at the end he walks with his mother back in the street of his old home, with his head held high. Or is is he better than the great Amitabh Bachchan in Black when he pushes the little girl to get over her anger and get her to open up to him?

Barun has potential and can do well, but its also true he has a long way to go. None of these actors were fantastic from Day 1. So lets admit that with time, and effort Barun will get better. But labelling him as the best actor ever is unfair to him. If fans dont push an actor, where is the scope or inspiration for development?

I don't think Barun can be / or should be compared to Aamir or SRK simply for amount of work they've done and the years of experience they've had.

But when Barun is compared to his Bollywood contemporaries, I do feel he's better than many. Most of the actors that have joined Bollywood in the last 4-5 years are either starkids or models...are they really all that good in terms acting?

Would some of them have made it big if they didn't have a particular surname?

Does being a BW actor automatically make one talented?

How many actors ( from a non-film background) have made a debut in BW in the last 5 years by passing an audition?

Siggie reactions mostly depends on the definition of 'angels and demons' and which side you stand😉. So I am not amused at the reaction. Poor black kettle and pot, they are friends. Don't MU them pleez. Being an IPK fan you are not entitled for any more MUs.
