Honestly when i look back ekta phase was not that bad. Today if we see middle class girl falling in love with her boss who is a rich buisinessman, this concept was started by EKTA in all BALAJI SERIALS . Anurag Basu cried madly and repented when he knew that he is the father of the child prerna is nurturing. He also shouted at prerna before, been rude but redemption track was awesome.Love without redemption doesnt look good evenif its a character like ASR, Common he is a human being not an alien from Jupiter.

I agree and the best bit was her actress were damn gutsy...even that meek Bani was spunky and she wanted revenge...and how!!!!! Every redemption track as you said was brilliant and the best bit was the heroine never gave in...now thats my type of girl...
Correct, love without redemption doesnt look good...honestly when you love someone you will not hurt that person period...and if you did unintentionally then you will repent and regret..not smirk and look cool...
There was this movie long time back cannot remember the name but it had Priety Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in it...very good movie, she gets pregnant by him and he refuses to acknowlege the child, anyway long story short, in the end he repents and wants her back and the best thing she said was that she is glad he has changed, she is genuinly happy for him but she doest trust him and love him anymore...so she cannot be with him and he walks away sadly...another one was Arth where Ms Azmi says to her husband that would you have taken me back and he says no so she responds then she wont take him back either...
Even Anzaam...Madhuri nursed Shahrukh back so that she can get rid of him...he loved her in his own way and had she married him he would have looked after her...but she just didnt give in...thats what I want khushi to be like..a spunky woman who can be on her own without a man...

Bravo .. u put across my feelings very well.
That film of preity-Saif was KYA KEHNA directed by Kundan shah.
Redemption enhances the story since it makes way for emotional story line.
If they dont want to show ASR guilty fine,Then we have to put him at par with shyam. ASR cant be considered the male lead then.
I agree to all ur movie examples.Arth was fabulous.Madhuri in Anjaam is my fav since she does that violent act with full conviction. I loved even sailaab. In TV kashish from kahin to hoga took so may revenges to protect her love.
Let me tell a very clear thing people are telling ASR loves khushi but his character doesnt allows him to bend in front of a lady. OK if this is the case it means it is his EGO.
so is EGO a good thing to be proud of??? that all are defending ASR tactics even if his intentions are right. So if anybody tells its not EGO, then i wud ask what is it?? It can be either Pure love with Guilt or Love with Ego. Arnav is basically in Love with Ego. So is it very proudest achivement???
Pure love cant coexist with Ego because being in love is such a feeling that a person doesnt cares being a servant, being ignored by the partner. If ASR gets angry at being ignored, he is not in pure love state,

I want to ask Cv's
sticking to character is more important or to change character and showing a redemption to justify the emotions.??
Saving TRP's is more important or to have EGO against audiences wanting redemption?

If u notice bade acche lagte hai had risen to a good spot in TRP charts after a heavy downfall in past few months.
Reason. Ram Kapoor redemption track showing him realising his mistakes he did to Priya.
The TRP rose like anything. The message is clear.
