and yes as i said for him she is only a conquest...a girl had to get but yup someone who is probably attracted to him and probably loves him...and he loves the fact that she can be the challenge he win easily...not using his non existent brain and twisted affection but using his money!!!

Many viewers of the show wait for Monday...but i am still smarting with the way he kept taunting her "smile... smile"

Apparently the CV's are aware of their BABY shall we say...you know I started disliking this character when he threw her out...even gopi vahu got to sleep on the floor in a room and khushi was chucked out...what was the response??it is not that cold...and then harvard slept outside one night and he was brought back inside...why???

i dont think he knows what love is...attraction and lust yes but not love...what he is showering to willow is weird at best and cringeworthy at the least...and to khushi he alternates between hate and love...the guy is so hot and cold it is difficult to keep track...

I am not waiting for monday at all...i am watching this show as just a person who is bored and nothing much to do...it is easier that way

You are right. Everyone has taken Hegde's word which is why the TRPs are so good. Perhaps we should all stop watching the show and then the TRPs will fall below 2.0 and then IPK will be closed for good.

Okay I don't even remember what this topic was about! I just want to say stop associating the word "bashing" with any post you don't like. Its the most overused word on IF these days. It probably started with the PH and writers who post here saying fans are bashing the show. I've praised aspects of the show PLENTY of times in the past. And if I'm not liking something I'm seeing now, I will not hesitate to say it.

Vibha, I love and commend you for having the patience to reason with some people...I'm not going to bother anymore but you ARE awesome! Naach_Basanti, uniquebluerose, and others...I loved reading your responses, makes me feel sane!

Those who love the current track - continue loving it.

But lets not hide our head in sand and assume this is how greatest love stories are made.

IPKKND is a PG-13 version of 50 Shades of Grey. In the latter book, the lead uses sexual sadomasochism to control and dominate the heroine, who finds excitement in her slave role.

In IPK, the hero dominates the heroine with his wealth and arrogance. Yesterday, I found it so sad when he made her act like a TV for a deal. In 50 shades the guy makes her beg in the bedroom.

To me sexual politics are always distasteful. However, if the writers want to show this then label it as such. Thats what we are doing here. There is a great big audience for 50 shades of grey - I will not pass judgment on them. They love the "masala" in the book. So is there a great big audience for the sexual games and relationship politics of IPK. I wont pass judgment on them either.

So lets agree to disagree. Whoever does not agree with TM's pov and the responses is welcome to ignore the post, or provide a logical cogent explanation of why they love the current track. But please keep your rage and frothing spit to yourself. I only have one tissue to wipe my face.

Hugs to you for this post Smriti! I understand there is an audience who finds this sort of dominating/submissive relationship between a couple exciting and enjoyable. That was evident when I saw many girls asking for a husband like ASR, whose controlling and possessive nature is apparently a sign of true love to them. I personally do not like or share their way of thinking. They have probably not been in any mature relationships if this is their idea of love. I don't want to generalize but that's just my opinion...and they are entitled to their opinions.

If we put aside the "hotness" of the leads and the precap, and just look at the story and role the female character played yesterday, it was quite insulting. But then people will say I'm being too serious and this is just fiction and blah blah blah. Why do millions of fans around the world bother discussing fiction, be it books or movies or tv shows, with so much passion? Should we stop talking about it all together? Okay now I'm done.

I liked it too...because Sanaya was cute and entertaining in that act. But I didn't like the idea behind it...sorry don't know if that makes sense, its early here! 😆

i lubs you no matter what because i know you re.

and i laughed too, it was entertaining because the leads did a good job. however, the endemic issues of the relationship got swept under the rug.

the premise - khushi danced like a puppet to ASR's order so she can provide a roof over her family's head - is distasteful. ASR knows he is doing it to make her understand, but she doesn't. And to make woman feel her poverty time and time again is not how great love stories are made. Remove poverty and make that fatness. Reminding a girl time and time again to feel bad for her fatness/looks is not how great love stories are made. So if we remove poverty and plug fatness/looks in its place, it makes everyone cringe right? Well, to the poor poverty is uglier than ugly looks.

chalo, koi baath nahi this is a show. so we know where to draw the line.
