Ok can i join the soon to be senior citizen of the forum group too. Lol... anyways coming to your post there are too many medical related things that bug the heck outta me but i ignore them coz you cant expect these writers to do some research before naming some medical issue. I assume that they just bring in a medical element to to put some x factor in the show and hype up a situation. Just take a look at the forum, Arnav fainted and 90% of the forums is after Khushi with chappal, belan, jhadu, tomatoes and eggs. So CVs mission accomplished!!!!
Mistakes in a show isn't a problem only in indian show. when i used to live with my parents my mom and i used to watch general hospital and ER (american shows) and point at least 10 things in each show that were medically or procedure wise incorrect. And trust me there were always more than 10.
So bottom line is just let it be when u see such mistakes laugh about it enjoy the show and dont let them irritate u.

Hi everyone,

as much as I liked todays' episode, the CVs once again messed up on this diabetes thing-they did it before when arnav passed out the first time. know this post is kind of long, but appreciate it if you guys read it and comment😊
First things first, there are two types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 usually happens in childhood, and type 2 usually associated with older age and obesity. There are exceptions but this is the general rule.
Arnav is young and thin, this make it very unlikely he has type 2 diabetes. He just doesn't fit the picture. However, I doubt he is Type 1 diabetic because he is shown taking pills. Usually in type 1 diabetics, your body doesn't make insulin so you are required to be on insulin injections. You can't get by wtih pills. So once again, arnav doesn't fit this category.
so, point #1-cvs what kind of diabetes does arnav have?
Coming to the next point-arnav supposedly didn't take his meds today. The meds are used to lower blood sugars, therefore, not taking his meds we can assume that his blood sugar is high. In most cases, you don't pass out with high blood sugar (unless it is severely high as initial presentation in type 1 diabetes-called diabetic keto acidosis). So giving him the sugar should have not made any difference.
Also, say for example if he did become hypoglycemic-pt with long time diabetes usually have some hints that there sugar is low before they pass out-for example: they get sweaty or have shakes and have enough time to eat something sweet
At the end of this long message, if the CVs happen to read this, even if you don't run medical conditions by a doctor, I am sure there is one on the set who has diabetes and can explain them this. It is actually farily common sense.
If you wondering why I am going on about this when I could be talking about arhi moments that happened is today-it is because I am doctor (actually still in my residency now) and a big nerd and things like this bother me so I had to vent.
Did anyone else think about this-out of curosity are there any other members who are residents or medical students out there:) I am starting to feel old in this forum, I am only 25 but feel like there a lot teenagers on the forum, Back in the day when I joined, I was a youngster as well. 😊 Now I am the old person pointing out medical issues on the show😊

haha!

im a resident too! laughed alot.. but stopped looking at medical logic on tv a long long time ago!

I am a doc too but when I watch these soaps, I shut off my intellect. Just sit back n enjoy romance. Lol! The fact that they r projecting Arnav to have type 1 diabeties yet having tabs instead of injections struck me from early on. Just sit back n enjoy. We use our medical intellect the whole day anyways lol!

i just ignore when i see the diabetic scenes. it's only a drama. you take medicines to lower sugars and not when your sugar is already low. you eat sweets or drink juice with sugar and have a balanced snack to get it back to normal. and if you have had diabetes as long as arnav is supposed to have had, you are always prepared so that you can avoid low sugars. you never skip meals or snacks.
i have been a type 2 diabetic for over 16 years.. i got mine as a side effect of my kidney transplant medication. i have had it under control and have been off of my medication for the last 2 years.
first time i ignored it but this time when they did the scene, i thought to myself "what the"
