Worst crime from my point not treating adults as adults and allowing them choices instead making decisions on their behalf and all for the wrong reasons.

I think it is not reaIIy about anjaIi , ,he is shown to be rich and infIuentiaI he had many choices other than this forced wedding

I think he is just insecure about the fact that she Ioves somebdy eIse and he is hiding behind this duty to his sister

It is jealousy and not anger entireIy

If you see in today episode he didn't want to Iet her go , so it is not entireIy guiIt it is pIain jeaIousy

Same with khushi as she is not aware f his intensions she is hiding behind her duty towards her sister and it is not chiIdishness entireIy

Where they are making the mistake , is they are ignoring the very person they assume to protect, anjaIi,

In coping up with their insecutities and feeIing for each other

Hey Annie .. wondering if I should continue ... just saw posts mushrooming that the MU is clearing ... hmmm ... it's too close to my arc ... kinda started it cause we were all wanting to clear the MU ... but if the CVs are addressign it .. shall I let it be ... see where they take it?

Are you serious? This is rather shocking to me as it is news to me. To have a lifelong mate who will possibly take on the most profound role in the creation of children and to be viewed in this manner is appalling

deadly ... and not talking generations back either ... when it's drilled into a lad's head that "true" family is blood and wives will never love them as much as the family ... blah blah .. puke puke ... disgusted!

Hello people...Love the discussion today..

I've always felt that SP tends to exaggerate family bonds too much. It's always been shown that a man puts his mother, father etc before his wife. In places like India however this probably seems normal to the majority of the demographic watching. But for people like me in the West, it's usually a tad unbelievable.

I have family principles and duties as much as the next person, but dramas tend to glorify how girls especially should sacrifice their own happiness for the sake of such duties. They might have a positive moral of the story yes, but it doesn't mean that all girls should copy these leads completely.

Even Sanaya urges girls to not be like Khushi!

Thank you Aaliyah and yes I concur it is a good discussion.
Have to agree with you that demographics do seem to make a difference reading some of the responses on the IF. Not all but some definitely.
Dramas are hopefully for pure entertainment nothing more nothing less and not for mimicking in one's life. O wait wait its an excellent subject for pontification😆

ASR is suffering from fear factor of the most basal kind. He already half suspects his wife of infidelity but his fear in confronting her is that his worse nightmare may become a reality hence leaving him no room to manourve! Anjali needs protecting? I need to sit down better still let me lie down😕

Phew Annie, I am 8 pages too late and haven't read all the responses but if you are referring to the issues as they pertain to the show, (esp because on the forum we can primarily only talk about the show!!), if we leave aside the weak and at times absurd and barely plausible characterisation and inconsistent and sloppy story telling, there is a lot that is unknown to us.

We know that both Anjali and Arnav were orphaned at a vulnerable age and the way this happened seems to be shrouded in some mystery. Also it seems they endured severe hardship at the hands of relatives being thrown out on to the street when they were children. I also seem to think based on flash backs, that Anjali was going to be married before and that is in some way related to their parents demise. It is likely that this bro and sis became so entwined and enmeshed as a result, to such an extent that they are struggling to disentangle now . Arnav, doesnt seem to have cared for anyone apart from his di until now.

As far as love (I assume you mean romantic love) is concerned, Arnav has been immensely attracted to Khushi yes but he is only just falling in love and he is caught between the devil and the deep blue sea!! He is yet to make his choice really, at least that is what I feel. People do indeed have this dilemma in real life too and I have no answer really, I dont think there is a right answer to this question. seen people make either choice, duty or love, some are happy, some are not. So I dont know.😃

And of course everything is blown out of proportion in reel life, poetic licence or should I say dramatic license!! Inspite of that, your question is most interesting and pertinent, rather more than our usual preoccupation with Barun's long and greasy hair or his(lack of) muscles!!😃
