Truly, Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon? I am glad that Khushi here acts sensible unlike the reel one. But then she had been hacked to death. Butchered by the indifference of the CVs. ASR's style of "wooing" if you can call that wooing is nothing better than manipulation, taking advantage of a poor girl's misfortune. Wooing is supossed to be romantic. You are sweep the woman off her feet with your love and not force her to do your bidding. Also, I would like to know what according to some is the true definition of a basher? Anybody who refuses to tow the line is labelled as a basher here on this forum. If by being a true fan, you mean blindly idolizing them, worshiping the ground they walk on then somebody needs to smell the coffee ASAP. I know this is a fiction but one must always stand up for what is right. Women are considered second sex. The "other". If you as a woman don't respect another woman and show solidarity with her and speak up against the injustice meted out to her, how can you expect men being respectful to us- the womankind. As they say, " Charity begins at home" 😊

I disagree, I find it very entertaining and unique. Ofcourse Khushi is also a very crazy, feisty girl so she needs a equally unique wooing. Also, it would be odd for Asr to be out of character. I am thoroughly enjoying his wooing style although it is not something I would care to happen in real life.

the reason such logics are being ignored because most of the audience are obsessed with ARHI's romance, kiss, on the whole their physical intimation which the CVs are showing in bits and pieces and very rare which makes this type of audience crave for such scenes and when they get it (including me, even I was fascinated over yesterday's precap, but when I such logical issues raised, i cant resist to comment) people go gaga over talking only about SARUN/ARHI"s sexiest chemistry that sets the screen on fire.

But nevertheless there are few posts including this which raised some logical questions which I wish CVs read and put some sense in the show to upgrade the quality of the story. Because in my opinion, the audience are obsessed because till now the love track has not shown fully bet the leads that may lead to their consummation, once that is shown, I am sure many will talk about such logical issues that you have raised here.

But I liked it, it is a very genuine question that CVs should analyse and act.

I dont understand, why do people expect so much to happen? The cast and crew do accept criticism but not to the extent where there's hate messages going to the writers or the actors that's not acceptable under any circumstance.

I agree fully. that does not mean one should take personally but the criticism should beconstructive and in such a way that CVs and Production team should see that an opportunity for improvement or make things better that will entertain the audience. Everywhere there is always a scope of improvement or betterment, but the criticism should not be rude and impolite.

Agreed. To point out the poverty and make her tow the line - do as I say- no matter what he wants to "show" her, is not the way to proclaim love! It's subservient, and THAT is not love. Time and again he degrades her with something or another and she just takes it. It is unrealistic to say the least that any human being would take so much s--- from another even if they were in love. There have been a myriad of instances where the CV's could have taken the story lines somewhere else. But I guess we are where we are. And of course we'll continue to watch because we do want the two to get together. We do want him to feel and apologize to her for what he has done. I don't think the CV's would just ignore that. I mean after 250 episodes, they wouldn't just let it fizzle, or would they? Having said that, there were instances in the last epi that I enjoyed, barring the fact that he was controlling her, because he has $ and she doesn't. Sanaya's performance was impeccable. She is actually the best!

I know it's not the right way but you need to understand this is his character and this is who he is.

Thanks for calling out this fake wooing track, which I feel is one of the sillier things the creatives have come up with of late.

When Arnav told himself that he has 12 days to win Khushi's heart again, I was expecting a possessive and passionate courtship. Yes, being ASR, it would be very intense, maybe borderline overwhelming, but still, would be recognizable as 'wooing'. That was what I expected, at least!!

What did we get? An Arnav coming out all guns blazing, in a blatant display of dominance, aggression and control. You know, when people say All's fair in love and war--the implication is not to treat Love as a War by other means!!

Arnav's purported 'wooing style' reminded me of a phrase--"Rough Wooing" coined to describe the England--Scotland wars in the 16th century. The English King waged years of war to force the Scots to agree to a marriage between his son and their princess. You know what the Scots were reported to have said?

"We liked not the manner of the wooing, and we could not stoop to being bullied into love"

"I lyke not thys wooyng."

😛😉

Seems familiar? Is it so hard to imagine Khushi feeling the same way about the indignities she is subjected to, in the name of this 'courtship'?? I earnestly request the IPKKND creative team, For Devi Mayya's sake, to start with the genuine redemption and wooing track instead of this one!!

You know I realised one thing that everyone may interpret wooing as different according to their exprience...but the common theme is to please a person so that he/she may start seeing you in different light and may fall for you.
When I first heard about wooing track I was like you thinking a passionate but proper wooing...by that I do not mean no kissing or hugging, heck I am all for it...but instead I get underhanded blackmail of a rich man so that his wife do his bidding so to speak...
If we look at khushi's point of view then I bet she must be thinking so this man loves me and wants me to be TV because I dont want to be his wife due to the big fat contract that he just reminded me two days back...hmmm...so how about clearing that air first??? then I know many will say oh but please that is ASR...ofcouse he wont do things conventially...fair enough but even this unconvential wooing is not working out...
What I would like is for these two to talk for once for a change... and I mean a decent talk...in every show main leads talk what is stopping these two? and then clear the air...but then again to do that the darn CV's have to use their rusted brain and that my friend is a chore in itself...
love your post though😉

This post is for my dear friends who think we are being unreasonable and extremely critical about the show. This is for them who don't mind the mindless tracks, indifferent character butchering as long as they get their daily dose of 'hottie'and 'Sarun' Rabba Veying, that is "romancing". We all know that art imitates life. And vice versa. So there must be a common ground where reel and real becomes one. Now you as a woman who is independent, sensible and with a mind of your own, how would you like if your husband/boyfriend/partner manipulates you every step of the way, humiliates you in fron of all and sundry. Accuses you of seducing his BIL, basically hurls insults and accusations without a second consideration. Rips your dignity, butchers your character and leaves you bleeding, mentally, physically and emotionally drained. After all this, he comes and forcibly feeds you a piece of cake to celebrate your birthday and wants you to be his wife in every sense of the word. Tries to "woo" you by twisting your arm. What would you do girls? In India sadly there are many such sadistic men which is why " domestic Violence" is rampant out here. And sadly women do agree to those atrocious barbaric terms out of social pressure. Now what kind of message are we sending into society? Bear everything because your husband loves you in his own sweet way as and when he wishes. Khushi had been going through a lot of mental and emotional torture and in some degrees physical too. Arnav 's cave man tactics of shoving and pinning and twisting your arm literally would be considered Domestic Violence. Any kind of "force" is a big no no. I enjoy the arrogant devil of hero in ASR too but he should draw a line somewhere. I want the old story line back where the spunky khushi never shied away from giving him a piece of her mind. ASR was a man and she his conscience and after a heavy duty struggle He did what his conscince told him as right. I want them back. Not the caricatures please.
