thank God...some one else noticed it...I was so mad at CV's wrong information...Please some one explain to then when your sugar is low...you are not supposed to take any medicine until you recover.
CV's should be careful what they are showing.😡

im a med student in my 3rd yr and i totally get it...
it made no sense tat he was hypoglycemic when he didnt take his meds...i mean cvs dont need to go to med school they could just read it online if they were going to make tthe lead a diabetic!!
i was totally irked when they showed tat scenen yesterday...also coz keeping away the medical facts if he was actually low on blood sugar he could hav just had the juice in front of him...
i just let it be coz most of the shows lack any sense.

I was so annoyed by this too! Thanks for making a post about it!!

I'm a fourth year med student and this sort of medical misdiagnoses happen in Indian television all the time!

Same thing with the first time he passed out...he missed his medications. That would have made him hyperglycemic.

At least in this scene..they initially tried to show that he missed his meals and hence the hypoglycemia. But afterwards...when the entire family came over...someone mentioned that he missed his medications today...that screwed up the scene for me. And I agree with the juice comment! It was right there..if they had made Arnav a little smarter (please no bashing...lol)...he could have tried to reach for the juice but fainted in the process...that would have made the scene more convincible for me.

Plus I hate how they always show that he can't eat anything with sugar. As a diabetic, you can still eat sweet things...just not as liberally.

im a medical student ... haven't seen the episode yet, but since he didn't have any food but may have had his meds (??), his body would have low glucose. If he took medication, it would further lower his glucose, increasing the chance of hypoglycemia. And I believe he's a type 1 diabetic, but the pills are included just because its a show and they don't want to include injections/insulin pump.

Well, facts aside i think we also need to keep in mind that this is a drama. Not a medical show by any means. The last thing I wanna see is Arnav injecting himself so the show follows the correct medical diagnostics. I mean the CV's are trying and I give them credit for that because regardless of the medical aspect, we got what we wanted in today's episode...

You are totally right. I am a biologist and I kept wondering which type of diabetic Arnav was like for... the longest time. Then I was like its a drama and I guess they assumed most ppl won't bother with the little details. But I personally think when it comes to the medical situations they should research at least a little or if not that for heaven's sake at least google the word.
